FADE IN:

EXT. FOREST – NIGHT

A deer sprints away from something from the woods.

NARRATOR (V.O.)

People often think having powers is

good. I mean, just look at all your

comic book heroes. What? You

thought those were fake. There just

all retired, while the new kids

deal with the aftermath, like the

government.

NARRATOR (V.O.)

(PORTUGUESE)

And it freaking sucks!

EXT. FOREST ENTRANCE WAY – NIGHT

While the deer, worn out, stands still as a girl leaps from

the nearby bush.

NARRATOR/KIRA (V.O.)

My name is Kira Thorn, your Savage

Queen, and my story starts on

Junior Prom night.

Kira, seventeen, acts like a guard dog to her friends and

family, but to others she acts like a dogfighter. She has

shoulder-length blonde hair. She wears ripped jeans, a black

sweatshirt, and sandals. She drags the deer behind her; one

arm drips blood.

A large BLACK WOLF with scars emerges from the shadows and

lingers at the crosswalks. The black wolf scratches the tree

while it glares at Kira. Kira readies to fight the wolf, but

it grins and walks away. Kira drops the dear and sneaks into

her backyard, and climbs into her bedroom window.

INT. DAD’S TRUCK – AFTERNOON

Kira enters her dad’s red Toyota Tacoma as he cleans the

dashboard. Her DAD, forty-two, is a workaholic with a gentle

soul. He has short black hair, and wears jeans, a buttondown, and dress shoes.

KIRA

Now, dad, I know you said no prom,

but I have a reason.

DAD

And that is?

KIRA

Steve. We don’t trust him, Sarah

doesn’t trust him.

KIRA (CONT’D)

(PORTUGUESE)

Heck! Even the town can’t trust

him.

KIRA (CONT’D)

I should go and make sure he

doesn’t try anything with Sarah.

DAD

Maybe?

KIRA

But, dad, if your only concern is

the black wolf I saw last night, I

can take it.

DAD

It’s not the fact that the animal

is nearby. It’s what you said about

its more human demeanor.

KIRA

Do you think someone is after me!

For real this time?

DAD

Yes. But, I can’t exactly talk you

out of protecting Sarah now can I?

As they arrive home, Kira hugs her dad and rushes to her

room. A picture of a dark-green dress and ponytail with

braids hangs on the mirror.

She breaths in and closes her eyes, as her clothes and hair

transform to match the picture. On her way out, she grabs her

guitar and joins SARAH, sixteen, wears a black dress and

shows Kira an app she built from scratch. Sarah like a cat

tends to keep to herself and hide details.

STEVE, seventeen, the town troublemaker sits in the front of

his yellow sports car as he twirls his knife.

INT. SCHOOL AUDITORIUM – NIGHT

Kira is on stage as she finishes a rock song with her band.

As the slow love song plays Kira heads off to the side of the

room. Sarah joins her, and the two laugh as Steve gets caught

in his attempt to spike the punch.

Kira laughs as she strolls toward the exit. Kira bumps into a

MAN IN A SUIT, forty-five, with sunglasses. He drops two

coins. Kira catches them and hands them back.

MAN IN A SUIT

Sorry about that, Miss Thorn, but

keep one. I think you’ll need it.

Kira nods and rushes outside the door.

INT. THORN FAMILY HOUSE KITCHEN – NIGHT

Kira arrives home in her prom dress, and locks the door

behind her. She grabs a drink and looks up; she sees The

Black Wolf in the distance. Kira glares as it darts to the

kitchen door then the wolf knocks.

KIRA

I don’t know what you are or want,

but if you try anything, I can--

BLACK WOLF

My dear, such harsh words. We are

more alike than you think. However,

my apologies for the scare.

KIRA

And you are?

BLACK WOLF/DARIUS

The name is

Darius.

Kira unlocks and inches the door open. The wolf transforms

into DARIUS, forty-two, a man who wears his wanted poster on

his face. Sports a tattered shirt, a leather jacket, jeans,

and boots. Kira checks the clock on the kitchen wall.

KIRA

You have five minutes till officers

arrive. Talk.

DARIUS

What would you like to know?

KIRA

You’re a shapeshifter like me. How?

DARIUS

Government experiments. You know

they like to have control the upper

hand.

KIRA

Then how are you here?

DARIUS

I broke free and want to help you

do the same.

KIRA

I don’t need to be broken free.

DARIUS

Don’t you? Look at yourself using

your powers to play pretend at

prom. You hide in a farmhouse; Need

I say more?

KIRA

How?--

DARIUS

Do I know all that? I’ve been

watching you for years. Join me,

and you won’t have to hide.

KIRA

I appreciate the offer, but you

should go.

Darius

Kira, this is not an offer. This is

a choice if you don’t come with me--

KIRA

What you’ll try to kill me? I’m not

scared of you.

Darius transforms back into his wolf from, and sneers as he

saunters off.

INT. THORN FAMILY HOUSE LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Kira sprints to the couch to look for the house phone.

Frantic, she dials her dad’s number. Kira fears the worst as

it goes straight to static, she collapses in the chair as she

huffs. Her cell phone plays Sarah’s ringtone.

SARAH

Steve.

KIRA

What about him?

SARAH

He’s gone missing.

KIRA

I’ll try and get in touch with my

dad, but I--

SARAH

What’s wrong? Did you hurt someone

again? Government? I can’t loose--

KIRA

Don’t worry about it just stay

where you are I’ll have my dad get

you.

Kira’s appearance shifts as she hangs up. Kira’s hair and

nails become long. She hesitates for a moment, then barrels

out the door.

EXT. FOREST - NIGHT -(THREE HOURS LATER)

Kira lies in a pool of red then rises. She sniffs the air, as

a tear runs down her face. Her nose leads her to Steve’s body

with a major claw mark in his chest. Kira peers to a large

rock by the road with blood letters that reads, “You should

have joined.”

Kira holds her breath; as sirens blare. She touches Steve

then closes her eyes. She looks down at her hands and arms,

and sees her new look. She peers into a puddle of water and

smiles at her success.

EXT. THORN FAMILY HOUSE - NIGHT

Kira’s dad answers a knock at the door to see A Man In A

Suit/LOGAN. LOGAN looks cold with an aura of regrets that

hunt him. Logan sits on the top step as Kira’s dad sits

beside him.

DAD

Agent Grace.

LOGAN

Logan is fine, but know I am sorry

for this.

Logan hands Kira’s dad a document.

Kira’s dad taps Logan on the shoulder as he then enters a car

and drives away. Logan sighs as he heads into his black chevy

with Sarah.

LOGAN (CONT’D)

Did you find the location of the

other coin?

SARAH

Yea, she is in the forest two miles

north.

EXT. FOREST - NIGHT

Kira rushes through the forest and stumbles upon a camp.

Agents with a black wolf logo are all around. Kira transforms

into a squirrel and climbs high into the tree. She sits on a

branch and the coin rings.

SARAH

Hey Kira.

KIRA

Sarah how? Why?--

SARAH

To put it simply cool spy coin I

made; you got it from prom.

KIRA

The man?

SARAH

Yea his name is Logan and I am with

him now.

KIRA

No, you stay out of this. It’s--

SARAH.

I know, but I am taking this creep

down with you.

KIRA

Why?

SARAH

Got home and found my parents and

dog dead. I’m putting a bullet in

him.

KIRA

I just don’t think--

LOGAN

Kira I need you to get to Seventh

and Park, your dad put you in my

care as his last wish.

KIRA

He killed--

LOGAN

I’m afraid so, but you don’t have

time to focus on revenge--

Agents find Kira and fire. She hops from the trees into town.

EXT. TOWN SQUARE - NIGHT.

Kira takes a deep breath and runs toward 1st Street.

BEGIN MONTAGE - FIGHT TO SEVENTH AND PARK:

-- EXT. FIRST STREET - Night

Kira transforms into a Margay and tries her best to hide

under cars and in peoples yard. A dog revels her location to

the Agents.

-- EXT. SECOND STREET - Night

As she is being shot at Kira transforms into a spiny tree-rat

and heads into the sewer.

-- EXT. THIRD STREET - Night

As Kira emerges from the sewer she transforms into a Maned

Wolf and tries to hide until a family’s screams alert the

agents.

-- EXT. FOURTH STREET - Night

Kira heads into the tunnel and fights the Agents that

surround her.

-- INT. FIFTH STREET MUSIC STORE - NIGHT

Kira transforms to look like the teen boy in the store. She

smiles at the playlist as one of her songs is in the queue.

Agents spot her and she fights them.

-- INT. SIXTH STREET MALL - Night

Kira with heavy breath sighs as agents surround her only

escape. She fights her way out but is shot by a rifle. She

limps and reaches the location.

END MONTAGE

EXT. NATURE PARK - NIGHT

Kira holds her ground as a black Chevy barrels toward her.

She grabs the car and stops it. She freezes as she peers into

the front window to see Sarah and Logan. She enters the car

as Logan and Sarah nurse her wound.

LOGAN

Nice to meet under less mystery

KIRA

Yea, I guess.

LOGAN

Questions?

KIRA

I heard him say brother is that

true? And why did you bring Sarah?

LOGAN

Unfortunately yes. Darius is my

problem. Sarah well how should I

say --

SARAH

I got high test score on a secret

report online that I hacked into. I

was going to tell you when we--

Darius lifts up the car and flings it into the nearby forest.

EXT. FOREST - NIGHT

Logan and Sarah crawl out from the car and fire their pistols

at Darius. Kira leaps out from the roof and begins to

skirmish Darius. Darius laughs as he throws Kira through a

long sharp rock.

Kira watches Logan get his wrist broken and then Darius turns

to Sarah. Darius claws her, then drags her to the cliff’s

side. Kira screams and shapeshifts. She lunges for Darius and

they both descend towards the ravine.

EXT. CLIFF SIDE - NIGHT

Kira and Darius brawl through the air. Darius grabs Kira as

he notices the ground but Kira overpowers Darius as he lands

back first on the rocky terrain.

EXT. RAVINE - NIGHT

Darius laughs as he picks up Kira by the neck. He slams her

into a spiky rock, as blood pours and her screams fill engulf

the air.

DARIUS

You think you can change? You think

they will accept you? Now sweetie

that has to be the dumbest dream

I’ve heard.

KIRA

Don’t Call me Sweetie You sick

animal.

DARIUS

Aww! Still have some bark left.

Good!

Logan with a shot distracts Darius for a moment. Kira pulls

herself from the rock just as Darius is about to kill Logan.

She lunges to Darius’s head and slams him down. Darius gets

up and fights Kira to the point of exhaustion. Kira stands

triumphant over Darius.

KIRA

What do we do? We can’t just leave

him here.

LOGAN

Your call.

KIRA

Got a way to lock him up?

SARAH

No! He should die. He--

KIRA

Are we monster’s like him now?

SARAH

Justice, Kira if you won’t kill him

I will.

KIRA

Justice is cuffing him and putting

him in jail. A bullet to the head

isn’t right.

A group of agents with large brown mental cuffs appear.

SARAH

I--

Kira hugs Sarah.

KIRA

Need time to heal. So do I. It

seems Logan does as well. Let’s

heal together.

SARAH

How? I don’t have a home.

LOGAN

About that.

INT LOGAN’S ESTATE - NIGHT (ONE YEAR LATER)

Kira climbs into her room. Sarah looks to the window and

smiles as she closes her laptop lid and tip-toes to the

bathroom. Kira plucks at her guitar and stares at the door

with a framed white piece of paper as the light from the

bathroom slides past it reads adoption of Kira Thorn, and

Sarah Grace.

FADE TO BLACK.
