“I said marry me”
I…….I don’t understand Veer, How is that related to dad’s condition? And Why are you wasting time? You should be saving my father right now.
“ Well I will save your father only if you agree to marry me. That’s the price you pay for me saving his life”
“Are you crazy? You see me after years and all you ask from me is to marry you and that too as a price to save my father’s life? Well don’t keep your hopes high because I won’t. If you think you can play games with me then you are mistaken I will find another doctor for my dad and..” before I could complete he grabbed my arm and close to his body our faces just mere inches apart. All I could see was empty eyes staring right into my soul. Not a trace of longing, not a trace of……love.
uhh..What are you doing, LEAVE ME. I tried to get away from his hold but he held me with even more strength this time.
“ You think you will be able to save him? By the time you will take him to another hospital he will be gone. He is only surviving right now because of the treatment I gave him as soon as he was brought here and if you really want him to live then sign these papers and save him. Time is ticking Damira, the more delay you cause the worse his situation gets.”
“Why are you even doing this? What will you gain from this Veer?”
“What will I gain from this?” A slight smirk appeared on his face which almost instantly changed into an amused look like he was enjoying every bit of it. “ Let me think.. First I wish to make your life hell. Just like you made mine. Just like you took away happiness from my life and I wish to do it every single day. And second I wish to show you exactly what you could have had but never will”
A lone tear escaped my eyes as I looked at the man I longed for all these years only for him to hate me enough that he can even use this situation to hurt me.
“Alright if that is what you really wish, there you go”
After signing the papers I threw them on his desk and walked out without sparing a single glance his way. How can a single day flip my life apart? How can it go from the happiest day of my life to the worst day of my life?
If he really wants to play games with me then bring it on Veer Singh Kohli. Let’s see who wins.
