Summary
Many years ago, the Mortal Realm was thriving and filled with magic. Nowadays, the Realm is only a shadow of the great tales of old. For Noelle, magic is something she has only read about in books. She has lived a hard and lonely life in an orphanage, dreaming about all the adventures she wants to have when she can finally leave. Her life takes a drastic change when she turns 18 and she gets selected to be sacrificed to the King of the Sea. He is rumored to be a giant man with no kindness in his heart. Every year, the King of the Sea picks an 18-year-old virgin to bring to his kingdom. Noelle has no idea why she gets chosen and what will happen, but it does not take her long to discover some secrets about herself and the world. As she gets sucked into a world of magic, temptation, and desires, she navigates herself the best way she can. However, trouble seems to follow her sharp tongue and feisty attitude.
