Fallen for my kidnapper (#1)

JENNIE'S POV....

I woke up early on a Monday morning. I had my college classes early that day and i couldn't be late.

Being the daughter of Elijah Montgomery the richest, most powerful man in the entire country, and his only child at that, i had a lot to live up to.

It wasn't a coincidence me taking the same classes as him in highschool and making sure i passed them with the same score as him.

It wasn't a coincidence I did the same course and went to the same university he went to.

I was made into a clone of him, so i could take over the company when he retired.

It was what i was trained for my whole life.

So i had to do as he said always, even get engaged to the man he chose for me.

Richard.

The son of one of his business partners.

They were talking about joining forces, his company and my father's.

So my father can have even more power, if that was even possible. And he could have more power.

They both win.

So they wanted to merge it into one but still be a family business.

How do you do that? His son marries Elijah's daughter.

I knew Richard since highschool and i did not like him.

He was bossy and rude. He had asked me out several times but i said no to him.

I had to agree when i was 18 however because my parents told me to. They even suggested a romantic get away so we could know each other better and be alone.

I refused. All our previous dates were so terrible. He would yell at waiters about anything and everything. He would talk the whole time about himself and not let me get a word out.

And he would just be arrogant. I did not like him at all.

But i still went out with him because that was the only time my dad would let me go anywhere without three bodyguards following me around.

I was so over protected. I couldn't even go to the salon without a stone face man in a suit, looking serious all the time standing next to me.

The only place they didn't follow me to was the bathroom. Which they waited for me at the door.

I never had sleepovers at anyone's house, they either come to mine or we don't have it at all.

I didn't understand why dad was so overprotective.

And when I would ask mum to convince him to let me go, she would just say, "listen to your father jennie, it is for your own good."

Mrs Rachel Montgomery was of no help.

She never went against my father.

So Richard, although being annoying, was a little helpful.

My father trusted him with me so we could be together and alone without several men following us to 'keep us safe.'

I don't know if my parents are just being annoying or they worry too much.

When he asked me to marry him, two months ago when i turned 19, i had no choice but to say yes.

That was what father wanted. And i saw his nod of approval when he saw the ring on my finger.

This monday, after class, i had to meet up with my fiance for lunch afterwards.

At least i could ditch my bodyguards for a few hours.
