Chapter 1
CHAPTER 1
GRAPHIC DESIGN STUDIO - SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA.
Hwang Bo-ra (Team leader of Team 15) was surrounded by an electric environment in a graphic design studio. The room is exquisitely designed, demonstrating the studio's dedication to originality and innovation. The room is loaded with design books and trophies, and the walls are decked with artwork that displays the team's extraordinary creativity.
In her early 20s, Hwang Bo-ra is a lively and talented graphic designer. She concentrates intently as she works at her modern, minimalist workstation, which is thoughtfully set up with design tools, colour swatches, and a variety of imaginatively stimulating trinkets. Alongside her, a warm cup of Korean tea was placed. She placed her hands around the lovely porcelain cup, sensing its warm surface and supple texture. A symphony of flavours begins to dance on her tongue as soon as she places the cup to her lips and takes her first sip of tea. She finds herself lost in a state of absolute joy with each drink, the cares and concerns of the outside world dissipating.
Her mind is free to explore the huge canvas of her artistic endeavours. Her artistic touch is needed to convert a blank canvas into a work of art. She finds comfort in the rhythmic movement of each stroke as she dips her brush into vibrant colours.
In this cosy haven of comfort and creativity, time appears to pass more slowly. In the creative process, which is a contemplative dance between brush and canvas, she loses herself. Her desire takes over, and the outer world fades into memory. She continues to be slowly guided through the creative maze. For a renowned client's branding project, her computer screen is a mesmerising canvas that exhibits a seamless synthesis of traditional Korean themes and cutting-edge modern features. The artwork exudes elegance, and every component fits together flawlessly, which is a witness to Bo-Ra's immaculate sense of style and her in-depth knowledge of her culture's history.
A board of ideas that she meticulously selected for this project stands boldly on the left side of her desk. It has a combination of pictures, colours, and textures. Throughout the creative process, this visual tapestry acts as her compass, igniting her enthusiasm and motivating her to push the frontiers of graphic design.
The room is filled with the sound of cheerful conversation and sporadic laughs in the background. Bo-Ra's creative team works well together, creating a nurturing environment that fosters ideas and promotes the development of the arts.
The studio is warmly illuminated by the natural light that streams in through the huge windows, showcasing the creative magic in action. With each delicate touch of Bo-Ra's stylus, the colours on the screen swirl and come to life as time goes on. Each design element is painstakingly created by her and is given a personal touch, making this branding endeavour a genuine work of art.
She produces a pallet of vivid colours with a few clicks and drags that mimic the grandeur of the Korean landscape—mountains, rivers, and cherry blossoms. Each form she creates and each curve she perfects communicates a tale of South Korea's rich cultural past.
She was seated beside the big, stylish window, gazing down at the busy city with fascination. She worked in an cabin that was well situated on the 10th floor of the towering company building, giving her a beautiful view of the city. As cars swerved through the congested streets and people scurried by like little ants, she could see the rhythm of the city as it pounded with life.
Bo-Ra's designs are skillfully intertwined with elements of the bustling city life, including its diverse ethnicities, traditions, and fashions. Every stitch, every brushstroke, and every colour decision capture Seoul's energy and brilliance. Bo-Ra's works have the same sense of life and awe as the vibrant neon lights that dance across the city skyline at night or the warm, golden glow of the sunset that surrounds the city in a mystical atmosphere.
In the bustling cabin space, the atmosphere is alive with productivity and camaraderie. Ahn Jae-Hong (manager of team 15), a friendly and enthusiastic co-worker. at the edge of his immaculate desk, tucked behind stacks of books and orderly stationery A treasured picture frame with a priceless moment captured in time lies at the edge of his immaculate desk. Three young people, Jae-Hong, Bo-Ra, and Choi Yoon-so, were captured in the picture on the best days of their school years. calling recollections of joyful fun and amazing experiences shared in the famed grounds of their school, the picture radiates warmth and love. Jae-Hong gives a sense of calm leadership as he stands upright and smiles contagiously. Standing next to him, Bo-Ra appears grace and charm. Her laughing eyes show the energy that filled everything she touched. and on the right side of Jae-Hong, Choi Yoon-so was there, whose adorable dimples and kind demeanour provide the ensemble a feeling of familiarity and truthfulness. The background of the photograph is decorated with the colours of childlike innocence.
His contagious laughter reverberates throughout the room and his warm smile makes everyone in the surrounding area feel at ease. Jae-Hong is not just a colleague but also a close friend to Bo-Ra. They have been friends since their college days. Jae-Hong has always maintained a positive attitude and continued to support his friends in their endeavours. He is essential in fostering a supportive and cooperative work environment by encouraging everyone to voice their ideas openly. The whole crew respects his capacity to unite individuals because of his contagious passion and energy.
Jae-Hong gave his crew a warm grin as he noted their zeal and support. "We're all in this together, so thank you for the good sentiments," he responded modestly. "We all have creative blockages occasionally, but they don't limit our potential or ability. The important thing is to accept them, utilise them as obstacles, and keep moving ahead."
He stated, "Each of you brings different points of view and abilities to the table." The team continued to listen closely. "It's okay to have a creative block sometimes. Take a break, clear your mind, and come back refreshed. You've got this!", "And keep in mind that you should actively seek inspiration and allow it to flow through you rather than waiting for it to happen." He says to boost the work of the team.
He heard Members 2 and 3 (both female co-workers ) whispering to one another, and a gleam of amusement gleamed in his eye. He jokingly joked, "I see you two plotting something, but let's pour that energy into our job. Your team's creative synergy could produce something truly remarkable, who knows?
The female coworkers blushed and exchanged timid glances, and Jae-Hong's words of rewards appeared to give them an extra push. As they all exchanged ideas and brainstormed together.
Jae-Hong said in a calm, confident voice, "I believe in each and every one of you. We've done amazing things in previous projects, and we'll do it again. Take risks and think creatively without hesitation. Accept the difficulties, and with your help, we can go over any problems."
"Now, let's take the break, refresh our minds, and rejoin with a renewed sense of the job," he said with a warm grin. "Our imaginations are limitless, and I can't wait to see what amazing things we'll be able to do together. We can handle this. " (he smiled.)
Members 2 and 3 murmured, he is cool, had a positive character and was encouraging; they murmured and their eyes were watching him as if he was their crush for them.
Jae-Hong looked wearily at Bo-Ra, Jae-Hong questioned Bo-Ra, "Don't you need a break?" with a little smile on his face. He was concerned about Bo-Ra's welfare. He was aware personally of the value of taking a break from the rigorous demands they had to deal with every day in order to refuel.
Bo-Ra hesitated for a short time her brow wrinkled in determination to do the task at hand. She was the kind of person who never likes to admit when she needed a break and was constantly trying to outdo herself. Jae-Hong's concern in her eyes, however, reminded her that caring for herself was essential for her to be efficient in her work.
Then Jae-Hong watches the art she made and says "Vowwwww", "I love the unique style in your designs, I can see how hard you've been working on this. Don't worry, your efforts will pay off, and your designs will impress everyone."
Bo-Ra:- "C'mon man stop kidding me! PlZ!!!!!!!"
Jae-Hong:- "You're doing an amazing job with the project. Your creativity and attention to detail truly shine through in your designs."
Bo-Ra:- ho really, I am hearing your #inspirational dialogues from the school days. (she smirked after saying it).
Bo-Ra chuckled and said, "Well, well, it appears that my comments have had an impact on you. I have to admit that I've always had a knack for motivational speeches. Do you believe that the power of words has a magical quality?
after a while.....
"I guess you're right," Bo-Ra finally changes the mind.
Bo-Ra stood up from her chair, As she took a deep breath to fix herself, her phone buzzed with a message notification. Jae-Hong noticed Choi Yoon-so's name popping up on Bo-Ra's phone, and he couldn't ignore the twinge of sorrow he felt deep within. He had always admired Choi-Yoon-so from afar, cherishing every moment they spent together, but he could never find the courage to express his true feelings.
When she glanced at the screen, her heart skipped a beat as she saw the name "Choi Yoon-so" displayed at the top of the notification bar. She couldn't help but smile as she was her best friend and it's been a while chatting to each other. But after that, she noticed that Jae-Hong saw the name of Yoon-so and his mood was twisted. Jae-Hong's face seemed to take on the shape of a question mark as he struggled to hide the pain inside. He experienced a range of emotions, wondering why fate seemed to be manipulating his heart.
Bo-Ra, always the problem-solver, suggested, "Let's take a short walk outside, get some fresh air. It might help clear our minds and bring a fresh perspective to the tasks at hand."
Jae-Hong considered her proposal and found himself nodding in understanding. stretching their stiff muscles as they made their way to the cabin exit. As they went outside, the sun warmly greeted them; the contrast with the artificial illumination inside made the outdoors even more delightful.
Bo-Ra covers her face with her palm in an attempt to block the sun hoping to shield herself from the sun and reduce the tan's intensity. Regretfully, she mumbles to herself, "I should have applied some sunscreen cream before coming out."
Jae-Hong quietly grins in an effort to lighten the atmosphere while observing her behaviour and listening to her self-directed comments. He knows that Bo-Ra is conscious of her appearance, He answers with a joking "kk" (a word that sounds like "haha" in Korean),
However, Bo-Ra confuses his response by having no comprehension of the beauty problems women often face. She snarls at him in annoyance, saying, "Hay! You guys never seem to understand the issues women experience with their appearance.
Jae-Hong thinks for a while and says "Hmmm" and says joking "Kk" again. By hearing that Bo-Ra smiles and smiles.
Jae-Hong and Bo-Ra went near a gleaming Refreshment cold beverage vending machine conveniently located near the exit of the cabin. They approached the vending machine, which displayed an array of tantalizing cold beverages, ranging from refreshing fruit juices to energizing sodas. Jae-Hong, being a fan of citrus flavours, opted for a zesty lemonade, while Bo-Ra, a lover of fizzy drinks, chose a sparkling peach soda.
As they made their selections and the machine whirred to dispense the drinks, they exchanged knowing smiles, enjoying their excitement of the cool and refreshing sips that awaited them. They quickly got their beverages in hand and made the decision to choose a secluded area to spend their break together.
Spotting a beautifully polished marble rock adjacent to the vending machine, they knew it would be the perfect spot to sit and relax. They settled down on the rock. they were drinking sip by sip. Bo-Ra asked Jae-Hong with a question mark on her face, " Didn't u still like Yoon-so?".
Jae-Hong smiles with a black and sorrowful face and says "I am willing to forget my past but that's the only memory I have and had".
Bo-Ra gave her friend a knowing glance as she looked at him. She said quietly, "You still like Yoon-so," with pity and understanding in her voice. She was aware of the lingering emotions and recollections that wouldn't go away. Bo-Ra was well aware of the strength and bittersweet nature of first loves.
With a gentle nod, she continued, "It's obvious that you couldn't forget her, and you still hold those memories close to your heart. Therefore, you..." [Bo-Ra paused, searching for the right words to convey her point.] "That's why you enjoy the taste of her, like zesty lemonade, which happened to be her favourite drink". Bo-Ra says it with a small smile and with the hope that she can see them both together in the future.
Bo-Ra and Jae-Hong savoured each sip of their icy beverages, savouring the coolness that washed away the day's heat. The two buddies had chosen to treat themselves to their preferred beverages on this normal day. While Jae-Hong delighted in the smooth, gratifying flavour of his own beverage, Bo-Ra gripped her can tightly and savoured the bubbly bubbles (fizzy bubbles) that tickled her mouth.
Bo-Ra finished her drink first and casually glanced around for a nearby garbage bin to dispose of her empty can. Spotting one not too far away, she aimed at the garbage bin. Seeing her childish actions Jae-Hong make a little smile by seeing it Bo-Ra gave Jae-Hong a playful smile. As he reached the bottom of his cans, suddenly Bo-Ra looked at him. She asked him, "What if I lose the aim?".
Jae-Hong says, "We are not kids anymore". Bo-Ra is still giving a playful smile. "well ok then!", "if u lose you would have to obey my orders this day," Jae-Hong says with an inconvenient reaction on his face.
She raised her can and without aiming at the bin she directly through the can into the bin and the can with a proper 100 per cent accuracy it went inside the garbage bin.
Bo-ra commented, "Now it's your turn, just give it a try, Bro," with a lot of confidence and a sly gleam in her eyes. Jae-Hong took his can with a mixture of resolve and anxiety, understanding that Bo-ra's taunts required him to demonstrate his mettle.
Jae-Hong adjusted his stance, took a long breath, and tried to concentrate before he fixed his gaze intently on the far-off trash can. He wanted to demonstrate to Bo-ra that he was capable of making an accurate throw. His focus grew as he mentally pictured the trajectory.
By seeing the actions by Jae-Hong Bo-ra was laughing and laughing from the inside and she is controlling the smile to not to get over on her face.
With a sudden flick of his wrist, the can flew through the air towards the target. However, Jae-Hong's aim was far from flawless despite his best attempts. The can deviated from its path and flew farther away from the bin than he had planned.
They were shocked to see that the can never even made it to the trash. Instead, it struck a poor person who was close and lost in their own thoughts. The air echoed with a gentle thud and a shocked gasp as the person was entirely taken off guard by the sudden impact.
Jae-Hong's heart sank as he realized what had just happened. He rushed over to the person, filled with remorse and apologies. when he went closer to the person he realised that he is non-other than his colleague, Hwang Chan-sung.
Hwang Chan-sung made a childish cry-boy face twisted with madness and by seeing it Bo-Ra and Jae-Hong smiles.
Bo-Ra pretended to be innocent as she questioned Jae-Hong about "why he beat him" while Chan-sung gave them a scary stare that was obvious in his rage. Jae-Hong, still taken aback, responded with a shocking look, "Ha... You are the one who started it!"
Bo-Ra continued playfully, "Woooo......., Really? But you were the one who threw the can towards Chan-sung!"
Chan-sung became enraged after overhearing their humorous banter and yelled at them in disgust. Jae-Hong said, "No, no, we were simply playing a fun game, in an effort to diffuse the situation. I didn't want to hurt you, Chan-sung; everything was done in good humour.
Even though Chan-sung's rage was under control, the event nevertheless left him feeling hurt. "Am I just a punching bag for you to hit whenever you feel like playing a game?" he challenged them. "It's not right!"
Bo-Ra, smirking slyly, couldn't resist the chance to stir things up, so she jokingly slid her nose between Chan-sung and Jae-Hong. She laughed at the allegation made at her, her words dripping with disdain. "I see, truly. Accuse me? As if I'd ever carry out such a deed! Not me, but Jae-Hong, who did it all. You have the incorrect person in mind, buddy."
Chan-sung gives a doubting look to Bo-Ra, then Bo-ra sneers "C'mon man the person who through the can was Jae-Hong, all u need to do is to blame him not me! ok, you Pervert, f*cking a**hole!"
listening to her words Chan-sung was stunned and made a little bit of cry baby face.
Jae-Hong was shocked by Bo-Ra's treachery since he had been portraying himself as innocent up until this point. He struggled to refute the charges as he mumbled. "Hold on, wait! That is untrue! I promise I did throw the can but that is not on purpose.
But Chan-sung was not in the mood for justifications. He turned to look at Jae-Hong with a burning gleam in his eyes as his rage reached a boiling point. "Don't even attempt to fool me by acting innocent! and sneers at him, "You f*cking A**hole, can you even give me a f*cking explanation?"
Jae-Hong couldn't help but feel ashamed and remorseful for his stupid mistake as he stammered and uncomfortably explained everything to Chan-sung. Seeing Jae-Hong's discomfort, Chan-sung murmured in frustration, realizing that getting angry wouldn't solve the issue. After taking a big breath, he asked Jae-Hong to show him exactly where the garbage can was. Jae-Hong unwillingly pointed to the garbage can, which was in fact only 7 feet away from where Jae-Hong had thrown the can.
Chan-sung became angry when he realised how close they were. Jae-Hong missed such an easy shot, which shocked him. He picked up the can that Jae-Hong had tossed and, from a greater distance of approximately 14 feet, neatly hurled it into the trash can without any hesitation. Jae-Hong was even more ashamed and sorry when his shot was successful.
Unable to contain his rage, Chan-sung sneered at Jae-Hong. He believed that his friend's recklessness was intolerable and that the needless trash had gone too far. Jae-Hong was reprimanded after he raised his voice and scolded, "Even a kindergarten kid could throw the can from a distance of roughly 7 feet with ease! You're an a**hole!" He was angry, and it showed in his harsh comments.
And now Jae-Hong made a crybaby's face. By seeing Jae-Hong's crybaby face Chan-sung becomes madder at him and to make him smile Chan-sung says, "Jae-Hong, did you forget to bring your sense of humour today? Let me lend you mine!"
Chan-sung sees Bo-Ra and says, "Bo-Ra, I think Jae-Hong needs a crash course in comedy. Can we arrange that?"
"Bo-Ra, I'm starting to believe that Jae-Hong is allergic to laughter. Can you confirm?" Chan-sung continues.
Jae-Hong makes a little smile on his face and then by seeing it Bo-Ra says, "I think Jae-Hong's humour got lost in the mail. Should we start a search party?"
Jae-Hong keeps smiling and apologizes to Chan-sung.
Then Kang Ki-young (HOD; Head Of the Department) come closer to them and shouts at them "Gotcha!" and he says "Just kidding" by smiling.
Kang Ki-young's face glows warmly when he smiles and the corners of his lips open wide to show a row of white teeth. Because of his contagious smile, the staff members are naturally comfortable in his presence. Despite holding a prominent position within the organisation, he exudes a humble and personable manner that makes him popular with both staff members and fellow department members.
ki-young, ask them "Are you planning to do something illegal?" and then suddenly he smiles again and says, "Just kidding, by the way, why are u here?"
Chan-sung says, "Kindergarten kids are way better than Jae-Hong"
Ki-young laughs and he put a playful hand on Chan-sung's shoulder and gave it a little squeeze to add a sense of friendship, his eyes twinkling with mischief. Chan-sung couldn't help but giggle nervously, not knowing what would happen next.
Ki-young was still laughing, but there was a sudden change in his mood. The once-pleasant trill of laughing now had an uncanny, spine-tingling resonance, giving it a frightening feel. A shiver ran down Chan-sung's spine and his initial joy was replaced by a feeling of worry.
Ki-young moved towards Chan-sung's ears and murmured "did Jae-Hong miss the target again?" Ki-Young started laughing and laughing Chan-sung thought there is something worse going to happen but suddenly his mood changed again suddenly Chan-sung shouts, "How did Mr. Ki-young know that you miss the target."
Ki-Young replies, "This is the same place and position, and he mistakenly hit me twice."
Chan-sung totally becomes mad at Jae-Hong and sneers at him saying, "You really miss the target again and again but the can reach the same place and position. Woooooo you are really good at aiming and just promise me that you will not hit me again and again."
Jae-Hong replies, "Hmm.., may depend on the situation." he says it by smiling.
Ki-young was deeply immersed in the conversation when his phone rang, pulling him out of it. When he picked it up, there was an urgent message from the Chief Operating Officer's (COO) secretary. The message stated that the manager and leader of Teams 3 and 15 had to show up right away for a meeting on the 12th floor.
Ki-young quickly informed Bo-Ra, Team 15's leader, and the team's manager, Jae-Hong, of the seriousness of the issue. They all quickly gathered their belongings and made their way to the office's central elevator. They quickly punched the lift button to the 12th floor while worrying about the unexpected encounter in their heads.
Chan-sung had to exit the lift when they arrived on the 10th floor. He waved goodbye as the lift doors closed, allowing Bo-Ra, Jae-Hong, and Ki-young to continue their ascent as he had a different destination.
Arriving on the 12th floor, the trio stepped out of the lift and found Pyo Ye-jin, The team leader of team 3.
An electrifying energy, sizzling with challenges and resolve, permeated the surroundings as the two team leaders locked eyes. Their eyes tangled like serpents in a mesmerising movement, each attempting to dominate the other psychically. It appeared as though they had a coded language, a silent conversation that only they could understand.
The environment around them appeared to vanish in that intense moment, and their secret meeting seemed to take place. Even while the onlookers in nearby areas could feel tangible tension, they were unaware of the details of the silent conflict they were seeing.
The leaders' eyes resembled the nighttime vision of a black cat, with barely a glimpse of their genuine intentions visible.
Both the leaders and managers of the teams entered the spacious conference room with a sense of eagerness and enthusiasm. A big, polished mahogany table dominated the centre of the room, which had huge windows that let in natural light and gave it a professional appearance. The table was flanked by cosy leather seats, which exuded professionalism and efficiency.
Also, there was a prominent, attractive foreigner who is 50 years old, A translator, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and his secretary. The conference space itself was a striking example of business professionalism, furnished with stylish contemporary furniture and cutting-edge technology.
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) caught the room's attention as the attendees took their seats with his commanding presence and unmistakable leadership demeanour. His commanding posture and alluring vibe gave off an air of power and purpose, setting the stage for what appeared to be a significant and fruitful encounter.
He started, "Good morning, everyone," with a pleasant, comforting tone in his voice. "We appreciate you attending this meeting. I hope you've all had a fruitful start to the day, and I'm looking forward to the talks that lie ahead. We have some pressing issues to deal with right now, but I have faith that we can move our company ahead by working together to find the best answers."
He captured the entire room's attention with each word, and there was an air of eager expectancy. The room was prepared to discuss the challenging themes that were ahead since it was clear that the COO could inspire and drive his employees.
Before we get into the details, he added, "Let me just take a moment to recognise the extraordinary talent in this room. Your team is outstanding because of the distinctive perspectives, experiences, and skills that every one of you contributes. I sincerely appreciate your excitement and commitment to our common objectives.
The team members responded with genuine grins and nods when he acknowledged their contributions, recognising their work and fostering a sense of camaraderie.
The COO emphasised that "it's important to keep in mind that our combined intelligence is what gives us the most power." and continues saying, "Collaboration is the key to our success; it is not simply a trendy word. Let's promote an atmosphere of openness where different points of view are actively welcomed and everyone's views are respected."
He emphasised the need of developing an accepting culture where team members feel encouraged to speak out and realise their ideas count. The COO's dedication to encouraging a collaborative environment produced a feeling of purpose among the members that reinforced the idea that they were all essential to the decision-making process.
He said, "As we negotiate the issues ahead, we may run upon opposing viewpoints and strategies. Accept these variations as chances for development and creativity. Any challenge we face may be addressed by working together."
Without a doubt, Sir. We're ready to put out our best effort, Pyo Ye-jin adds with sincerity, her voice filled with thankfulness at the chance she has in front of her. Knowing that her staff is equipped to handle any issue that arises, she exudes confidence.
Bo-Ra and Jae-Hong mermerd "Haaaa..., not again."
Jae-Hong smirked and said with a tone of murmuring, "I guess she always wants to pick a quarrel with us.
Bo-Ra nods and says, "She's always been like that. It's just her nature."
Pyo Ye-jin observes their joking conversation and exchanges looks as the talk goes on. She focuses her focus to Bo-Ra. Pyo Ye-jin sassily adds a dash of sass to her attitude and arches both of her eyebrows with a hint of mischief, perhaps taunting Bo-Ra.
Bo-Ra smiles at her for her inconvenient actions.
A foreigner of age 50 with salt-and-pepper hair and sparkling blue eyes stood up. He wore a well-tailored navy suit that displayed quality, paired with a crisp white shirt and a stylish silk tie with subtle Italian patterns.
"Buongiorno a tutti!", the forihner starts.
Jae-Hong listening to it he smiles slightly and quietly so that no one could hear him or see him.
Bo-Ra is doing the same, she is smiling slightly and quietly.
"Good morning everyone", the translator translates.
Jae-Hong and Bo-Ra notices each other and they murmured the same question, "Why are you laughing."
Jae-Hong replies, "Hey, I was the one who questioned first."
Bo-Ra replied with a twisted attitude, "I smiled at you, for you incontinent smiling."
"You riddled witch!" Jae-Hong murmured and says, "I thought of a different meaning of Buongiorno a tutti."
"What do you think of it?", Bo-Ra questioned.
"eating the burger," Jae-Hong replies with a smile twisted with sadness.
The meeting continued and continued but the minds of Both Bo-Ra and Jae-Hong were running at no pace.
None of the people except the translator was able to understand what he is saying, every in the meeting hall appeared to be dozed with open eyes.
and then the translator translates, "As some of you already know, both of your teams have shown exceptional capabilities in your respective fields. That's why I thought that by joining forces, we could achieve something truly innovative and remarkable for our project."
COO murmured to himself saying, "For a word, he took an essay." and smirked.
COO orders both teams to start the project together from tomorrow. Everything was well but Ki-Young doesn't feel well due to the decision made by COO. Both the teams (3 and 15) go to their respective offices. at that time Ki-young requested to make a chat with the COO.
"I don't think merging both teams would make a nice deal.", Ki-Young says with a doubtful mind and a twisted scene of kindness and worry.
"They were best in their fields and each team lack with a skill and that skill can be replaced by both teams.", the COO replies giving a smile with hope.
"But..." Ki-Young paused, carefully considering his words before continuing, "Bo-Ra and Pyo Ye-jin's relationship is rather complicated, to say so." He murmured, his mind filled with concern. "They don't seem to get along well, and it's evident in the way they interact with each other."
Ki-Young continued, "It seems like they have an underlying rivalry, and their eye contact is always engaged in conflict. It frequently seems like people are competing with one another or attempting to prove something, rather than generating a positive and encouraging environment. Everyone in their immediate vicinity may sense this stress."
COO gently placed his hand on Ki-Young's shoulder, his warm smile radiating genuine kindness. "You know, you might have misunderstood them," he said in a soothing tone, trying to comfort Ki-Young.
When the COO showed empathy, Ki-Young looked up, his confused gaze softening. "Really? He replied, feeling a little ashamed but willing to consider the idea of another viewpoint. "I thought I had it all figured out," he said.
The COO laughed and laughed and laughed. Ki-Young makes a blank face.
Bo-Ra and Jae-Yong stood side by side in the modest, dimly lit elevator, their reflection mirrored in the polished metal walls. They were in a noticeable stillness, and Bo-Ra's mind was racing. The words stuck in her throat as she attempted to speak.
Bo-Ra finally broke the tension by turning to Jae-Yong and cautiously asking, "Hey... umm... do you really...?" As she battled to find the perfect words, her voice became halting. She struggled between an urge to express her emotions and the worry of possible consequences.
Jae-Yong looked at her with a mix of curiosity and concern. He could sense the inner confusion she was going through. "Do I really what...., Bo-Ra?" he gently supported, giving her the space to express herself.
"Sorry......., I forget what I am going to say," Bo-Ra replied with a smile.
"You totally become mad, what happened?" Jae-Yong replied making fun of her.
Bo-Ra and Jae-yong excitedly entered the cabin while walking with assurance. Everyone turned to look at them as soon as they walked in, wondering what was making them so excited. Without wasting any time, they gathered everyone around and announced the big news.
"Everyone, pay attention!" Bo-Ra remarked, her voice rising with excitement. "We'll be collaborating temporarily with Team 15 on a brand-new project beginning tomorrow," said the company. Their coworkers looked at each other, attempting to figure out what this partnership would entail as whispers and gasps of astonishment filled the room.
Jae-Yong stepped forward and continued, "Not only that, we have some fantastic news. We received a tempting proposal from an Italian company to work on a cutting-edge project." The air in the room crackled with anticipation as their colleagues eagerly awaited more details.
"We can't reveal all the specifics just yet," Bo-Ra teased, a playful grin on her face, "but rest assured, it's an exciting opportunity that will challenge and push us to new heights."
The workplace buzzed with enthusiasm as a result of their statements. A spirit of ambition and adventure was in the air as a result of the possibility of working with another team on a project for a foreign corporation.
"We'll need each of you to bring your best game as we begin on this trip together", Jae-yong continued, his voice taking on a more serious tone. "Let's make this project a huge success and prove to them how strong our team is!"
Ki-Young entered the cabin with a dazzling smile as the door to the cabin swung open, sending a wave of excitement through the cabin. Everyone was immediately uplifted by his contagious attitude. His voice was filled with joy as he exclaimed, "Good news, everyone!" "Due to your tireless efforts and commitment, we have landed a new, significant project!"
Ki-Young, HOD (Head Of Department) entered the cabin with a dazzling smile as the door to the cabin swung open, sending a wave of excitement through the cabin. Everyone was immediately uplifted by his contagious attitude. His voice was filled with joy as he exclaimed, "Good news, everyone!" "Due to your tireless efforts and commitment, we have landed a new, significant project!"
The group cheered and applauded while exchanging high-fives and congrats nods.
Ki-Young shouted that he is going to give the treat to both the teams tonight.
Everyone gives a shout-out.
Bo-Ra's face lit up with pleasure as her phone vibrated with a recognisable notification sound at that instant of happiness. When she unlocked her phone and saw a message from her close friend Yoon-so, her heart skipped a beat. When she opened the message, a mesmerising visual that took her into a world of vivid colours and fascinating sights emerged before her eyes.
Yoon-so's brilliant smile was captured in the picture, shining brightly against the neon-lit walls of a stylish New York City club. The neon lights threw a mesmerising glow on the ethnically mixed audience, creating an electric environment. The customers' laughing and talk generated a vibrant atmosphere, and the area seemed to pulse with energy.
Yoon-so appeared to be having the time of her life while surrounded by a bunch of gorgeous and handsome Americans who shared her excitement for the night. Their friendship was obvious, and they appeared to be having a great time together in the busy city.
In the caption accompanying the photo, Yoon-so wrote, "Last night in New York," by seeing it Bo-Ra's mind rounded with thaughts and she texted her "???????????".
Bo-Ra stepped out of the cabin, Her forehead was creased, and her eyes had a lonely appearance, showing the weight of her thoughts. Even though a cool wind was blowing on her face, the dread that was weighing on her mind continued. Her body language was a clear indication that she had been fighting a storm of emotions.
Jae-Yong, couldn't help but notice the change in her behaviour. He hesitated whether to approach her or leave her alone as he watched her from a distance, his face twisted with worry. He was a person who valued boundaries and respected others' privacy. His upbringing encouraged him to stay out of situations that weren't directly related to him. Despite his sincere desire to assist, he was aware of the need to maintain boundaries.
Nevertheless, it broke his heart to see Bo-Ra fighting her inner feelings. He wanted to be a sounding board and a rock for her when she needed it. He was aware that sometimes people needed to deal with their problems on their own and that she might not have wanted his assistance at that particular time and so, he decided to stand back and wait.
Bo-Ra called to Yoon-so.
Night Club- New York-Mid Night (12:00 Am).
A renowned nightclub opened its doors at midnight in the bustling centre of New York City, where the city's brilliant lights and electrifying energy never seemed to fade. Visitors who wanted to immerse themselves in the night's bliss were drawn in by the music's pulsating rhythms.
Yoon-so, in the centre of the celebration among the waves of dancing bodies and whirling neon lights. Even though the night had already made an impression on her, the moment she was about to fully immerse himself in the dance floor was cut short by the sound of his phone calling.
The name "황보라 (Hwang Bo-Ra)" came on the screen as she took her phone out of her pocket, sparking excitement and intrigue captured her face.
Bo-Ra shouted into her phone while in the bustling environment, "Hey, what does it mean?"
Yoon-so's brow curved in an expression of uncertain uncertainty. The thundering beats from the speakers made it hard for her to hear Bo-Ra clearly. She bend her ears to hear what her friend was saying. She found it difficult to focus amidst the noise and laughter around her, but she didn't want to miss a word Bo-Ra was saying.
Taking a step away from the dance floor, Yoon-so raised her voice a notch higher, "What did you say, Bo-Ra? I can't hear you well! It's so noisy here!"
Bo-Ra repeated her question, enunciating each word clearly this time, "I said, 'What does it mean to you?' Is it special?"
Bo-Ra have a little bit problem in hearing so she asks Yoon-so to get away from the speaker and then Yoon-so moves out of the club.
Son seong-Yoon a Korean American, one of the best friends of Yoon-so saw her going outside of the club.
Realizing the question, Yoon-so smiled, her face lighting up with warm recollections and said, "I am coming back to South Korea."
Bo-Ra's voice melted as she could feel Yoon-so's true feelings. "That sounds amazing!
Bo-Ra replied with a twinge of sorrow. "Yeah, we miss you too," she said.
Yoon-so with tears in her eyes ask about Jae-Yong, "How is he? Did he move forward forgetting the feeling?"
Yoon-so's heart felt heavy as she asked about Jae-Yong, with tears welling up in her eyes. She was overcome with thoughts of their time together, and she couldn't help but worry how he was getting along following their painful break-up.
Bo-Ra tried to be honest yet soft with her response. She said, "He still remembers you," with a mix of sadness and a trace of rage in her voice. "He's been struggling to move forward, finding it difficult to forget the feelings he had for you."
Hearing this, Yoon-so's heart pained even more. She never meant to hurt Jae-Yong, but circumstances had forced them apart, and she couldn't bear the thought of him suffering because of her decision.
"I'm so sorry," Yoon-so whispered, feeling guilty for causing Jae-Yong pain. "Please take care of him for me. I didn't mean to hurt him like this."
Even though she was still bitter, Bo-Ra acknowledged Yoon-so's regret and said, "I'll do my best to support him, but you should talk to him yourself when you're ready. He's been missing you a lot since you broke up."
Feeling a fresh sense of responsibility, Yoon-so mustered the strength to assure Bo-Ra, "I promise I'll be there soon. I need to sort out my feelings first, but I won't leave him hanging for much longer."
Bo-Ra smiled warmly, despite her sorrow for her friend. She mocked Yoon-so, "Hey, hurry up and get here quicker." She was attempting to cheer her up. If not, I may have to kidnap your guy personally. Yoon-so's little grin was caused by the lighthearted tone in her words, which briefly made her pain go away.
Yoon-so realised she had to face her feelings and the past she had left behind as she wiped away her tears. It would be difficult to return to Jae-Yong, but she understood that they both needed to get their answers and have time to recover.
Bo-Ra hags up the call.
"What happened? You look like you've seen a ghost!" Son seong-Yoon inquired loudly, her voice barely audible amidst the loud music.
Yoon-so, still catching her breath from the euphoric atmosphere, replied with a wide grin, "Oh, my old friend from school! She suddenly called me out of the blue! Can you believe it?"
Son seong-Yoon chuckled, understanding her excitement. "That's fantastic! It's been ages since you last spoke, right? This calls for a celebration!" she shouted, raising her glass of colourful cocktail.
As the night went on, Son seong-Yoon and Yoon-so lost themselves in the music's beat and danced carefree. They danced elegantly, swaying and grooving to the music as they lost themselves in the exhilaration of the moment.
Yoon-so went to the washroom and come again. They have lost their all senses.
The club's energy was contagious, and soon they found themselves surrounded by a group of cheerful strangers.
Son seong-Yoon was suddenly approached by a man from behind who put his hand on her waist. seong-Yoon was immediately incensed by this nosy and insulting act. She quickly turned around and smacked the man across the face to make it clear that such behaviour was unacceptable after reacting reflexively.
Son seong-Yoon grabs Yoon-so's hand and gets away from the dance floor.
In search of a little break from the intense intensity, Yoon-so excused herself from the club's throbbing environment and went to the restroom. She could feel the heat and excitement slowly ebbing away as they poured cold water on their faces, but something didn't feel right.
Then suddenly remember that she was the one who tried to flirt with the guy who misbehaved with Son seong-Yoon
Few movements ago:-
Yoon-so entered the washroom, not knowing what she was going to see, and her heart began to race. She was surprised by the image she saw: lovers kissed deeply, immersed in one another's worlds. A single figure among them caught her attention because of its amazing resemblance to Jae-Yong.
She became attracted to the stranger who had such a strong likeness to the person she had had an attraction to out of a mixture of curiosity and desire. She murmured, "Sorry!" with a note of sarcasm, trying to generate some bravery, but her anxieties were obvious.
Her heartbeat increased as she got closer, and she suddenly heard herself saying, "You are mine." Even she was taken aback by the words, which seemed to have come from her hidden love. The man regarded her with confusion, but Yoon-so grabbed his face and drew him nearer before he could react.
When their lips were almost ready to touch, she suddenly felt overwhelmed by shyness. She suddenly realised how brazen and forward-thinking her actions had been. She instantly released the stranger's face and moved back, putting some distance between them due to her own audacity.
"I-I'm sorry," Yoon-so stammered, her cheeks flushing crimson with embarrassment. "I didn't mean to... I shouldn't have done that."
Present:-
Yoon-so says everything to seong-Yoon and seong-Yoon becomes mad at her and shouted at her, "Are u Mad!".
"Do u think people here are good and kind-hearted, C'mon these people are in a drought." seong-yoon yells at her.
"C'mon, we need to go from here," Seong-yoon says and they both rush from there and they get into the parking lot.
They encounter that person who misbehaved with Seong-yoon and with anger and with embarrassment Yoon-so went near that person and says, "Hey, all I did was..., I am not in sense, so forget it."
then that person grabs her arm and forces her then suddenly Yoon-so grabs the pepper spray and sprays it in his eyes and then Yoon-so and Son Seong-yoon drives the car and go away from there.
As the conversation between Son Seong-yoon and Yoon-so became more heated, the tension within the car was evident. The environment was tense and filled with hurt and rage as a result of their intense emotions.
Son Seong-yoon yells at her, "U know that u forget everything when u drunk! Right then why did you drink tonight."
Yoon-so smirked at her and says, "u were the one who lifted the cocktail glass and made me drunk!"
"who really? ok, then why don't you end it with it u are the one who drank more than me?", Song Seong-yoon yelled.
"Ooooooooooo................., really! C'mon I am going to Korea tomorrow and I think I will never return here again!" Yoon-so yells it without thinking.
Son Seong-yoon suddenly stops the car and yells, "What?".
"Yes, maybe I think I am going to take a break, I mean .......... I", she couldn't say a word.
Son Seong-yoon's face turned red with frustration as she said, "You can't just leave like that! We've been through so much together. Don't you remember all the times we laughed, cried, and supported each other?"
Yoon-so looked away, unable to meet Son Seong-yoon's gaze. "I know, but I feel suffocated here. I need a change, a fresh start," she murmured.
"But why didn't you talk to me about it? We could have figured something out together," Son Seong-yoon pleaded.
Yoon-so said with tears in his eyes, "I didn't know how to tell you and tonight...... and I just blurted it out without thinking."
Son Seong-yoon's anger softened into concern as she realized the depth of Yoon-so's emotions. "You mean you're really leaving permanently for Korea tomorrow?" she asked, her voice trembling.
"yes, do u know the real reason why I came here?" Yoon-so questions.
"ya....., Your mother didn't want to see you with a common man like Jae-Hong." Son seong-Yoon replies and her tone is filled with sympathy.
As Yoon-so said those words, memories of her past with Jae-Hong flooded her mind. "Yes, it's been three years, but I can't forget him," she confessed, her voice carrying a mix of longing and sorrow. "And I believe he can't forget me either; otherwise, he wouldn't hate me so much now. It's a painful realization, but it also shows that there are still lingering emotions between us."
"I am thinking of that, I had already completed my studies here so I would like to be close to him and now my mother wouldn't know due to that she started her new business here so I think I have got some time to get into my past memories again," Yoon-so say it with a simple smile on her face and then Seong-Yoon hugs her and says, "I would miss u a lot."
Restaurant- Seoul- Night.
Team 15 and Team 3 were both excited to get together for the celebration at the buzzing restaurant, determined to make the evening special. As coworkers and friends gathered to celebrate their successes and strengthen their relationships, laughter filled the room.
The room echoed with happy talk, creating an electrifying environment. The passing of soju bottles and the clinking of glasses signalled the beginning of an evening of fun and fellowship. It was clear that everyone was in a good mood and looking forward to unwinding and spending time with one another.
They were singing, shouting drinking soju and speaking and speaking.
From Team 3, there were two women who seemed to be mysteriously drawn to Hwang Chan-sung, attracted by his charm and good looks. He was taken off guard by their flirtation, which was both amusing and a little frightening. They walked up to him, and one of them couldn't help but remark, "Hello sir, you are undeniably handsome, and it's evident that you possess a certain air of affluence, more so than our dear Ki-Young (HOD)," in a little mocking yet flattering manner.
They spoke without thinking as if they were under some enchanted spell that caused them to behave in ways they were unable to fully control. When Ki-Young saw the amusing situation, he couldn't help but smile eerily, amused by the playful encounter. "You!!" he chuckled, trying to find the right words to express his amusement, "Well, hmmm, anyway, I suppose I couldn't intervene. Maybe they're onto something, and their observations might not be entirely wrong."
Hwang Chan-sung, usually composed and confident, found himself blushing and feeling a bit frantic by the attention. He made an effort to remain calm, but he was unable to suppress the slight smile that began to form on his face. He was both amazed and amused by the two women's surprising admiration.
As the conversation went on, there was fun joking and laughing in the air, and Hwang Chan-sung discovered that he was enjoying the situation, even if it was a little weird. The flirting between the two women appeared to continue unabated as they appeared to be lost in their own merry world. Ki-Young watched the situation with a mixture of amusement and interest, wondering where this playful exchange may go.
And meanwhile, Chan-Sung brings up the topic of Jae-hong by saying, "Hey everyone do u know something about Jae-Hong? I will say u something, Can I Mr Jae-hong?"
"yes," Jae-hong speaks out losing of all the senses due to being over drunk.
Chan-Sung spoke out cryingly, "My brother Jae-Hond is a poor kind who has no knowledge of hitting a target with the proper aim and today he tried to throw a can into a garbage 7 feet distance but he missed it and hit me."
Jae-Hong sneers at him, "You little punk don't forget you are my junior in high school."
"Yes senior, but I am really sad that my senior is poor at aiming." Chan-sung crys.
"HeyYYYYYYYY, cant u let it go!" Jae-Hong sneers at him again.
Then suddenly Chan-sung cries out louder and says, "What if I get a temporary coma".
Ki-Young laughs lauder and speaks out, "Youuuuuuuu....., C'mon man that is not even a hammer that's tin and that's not even 20grams."
"what if I still lose my memory?" Chan-sung says with a doubting expression on his face.
"hey!!!!!!!!!!!!, I never thought that my favourite junior will be a f*cking madman when he was drunk." Jae-Yong sneers at him.
Chan-sung keeps his head down and starts crying like a crybaby and both the two women of team 3 go near him and Sooth's him.
"You are just like my sister, always cheering me up" he spokes with a smiling and a half-cry baby face.
both the women slap him and say, "Hey, you, haa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, Go to hell".
Chan-sung places his head on the table and took a nap.
everyone was laughing and laughing, all were making fun of each other.
Then everyone started playing Truth or Dare.
Ki-Young took a soju bottle and rolled it the bottle showed Bo-Ra.
everyone started thinking to ask a question, then suddenly Ki-Young with a mysterious smile showing his all teeth ask, " What is the secret that u ever told anyone."
Jae-hong laughs and laughs and says, "There is no secret that she will keep apart from her friends, so there is no secret that she ever told to anyone."
ki-yong teases her by saying, "C'mon there will be something secret, C'mon?"
Bo-Ra directly says that she is an open book to her friend and colleague so there is no secret.
"ok no problem," Ki-young says and spins the soju bottle again and this time Chan-Sung need to choose and he chooses to dare.
Ki-young Laughs lauder with a trilling smile and says, "Kiss................., Mr. Jae-hong."
"what no.............................." Jae-Hong shouts.
Chan-sung placed his arm on Jae-hong's shoulder and speaks out, "I am sorry Shi-A."
"Heyyyyyyyyy....................., I am not Shi-A." Shouts then suddenly Chan-sung moves towards jae-hongs lips and kisses him on his forehead and starts laughing at him and said, "Hey senior do u think that I kiss on lips, Hmmm I think you really have a perve mentality." And Chan-sung Naps again.
"ohhhhhhh, I thought he would really kiss you", Bo-Ra says with a mischievous smile on her face.
And Ki-Young spins the bottle again and this time Ki-young need to choose, he chose truth.
The manager asked, "Ki-young, I've noticed you always keep laughing and smiling," with a puzzled look on his face. Is there a particular thing that's giving you such joy?
Ki-young pondered briefly before expressing the source of his happiness. He eventually worked up the nerve to say, "Well, it's all because of my girlfriend," with a faint flush on his cheeks. She used to be with me, and she had this amazing talent for making me grin and laugh in any situation. And suddenly Ki-Young went to the washroom.
ki-young went to the washroom remembering the happy movements with his girlfriend and he washed his face to get normal again.
"she died in an accident and she was a Stand-up comedian," Bo-Ra speaks out with tears in her eyes.
"Do you know her," the manager of team 3 asked.
"why not, she is my senior and not only her, Ki-Young was also my senior. they two were very happy together." Bo-ra replied.
"then why didn't he move forward, forgetting the past.", one of the women of team 3 asked with a puzzled face.
"it's not easy to forget the past, maybe for women it would be easy but not for men it will take years to forget if men truly love someone," Jae-hong says with a sorrowful face and he picks up the full bottle of soju and drinks.
"Hey, senior we are in the same team we are brothers." Chan-sung gives a shout-out.
everyone laughs at them and then Ki-Young comes from the washroom and then he took the empty soju bottle and spins it.
Bo-Ra got the chance to choose truth or dare and so she choose the truth then suddenly Bo-Ra's phone rang, she grabs her phone and everyone sees that the name was fed "The little devil".
By seeing the name every one asks her the question, "who is that?"
"My cousin sister!", she replies with a spark in her eyes.
She picks up the call.....
"hey come to Severance Hospital" the person on the phone informs.
"not again!" she speaks out in a little voice as if she was murmuring to herself.
