Chapter 1

She said her brothers best friend would be on her way. An hour had passed, and we stood beneath the shed of an old noodles shop. I wished I had driven my car. But Oriana insisted that we went by foot. By far the stupidest idea she said we we agreed.

The rain did not seem to stop. It kept on getting heavy. And the shed leaked dripping water on Jude as she jumped away, stepping on Oriana.

“Gross.” Jude pinched the fabric of her frock and held it away from her flesh. Made sure the wet cloth did not touch her.

Ignoring them both, I put the cigarette between my lips as I went for the lighter in my pocket.

“What did he say? When will he be here.” I held the smoking cigarette between my fingers as I looked over my shoulder to where Oriana stood.

“He isn’t attending the call.” She said.

I nodded.

Lush red car stopped before us, splashing the muddy water on my boots. That’s why I hated rain. I crushed the stick beneath my foot as I stepped ahead, but Oriana seemed to be in a rush to sit in the front seat

I let her. Jude opened the door for me to slide in before her.

I was seated in the center. The boy must have been our age. He looked at me through the mirror and winked

What a flirt I thought.

“Girls, are you ready?” He asked before blazing the motor of his vehicle.

“Leon. How about we have ice cream?” Oriana turned to face him.

He looked at me once again from the mirror with a questioning gaze. He was asking if I agreed with the idea. I looked away.

“Sure.” He turned the wheel as the car raced on the road. I kept my gaze outside, nothing per interest, but it was better than catch him staring at me.

He pulled up before a a mall we got out and once in he said he had some business so we could go by ourselves and meet him at the entrance.

Oriana was sticking to that man. Maybe she liked him but she would have confessed it already if she did. It was a piece of cake for us to get a man or to get him into our bed.

I felt Leon’s gaze land on me before he left, and Oriana looked at me like I was the one flirting here.

We got ice cream and ate it while we looked where he went. We ended in a club filled with hot mess.

It was still early to get drunk, but who cared I ordered a glass of devil kiss. As I sat on the chair across the counter.

Slow music, very boring.

I turned around and he was there.

Without a word he grabbed the glass from my hand.

" Give it back.” I warned.

“Or else?” His brow lifted.

I punched him in the stomach. He wailed in pain, catching attention of some around us.

" I did not expect?”

“You won’t. A lot of things now give it back.”

He drank from it so I ordered another cup.

" where is Oriana and the other girl that was with you.”

“In the clothing shop.”

He gazed back at the VIP door from where he came from and without a second thought he took me in there.

“What the hell.” And we were in the room already. It was sound proof. More quiet and less suffocating.

More rich people acted uncivilized some laid drunk while the others kind of did the same thing. They were all playing a game. Shit they were kissing each others girlfriend.

And they all were about our age and I recognized some of them from the business di news my father took me too.

Leon joined the circle and a girl came to stand with him as he swung an arm around her. And the kissed.

I slipped my hand from his but he took it again, more firm hold.

Mu heart skipped a beat as he broke the kiss and looked at me. Eyes dazed and lips puffy and red.

I found myself staring in his gray orbs, stunning.

I slapped him, hard. Red creeper in to his cheeks.

I made a move to walk away but he came behind me, stopping me.

I turned around to face him.

“What?” I nearly yelled.

“Why are you leaving?” He asked me.

"What else am I supposed to do. Watch you kiss another lady while you hold my hand. ” I let out a humorless laugh.

“Where you jealous.” I lifted my brows because I could no lift both of them like him.

“Me? Why?” I asked him.

“Then why did you walk away?”

"Because we don’t know each other. You don’t even know my name.” I told him.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...

Sharda: I really enjoyed the pace of this story. It was mostly realistic, but It was tough to wrap my head around that a 13-year-old boy would be so intuitive and a friend to his mom. My 13-year-old daughter is super smart and says I am her best friend so I guess it is possible. I struggled because boys usu...
