An Unfinished Tale

I am running... running for my life. They are right behind me and if I slower my speed just for a second they will catch me.

I'll have to save him, so I need to run. If I don't get this to him he'll die, the only thing I'm left with. I can't let it happen. I was busy in my thoughts that I didn't see the branch of the tree coming when it my face and I fell.

A sharp pain shoot up in my head and my eyes started getting blurry. I stood up with all the strength left and tried to walk but they all surrounded me and there was nothing that I could do.

***6 moths back***

I woke up as Liam screamed. It irritated the shit out of me but I was used to it after all it is his daily.

"Shut up Liam!" I shouted.

I opened my eyes and stormed towards his room. I kicked his door open and saw his little structure flinch."I'm s-sorry sissy" he said crying.

I hated hearing kids cry. I took a couple of deep breaths before his weeping became louder.

I greeted my teeth and stomped towards him. I held both of his arms and pulled him up from his bed. I sat him up and he started shaking with fear under my grip. "Look at me Liam" and he looked at me with teary eyes.

"What did I tell you?" I asked him. "There is n-no p-pl-ace for we-ak-" he wasn't able to finish when someone snatched him from me.

"Enough Maze!" Autumn shouted. I looked at her bluntly. "Can't you see how scared he is?!" I looked at Liam who was curled up in a ball gripping Autumn's shirt tightly. "Your anger is getting worse!" She screamed.

I rolled my eyes and said "ok fine it was my fault" "You didn't even apologize" she mentioned. "Uhu, not that way, I'm still your elder sister treat me like one" I said running a hand through my hair.

"Yeah an elder sister who abuses her siblings" she said sarcastically. I scrunched my eyes and looked at her "I've never even pinched you in my whole life and you call me an abuser?!" "It's mental abuse!" She shouted back.

"I wish Big bro was here!" She said out of frustration. "Enough!" I screamed punching the wall behind her. I breathe heavily and left the room.

He..... he's the one who I hate the most. For not even a second I forgot him. No matter how hard I try, it's worthless. He destroyed my leftovers.

I rushed out of the house and ran towards the one and only place.

I sat by the lake thinking, thinking how I ended up like this. I was not supposed to have this, was I? A small tear left my eye as I looked at swans swimming happily. Wish I were one of them.

I don't know when I got up and started walking but I soon found my legs stopping infront of my small apartment.

I entered without histation as it's nothing new to me. Autumn was deed Liam while I just went to my room and banged the door shut.

It's not her age to take responsibilities, it's her age of making rash decisions, sneaking out, stealing food from kitchen.....not cooking for us.

After a while I got downstairs ready for college. Another day. I sighed as I looked at them ready waiting for me.

"You can go to your friend's house for a sleepover. Take Liam" I said shortly as their lips broke into large smiles.

After dropping them off to school, I headed straight to college. On my way a yellow butterfly sat on my hand. Mom used to say it's a sign of good luck. Let's see what happens today.

I entered the building and was immediately embraced by Emily.

"So...?" She dragged. "What?" I asked.

"You know about the new hot stuff joining our college tomorrow?" "Yeah"

I said gulping down her juice. "How?" She asked excited. "You just told me" I replied plainly.

She gave me an irritated look and slapped my shoulder. "You're no fun!"

I rose my eyebrow and said "Then who is fun?" She dreamily looked at me and said "Ashley"

Oh I forgot to mention she's bisexual and we became friends when she proposed me and I told her about me being straight. I rolled my eyes and said "Being around you is getting dangerous, who knows I might become bisexual too"

Her eyes sparked up and she said "that would be great!" I scrunched my nose and said "Not at all" she huffed and got up from the table in an angry manner and walked away. (Ps: I'm not against Bisexuality. I support them. This is just the charecter's opinion)

I shrugged and continued my lunch.

The stinky cafeteria lunch.....

After dropping Autumn and Liam home,I went to work. I work in a garage after college and then at a restaurant at night.

I was fixing a car when I heard the horn of another car. "coming" I shouted and went towards the car.

A guy with dirty blonde hair and green eyes came out.

"If I knew I would get to see hot cheeks working at a garage, I would've come here way before" he flirted but I didn't reply. Calm down Maze, this guy is a customer you can't kick him there. You don't wanna loose your job again.

"What's wrong with the car sir?" I asked straight. "Oo~ being professional huh? Fine! It's engine is making noise" he said. I fixed his car and he paid me along with a paper with his number and he said "Btw it's Garry, beautiful" he winked and went off.

I sighed and continued.

The rest of the day went normal and it was finally time for bed.
