Chapter 1

Chapter 1

Cynthia danced to the song played on the podium. Her body moved with grace and it looked like as if she was walking on thin air. Her movements looked so graceful and fluid. Her body moved like water but her moves were fire.

The men in the bar stared at her, stopping all of their business meetings to see her dance and they were amazed. Soon their business meetings resumed as she took a small break, just like she knew they would.

She was dressed in bodysuit featuring a multi water renaissance printed mesh fabric with ruched detailing and a bardot neckline over it she wore a sheer black shiny skirt with a thigh high split, allowing her to move.

The dark haired, sapphire eyed beauty slipped from the stage and got changed into her dress, a satin red long dress with deep v neck and thin straps and a thigh high slit. Her hair was pulled into a messy bun and her makeup was the same from when she danced, red bold lips and neutral eyes.

She walked out and slipped into the crowd. She walked up to a man who had green eyes, dirty blonde hair and an amazing physique, sat on his arm rest and whispered something into his ear and he looks at her and nods. He was happy and delighted with what she just whispered.

He stood up too along with her and went to a group of men. They looked up and stared at them.

“Andrew!” a man recognised him and shook Andrew’s hand.

“Come on,” he said and Andrew sat down next to him while Cynthia stood by his chair the table.

“So Andrew, to what do I owe this pleasure?” the man who Cynthia found out was Flores, says as he sips on his drink. His eyes fell on Cynthia and it never left her. He looked at her from the top to the bottom and then from the bottom to the top. He was amused by her.

“Are you looking at her?” Andrew says and Flores looked at Andrew who was looking at Cynthia.

“You are lucky to have such a bad bitch,” he says smirking at Cynthia and she raises her left eyebrow and looks first at Flores and then at Andrew. He gave her a smile and she returned back, knowing what it meant.

“She is all yours then,” he says and Cynthia walks up to Flores and sits on his lap and crosses her legs. She drapes her hand over his shoulder and looks at him, intensely and Flores was drawn to her.

“She’s your woman Andrew. I don- I don’t want any beef,” he says gulping loudly but he wasn’t able to take his eyes off of Cynthia. Even as he said that, he saw Cynthia leaning forward so he leaned forward too and kissed Cynthia and after a few seconds, when he parted, he was breathless.

“You don’t want any beef huh?” Cynthia asks in a low, seductive voice as she runs her finger over his cheek and Flores looked at her and then at Andrew. He was hypnotized by her.

“I don’t want any beef with you,” he says and Andrew smirks. Cynthia gets up from his lap but her hand stays on her thigh, waiting.

“Then why don’t you tell us about your deal with Cullen?” Andrew says and Flores panicked. He immediately got up to leave but Cynthia was faster than him. She pulled out her gun that was strapped to her thigh all this while and held it at Flores’s head as her other hand held him back.

“How did you know about that?” Flores asked and Andrew laughs and comes closer to him.

“The bad bitch you spoke about is enough,” he says looking at Cynthia and she smirked back, proudly.

Cynthia Salazar was Andrew Draggo, the Crime Lord of Draggons’, (name inspired by his last name and dragons) beloved girlfriend. He was one of the top feared men of the country and she was his queen.

Cynthia posed as a bar dancer at his club, to listen to men’s conversations without them suspecting it and that was how she heard Flores and his deal and that was what she had whispered into Andrew’s ear.

“Andrew, I am sorry. I didn’t mean to,” he says but Andrew just laughed.

“I know you are. But I don’t forgive men who betray me or lay hands on my woman,” he says taking out his gun and shoots Flores, on his chest and Cynthia lets him fall to the ground. She immediately knew that he was alive but not in a good condition. Andrew purposefully let Flores live because he wanted to give him a taste of his own medicine.

The entire club was undisturbed because they knew better than to interfere with Andrew’s business that might result in their near-death experience or death itself. Cynthia moved away from him and walked up to Andrew.

“Clean this up,” Andrew says and a few guards carry him out. Andrew was used to this. He killed men when they betrayed him and the law was afraid of him. No one did anything and they turned a blind eye when his name was in anything.

“You don’t like it when anyone lays hands on me huh?” Cynthia says and Andrew scoops her up and pulls her close to him. He stares at her and pulls out a cloth and wipes her mouth and throws it away.

“I don’t want any man’s remains on you,” he says and then kisses her. Andrew couldn’t resist Cynthia, no one could. Before he met her, he was just a man who didn’t care about any relationships with women. He just slept with them.

But when he saw her fighting 5 tough looking men, alone with no weapons, he knew she was different. He was drawn to her beauty and strength and he fell for her. He did nothing without her by his side.

“You have no idea what I’d do to them,” he says as he moved away and kissed her once more. They parted but his hand still was on her back and he kept her close as they went to another group of men for a business deal.

Cynthia stood up and pulled her hair out of her bun. Her head was pounding and she massaged her neck as she walked towards Andrew.

“I’ll be outside for a bit,” she says walking out to get some fresh air. The cool air hit her face as she stepped outside and the music drowned in the background as the door closed. The city at this time was quiet, except some cars moving around.

She walked around the bar, smoking her cigarette and takes in the view. The city was beautiful at night. As she did so, she noticed some men talking to a girl. She walked up to them, to listen to what was happening.

“Come on girl,” one says and Cynthia approaches them and looks at the girl. She was in her teens and she looked afraid of these men. They were so much bigger and tougher than the little girl.

“Who the fuck are you?” one asks turning to look at Cynthia and Cynthia raised her eyebrows.

“Get lost woman, or I will cut you up,” another tough looking man says flashing his pocket knife and Cynthia calmly put off her cigarette and walked closer to him and kicked the knife out of his hand and put him to the ground.

“You’ll cut me up huh?” she asks looking at him and she felt someone come up behind her and all she had to do was punch his gut and he fell to the ground as well.

“Bro, she is Andrew Draggo’s chick,” one of the men says and Cynthia stared at him. Everyone knew who Andrew was but no one knew who Cynthia was because Andrew got all the credit that Cynthia deserved for her work and Andrew refused to let anyone know that Cynthia was in his gang because he wanted her to get information out of them and stay incognito.

Cynthia used her beauty to lure men and get information out of them just like how Andrew wishes but when they struggled or fought her, she fought back and they lost against her. She was extremely skilled in all kinds of weapons and fighting even without it.

“Are you going to tell him? Please don’t,” the same man asks and Cynthia knocked him to the ground and the other man as well simultaneously with a kick.

“I am the one you should be afraid of, you dick because I am Cynthia fucking Salazar,” she says twisting a guy’s hand painfully as they scream out in pain. She looked at the girl who looked afraid of her.

“Don’t be scared of me. I don’t bite, well not everyone,” she says and the girl smiles.

“Thank you so much. You saved my life,” she says giving Cynthia a hug and Cynthia pats her back.

“Come on; go home before some other douche comes. It’s not safe out here at this time. Go on,” she says and the girl nods.

“If someone ever troubles you, just don’t be afraid of them because you are so much stronger than they are. Give them a fight and don’t back away alright?” Cynthia says and the girl nods.

“Thank you, ma’am, you saved my life,” the little girl says walking off quickly and Cynthia smiled to herself. No one thanked her. Everyone was afraid of her because of Andrew and not for how powerful she was.

She often went unrecognised even if she was the main person to get something done. The credit always went to the men and that frustrated her. She more skilled than Andrew himself, but she was overlooked because she was a woman.

She lit another cigarette and asks the driver to drop her off at her home and he does as he was told. She goes to her apartment; a luxurious one she had purchased and went into her room. She dropped her jacket on the table and jumped in the shower.

She was exhausted today so she immediately went to bed after getting changed into her night clothes. She fell asleep as soon as her head hit her plush pillows and heavenly soft bed.
