What is your opinion?

So worth the wait 💖

"I have absolutely loved this story and the world the characters live in. A story of survival, war and a love between two peoples that should not exist but cannot be denied. Both Cordelia and Kedar would give anything for each other but are bound by the responsibilities to lead/save their people. It's beautiful and poignant and I look forward to Book 2 💞"

Wonderful storyline

"I’m loving this story! It’s not easy to blend fantasy with reality, especially with characters but the author does so with panache. There is beauty and harshness, hatred and love in those wonderful 3D characters. And the war promises no easy ending for anyone. It’s almost impossible to put down!"

Ashes of the Oasis

"Sarah Janet is a phenomenal writer who knows how to immerse readers into this story. I am fully engaged in every chapter and the characters development. Kedar and Delia are so well written and thought out, as well as everyone else. I’m excited to see what happens!"

I am INVESTED!

"This book has to be one of the best stories I've read on Inkitt in awhile! From chapter one, I've been pulled into this amazing new world of magic (+ sand) and thrown in the middle of a war. The plot itself is amazing, definitely right up my alley. It's so unique and well-defined, and the writing style has great flow. I read all nineteen chapters in one night, staying up late just to know what happens next! You know I'll be reading the next few updates, because I NEED ANSWERS. I love Cordelia and her loyalty to her people, which contradicts Kedar and his loyalty to the people of Mathe. I feel like that is both of their strengths and weaknesses. There's so much tension (some romantic in nature) between them both, and you already know that one will hurt the other in the future. Yet, every scene leaves me squealing! This is the easiest five stars I've ever given. All I can say is — read this story! "

A story worth your full attention

"This is one of the few stories that really made the plot run through my mind as I read. Everything is so well described, with so much detail that you can watch the story run las if you were watching it in a tv. I loved the size of the chapters, because the writing is so rich that it doesn't become tiring and long, nor is it too short that it leaves everything unfinished and up in the air. The characters make you root for them, despite all the confusion about who is right or wrong in this war, and certainly because of the romance that hangs in the air in the chapters. The suspense about the leader of Mathe's army is very well written because you don't know if he is good - due to his attitudes, or bad - with everything being a big act. And unfortunately I started reading with only 9 chapters published, because now I'm eager for more. I hope the story remains as good as the first chapters, and it will definitely become one of my favorites here on Inkitt"

Ashes of the Oasis

"Aside from lack of editing, it's still good. The love story needs a push. A bit of a disappointment for an author with other great works."
