Specter Isle

This is the law: blood spilt upon the ground cries out for more.

Aeschylus

SPECTER ISLE

They call them specters .. ghost-owls bearing scepters (usually rods, wood, twigs or sticks and some even with purported 'imbuements')

And think of the topography as representing three concentric rings ... with the outer-shell being the isle (now currently the centre of the manufacturing hubs and as of now the densest cesspool of minions and entities who continuously travel along the [distortion canal] which spans the second ring and links the isle to the 1st-ring) the second shell is a relic .. an 'atlantis' it being 'the now defunct city of floating entities' ... the 1st-shell harbors [the core] ('was formerly the hub from *albatross*) a dense cluster of scrapers where high-powered entities, avatars, minions and orbs reside and collide in a continuous show-display of pyrotechnics for the spectators overlooking from roofs.

And of the surveyors who currently roamed the isle .. porcelain and alabaster-hue'd skinned parliaments currently navigating the outer-branches.

And but at the new manufacturing hubs off-site at the isle that the sects had constructed rather than lead, steel or [hard] iron the chief cash cow incoming and pouring into the hub from the canals was a crop .. an algae-agave compound and which seemingly could be synthesized into a nectar or even snipped right off the leafy ridges for the beak-wearers.

The couriers use scepters .. and the scepters are meant to accommodate the shard-carriers on these usually hazardous treks a(long)/(cross) the canal to get en route into the mainland.

it’s searing - the chasm separating the isle and the main core is a maelstrom.

- the distance from the outer-ridge [the isle] to distortion canal: approximately 15.6-km

- distortion canal length: approximately 1550 yards

"the core (and the isle to some degree though to a lesser extent) was powered by hundreds of mini-reactors and power-node assemblages which made up the grid/interface."

.. it had occurred when the specters stryking-arm had arraigned Boone, they had kicked down the hatch to find the otherwise stoic lad clamoring around the hut in a seemingly mad-fury grab for some select items before a perceived departure from the arena however upon the apprehending it would seem that his plans were inevitably cut short ..

Factions had shown how the generators/reactors could be used as a harness for the scepters.

The overlords respected the businesslike approach of initiates like xoorna .. who simply swiped in for his daily allotment of shards and then proceeded on his way forth.

ANTITHESIS

Even the vamp sects hierarchical construct ran counter to most of the other core units structure (though this can partly be attributed to vergen walth's proclivity for remaining cloaked in a sort of disapparation when utilizing the specter-guise) .. you see most of the sects had it where the chancellors and vice-chancellor would be the most significant orbster .. however the vamps sided against this distribution instead selected the stunningly gothic enchantress sylzia instein to be their spokesperson when addressing the hub/spectators.

But see now what you had to understand was that all the cores generators and reactors weren't all purely electrical by nature .. they were all elementally 'influenced'/charged but that didn't mean all were electrically powered necessarily.

Moreso than just for mere offensive purposes and intentions (though that's what the esper alliance specters have popularized) emittance from the scepters can be used to ward off ulterior energies, spirits and (counter) aurals.

STANCHIONS

the first prototypes were of course elementary as expected .. and both the shivas and pyros were literal stanchion-posits or skeletal movers along the horizons-axis.

CASCADE ZILVERSTEIN: Cause you’ve got the ores and the refineries .. moving the shards inland was one thing.

Distortion canal jets you right past the second ring into the hub/core.

XON ZAMMERSTEIN: See what you've got to understand now is that the core is not just a physical enterprise or digital for that matter but rather also a cybernetic, hallucinogenic and illusory even spiritual (meta)plane as well .. orbsters, well now specters who understand and utilize this connection slash interplay make a killing in node allocation.

It's like an armageddon played out by mecha .. unknown if that was the sides (alias and esper) initial intentions but is what transpired effectively.

THE INTERFACE

IXLE PENNINGTON: We'd all figured the next logical step .. that once they found a new source they'd stop utilizing the [meta]entheogen and in [the interface] they found that indeed.
