01: It is a wonderful life

It started out as just another day, at least as much as it can with a busy workload. Turns out being a CEO of a huge company is tiring as hell, I had just finished fixing one of the important projects that one of my employees somehow fucked up. I felt a massive weight lifted from my shoulders as I shut off my computer. But it also meant a day of nothing to do.

As I was about to get up from my chair, when suddenly, black darkness came over everything as I felt myself fall... And suddenly everything went white...

I opened my eyes to a blinding light. I felt immediately blinded and instinctively wanted to move my arms to shield my eyes from the light but couldn't. My eyes finally adjusted, the room I was in is gigantic and luxurious. Almost nothing like my bland penthouse back home.

I was wrapped in a blanket of sorts, I suddenly felt water hit my face from above. A voluptuous woman with long raven black hair smiled with tears in her eyes as she looked down on me.

'I died and reincarnated didn't I...'

It was the only thought in my head as my supposed mother practically smoldered me.

Standing next to the bed is, a tall broad man with long crimson red hair and orange colored eyes. He's wearing a black vest and tie and his dress shirt is rolled up to his elbows revealing faint scars.

'So, these are my parents huh...'

My father leans down close to my face, I look straight at him and blink. 'Why is he just staring at me?'

Suddenly, he pokes my cheek with his finger. I got annoyed after a few seconds and gripped his finger. The red haired man couldn't help but smile at me and laughed.

"She has such a strong grip!" He commented to my mother. "By the time she's one I bet she'd be able to hold a sword!"

'A sword..?'

"Little Akai will grow up to be a strong young woman in the future!" My mother smiled sweetly at me.

A maid opens the door into the room and bows before my parents.

"Master Crepus and Lady Akane," The maid says. "Lady Akane's elder sister and husband are here."

My father groaned in annoyance. "Seriously..." He said.

"She's still my sister..." Mother said. "I did promise her that she'll get to meet our daughter."

"Fine." Father gave in. "But if she says anything out of line then I'm kicking her out."

A few moments later a woman with short black hair and orange eyes walked in with a tall blonde haired man who I assume to be her husband and a little girl probably about seven years old waltz in.

"Hello sister, it's nice to see you again." Mother says.

I glanced up at my aunt who looked down at me.

"It's been too long little sister." My aunt said. "Is this your son?" She says looking down at me.

"Daughter." My father corrects her. "Her name is Akai."

"Well isn't that lovely! I have a friend of mine who has a son that is a couple months older—"

My father then sternly cut her off. "Thanks but no thanks. When Akai gets older she can choose who she wants to be with."

"Of course, my apologies." My aunt says giving my father a brief glare.

'I feel like this woman is going to be a pain in my ass in future.'

Looking back now, I think I just jinxed myself.
