I never have, and never will, understand why people are so afraid of things that are different. I just don’t get it.
I’ve asked that question so many times, and yet, every time, I received a different answer.
The fear of safety; fear of losing control; fear of losing power; or just, people are insecure.
I think, for me, it’s those last three reasons that apply to my life.
I had what my pack, the Golden Moon Pack, called a, “damaged wolf.” I couldn’t shift.
My wolf first woke up when I was eight. I was playing in the creek by myself, and she spoke to me. She told me her name was Aisha and that she would never, ever, leave me.
From then on, Aisha was my best friend. She made me laugh and smile; she was the one that built me up when others tore me down.
Aisha was different, and that made me different. And I’ve come to believe that “different” is good, because, as Aisha says, “It’s all the different things on earth that make our world special.”
