Waking up, I feel my wolf start to cheer up more and more for some reason. I figured he come to his senses about my chosen mate and decided to brush it off. Looking to my left, I see my future Luna sleeping peacefully which made me consciously smile at how beautiful this woman is. I gave her a kiss on her cheek, getting up and got myself ready.
Entering my office, I see my best friend and Beta, sat down waiting for me with a look on his face.
“What’s with the glum look on your face?" I asked sitting down in my seat.
"We found a rogue on territory last night." He replied as I nodded.
"Okay, then kill it," I said simply, grabbing my documents and starting to sign them.
"That's the thing, the rogue can't turn back. It communicated with me. It had learned how to write amazingly. It isn't dangerous at all either. It's just protecting the human inside of her," he told me as I sighed.
"Guess we're making a road trip."
"Alpha! Thank Goddess! The rogue is in that cave, the Gamma is keeping her company," The commander said as I nodded my head.
Walking towards the cave, I felt my wolf try take over. Suppressing the guy is hard, he's such a pain.
"What the hell is up with you?" I asked.
"Mate! Mate, she's in there. I know it." I scoffed at his comment and shut him out.
I don't have a mate and there is no way my mate is going to be a stupid rogue who cannot change back. Ever. However, as I continued closing in towards the cave, I smelt a hint of roses and water. A scent so beautiful I had to have it. That was mine.
"Mate! Mate!" My heart clenched.
It can't be...can it?
The scent became stronger as I made my way into the cave. I was going crazy from the smell. I wanted to smell it all the time. I needed it in my life.
"Are you okay?" Lewis, my Beta, asked.
"I think I smell my mate," he stopped in his tracks and looked up at me with a twinkle in his eyes.
"Could that rogue be-"
"Maybe," I continued walking, wanting to see for myself if this rogue may be my mate.
After what seemed like forever, I stopped and stared at the beautiful golden brown wolf laid in front of my Gamma. She looked so beautiful and her gorgeous golden brown fur shined and glistened. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. I crouched down and began stroking her fur which made her look at me. Her eyes glistened over, accepting the mate bond between us and nuzzled her nose in my hand.
"Mate," I whispered, as she started licking my fingers.
However, as quick as it had came, she stopped, making my wolf whimper. Her eyes were fixated on something before whimpering. I touched my neck and remembered the day before where my chosen mate and I had decided to mark each other. I gulped, regretting it and now only wanting this wolfs' mark. Only hers.
"Hey, are you hurt?" Her eyes glazed black, ignoring my question before laying on my Gammas' lap.
I growled at that gesture but instantly stopped when she growled at me, obviously not liking it. I stood up, dusting the dirt off of my knees.
"How long since you've found her?" I asked.
"Around five hours now." Lewis answered.
I looked at her, purring in Jacob's (the Gamma) lap which made me rage with anger but I had no right to be angry, "take her to the pack house. I want her fed."
With that I left the cave, finally being able to breathe again.
"Hey baby," my girlfriend, Jessie, pecked my lips as I smiled and pulled her onto my lap.
"Hey gorgeous," I smelt in her strawberry flavoured scent, instantly getting bricked up.
Fuck, her scent always gets to me, I love it. I gave her a light kiss on her neck, trailing my kisses up and down her neck which she gave me complete access to. I then started sucking on her mark, making her moan.
She pulled away, "want to take this to the bedroom?"
"Well, why not here on my desk?" I smirked as she rolled her eyes.
"Babe, you know how I feel about doing it here," I sighed and nodded my head before throwing her over my shoulder and leading the way into our bedroom.
I walked out of our room, instantly being hit with that same roses and water scent. I looked around before following the scent. Even though I like Jessie's' strawberry scent, I love this one even more. It just smells amazing and I want it all. I stopped short in front of Lewis' room. I clenched my fist knowing my mate is in there alone with an un-mated man. I was about to barge in when I heard her whimpering. She sounded hurt and my heart clenched at the sound. I wanted to take away her pain.
"What are you doing?" Jacob and Lewis both asked me, ruining my train of thought as I looked at them, both stood protecting my mate away from me.
"I was just passing by that's all." I lied.
"You're lying, your room is on the opposite side of the house. So is your office. So what are you doing?" Lewis asked again.
"I smelt her scent and followed it. Then I heard her whimpering," I said truthfully.
Now just let me in you motherfuckers.
They looked at me, trying to figure me out.
"If you're going to reject her then I suggest you do it now," Jacob said as I balled my hands into a fist.
"I am not going to reject her," I said angrily.
"Don't be foolish, you are. You're too in love with that she-wolf to even hurt her feelings," Jacob spat out as I stopped in my tracks knowing he's right. "Exactly, you'll reject your fated mate for your girlfriend and everyone in this pack knows it. She's not even fit to be Luna."
"Jacob! That's enough, he gets the points," he huffed in anger before walking to my mate where she made herself comfortable on his lap. His lap when it should've been mine. "He's right, you know. She's not fit at all to be our Luna. She can't even throw a ball."
"What makes you think that rogue is fit to be Luna then hm? She can't even transform back and you're questioning my choice in the future Luna isn't good enough?!" I scoffed, listening to her whines in pain. "Figure out how to turn her back and kill her, do you understand me?"
"You're ruining our name by choosing that she-wolf," he argued back.
"Do I need to remind you how her kind killed our parents, forcing us to be where we are right now at a young age?" I spat as his mouth closed, "get her to change back, force it, whatever you must do. I don't care but once she is in her human form, she dies."
I walked out on them, leaving Jacob enraged but I didn't care. They disrespected their future Luna.
"I want mate! Let me out! Let me out or I'm never speaking to you again!" I shut him out, hoping to never hear his voice again.
