Chapter One
In a forsaken village nestled amidst the trees, chaos reigns. Humans have invaded, seeking to claim the mystical land for their own. My fellow nekos and I face the brunt of this hostility. The once peaceful streets are now filled with hostile shouts, stolen belongings, and fires blazing in the night.
Amidst the turmoil, I frantically search for my parents, but they are nowhere to be found. Desperation and fear grip my heart, and tears blur my vision. The realization that I am lost and alone adds to my distress, making me feel utterly vulnerable in this hostile world.
Summoning all my courage, I decide to flee, seeking solace and safety elsewhere. As I sneak away, I believe I have outsmarted my pursuers, but just as I reach the edge of the village, I am harshly pulled back by my tail. A searing pain shoots through my body, and everything goes dark.
When I wake, I find myself tied up and chained in a cold, dimly lit van. Panic overwhelms me as I struggle against the restraints, but they hold firm. My heart pounds in my chest as I realize I have been captured, and the fate that awaits me remains uncertain.
The van continues its journey through the winding forest roads, taking me away from everything I've ever known. Fear gnaws at my soul, yet a glimmer of hope remains within me.
