Foreword

Empress Of Ambience

May 29th, 1914. 2:20am. (St. Lawrence River)

Their hearts are empty, yet the sea is full. Full of those who struggle in the water, full of lifeboats that capsize and smash into the ships broken hull, spilling the people onto the sea. Ripped apart and filling with seawater, the ship dives deeper into the ocean. Empty hearts fill with seawater, ripped in two, contaminated by the screams and cries of those around them. The groaning of the hull drowns the screams of the people. The waves consume them one by one, taking them under, its as if the gates of hell have been ripped open, like the hull, and like their hearts. They fall into the sea, silent and still, pain and agony fill the cold air, and as soon as it started, it has ended. The ship is no more. The people are no more. The screams and cries cease. The water is still, and so are the people.
