Chapter 1
Thunder could be heard outside the windowpane as it poured like never before. Off the shore of a nearby cliff, a century-old mansion could be seen. In Transylvania, it got cold and very wet during October and whenever it started raining, it wouldn’t stop for days. Within the mansion lived a vampire that had been around for centuries. Just recently, this vampire has been falling in love with a slayer. For years, these two battled, but no matter what happened and no matter how much damage they would bestow upon one another, they could not get rid of each other. On October 31st, an unusual day occurred for the vampire. For he was not expecting the vampire slayer whom he had fallen in love with to enter his home….
“Tsh...it’s past midnight and not a single blood bag has come to the door.”
Said by a young, built, and thin man. His long straight black hair reached his mid back as his crimson-like eyes stared at the flickering flames of the fireplace. He ran his pale fingertips through his hair as his lips parted to expose his pearl-white fangs. He sighed for a moment as a streak of lightning flickered across the room. The sound of thunder could be heard outside as he suddenly picked up a scent.
“I smell…blood.” Said the vampire with a slight grin.
Without hesitation, the vampire stood up as his black robe parted to reveal his chest as he followed the scent. He traveled throughout the mansion, searching for where the scent was coming from as he stopped thirty feet away in the darkness. His vampiric eyes widened as he saw his old foe by the windowpane. There, stood a man with thick brown locks with stunning blue eyes. He was completely drenched from the rain as his white blouse had already fallen past his shoulders. His muscular frame was exposed as he was wounded on the left side of his waist. Droplets of his blood stained the carpet as his wooden stakes were also scattered on the floor. The vampire continued to stare but smirked when he heard how fast the vampire slayer’s heart was beating. Slowly, he walked quietly down the hallway, only to make it another ten more feet until the slayer stood up and panted with his eyes closed.
“Those damn…. low-life vampires….one of them almost had me….” the slayer said as he winced while panting. The vampire began to move closer as he was now just five feet away from the slayer.
“Well...this is something I have never seen before.” Said the vampire as he stared at the slayer. The slayer looked straight forward and gritted his teeth. This was the one vampire he could not turn to ash. No matter what he did, there was always something intervening, always something inhibiting him from killing him. Although he could sit there and think about it, this was not the time to do so.
“Tsh…I didn’t think you lived here. No one has lived here in over ten years.” Stated the slayer as he continued to pant from the pain. The vampire crossed his arms and smirked once more.
“I’ve been living here as long as I can remember- “The vampire stopped speaking as more blood appeared on the ground from the slayer’s wound.
“It won’t be fair to have you die before I get the chance to kill you myself.”
The vampire reached out for the slayer as the slayer slapped his hand away.
“Keep away bloodsucker!”
The vampire laughed as he suddenly grabbed the slayer’s wrist and pulled him toward his chest. The slayer winced from the sudden pull of his wrist as the vampire wrapped his arm around his waist.
“I have to clean up your wound, or the smell of your blood will drive me mad.” Stated the vampire.
“W-why are you helping- “The vampire placed a finger to the slayer’s lips and hushed him.
“I will only do this once for you.”
