“WHAT!!! AGAIN!!!”
A man whimpering in front of the announcement board.
“How the hell, I failed again this time, I had answered everything correctly, I had shown what I got, I had shown my skill, and my magic, so how the hell, they rejected me again…”
People around him started to talk about him…
“Who is that man?”
“You don’t know him? He is infamous for failing for 5 years in the entrance of the Academy..”
“wHAT 5 years? Which family do he come from?”
“No one, he doesn’t have the family’s name…”
“So he is a single name person..”
The man stared back at the people who talked behind him…the people started to dodge him and walked away from him..The man took a glance at the person beside the board, where he came from the academy, and walked to him.
“You!! Why is n’t my name there?”
The person just kept quiet, while the man kept babbling…
For some minutes, the man just kept babbling about his name not on the board, but he stopped…and started to walk away from there..
He went inside to a tavern, where after he was inside, someone called his name.
“ARION!!! You came back…”
The man who failed 5 times was named Arion…Arion just answered “eeeyyy” with low tone and sad tone, he kept walking toward the counter of tavern.
“You failed again huh, Arion..”
“YES, I AM..”
“Why don’t you just give up already?”
“You don’t understand, you in here just serve everything you had, and never seek a window of the unknown.”
“What the hell is a window of the unknown?”
“That’s whyyyy you don’t understand, Baric…”
“This man…surely doesn’t understand you fully…and the kids are already waiting you…”
“Which kids?”
“Those kids!” He pointed at the table full of kids..
Arion leaned his head toward the finger Baric pointed at, and said “AH! The kids who want to seek the window of the unknown…” Arion stood up from his seat, and walked toward the kids’ table..While Baric the owner of the tavern was watching him with the kids, Arion seemed to be teaching the kids something that Baric didn’t understand..
A woman approached Baric, and said “Arion surely loves to tell a tale…”
“It’s a tale for us, Mary…but for Arion, surely it is not a tale…”
“He came here five years ago, and loved to talk something, even grown adults like us didn’t understand until now…”
“Yeah..he came here with a bumped face and a sad face, for getting rejected from that academy…but after someone asked him about something, his face changed and started to talk back and forth, especially kids, kids loved to hear his story..”
“I hope he understands that he will never be able to be enrolled in that academy…only people that have family’s name could enroll, but a person with a single name…”
“He will never understand that…look how he explains and talks to the kids…his face was changed, when he came here, his face was like 5 years ago, bumped, beaten, and sad, but after with those kids…his face is completely changed…how happy he is, telling something to the kids..”
“But for how long do you want to accommodate him?”
“As long as he gets accepted, somehow I like his tale..”
“You surely love that man..”
Mary walked away from the counter, after someone from another table seemed to want order.
Baric started talking alone “I don’t know if you are brilliant or dumb, or brilliant people, somehow dumb in the eyes of dumb people..”
“Yo Baric!!”
“YO BARIC!!”
“BARIC!!!!”
Baric realized “Uh huh, Yes!” he looked to someone who called him, and it was Arion, “Wait I thought you were in there with those kids!”
“Baric…It is done…now I want to go out, to the hill…”
“On that hill again?”
“Yeah, for some practice…”
Arion walked to the entrance door, and Barion said “You surely don’t get bumped anymore?”
Arion stopped at the entrance of the door, and said “Hmmmmmm, for now, I don’t feel like that, surely next year, I will get enrolled there..” He started to walk away from the tavern..
“What a man!!” Baric said.
On the way to the hill, Arion alway got greeted or called by pedestrians, they called him tell talers..Arriving on the hill, Arion saw a glimpse of a figure from a distance, he focused on that figure, and he knew the figure…Surely he ran fast toward the figure…
And called “OI Teacher!! Teacher!!..” He kept repeating it.
After some running, finally he arrived in front of the figure, with some exhaustion.
The figure said “Yo, boy…”
“Do..nt..call….me…boy…*sigh*I..am..21..year..old…am..I..a..boy…in your eyes..”
“Yes, you are a boy in my eyes..”
“Surely…I…can *sigh*...call…you…an..old…woman…”
Immediately she smacked his head, and said “Don’t call me like that..”
“Arghh! Why!!!”
She said “Now you said you are already 21 years old…surely I will start to teach you some practical things rather than theory things..”
“YOU MEAN!! ANCIENT MAGIC!! WHY DON’T TEACH ME BEFORE?? Or 2 year ago or 4 years ago”
“Because you’re still a really little boy, now I can teach you that…” she looked and examined Arion from tip of the toe until tip of the head.. “You surely have grown well..”
“What do you mean by that?”
“You will live with me for a year, on that hill…and…” while she was licking her lips with her tongue “You surely already grown up..”
“What are you thinking? I feel I don’t like this” Arion immediately covered himself.
“Just relax…everything will be alright…and now come here” She immediately grabbed him by his clothes… “Close your eyes, for a first timer, maybe it will be scary..” She blasted off to the sky while grabbing Arion.
Arion and the woman went to the other hill to train and practice, how the lady trained Arion was still a mystery…
A year passed by, the woman put Arion back to the hill when they met. There was no change in his physical appearance…
The woman said “I forgot, your name again boy…what is your name?”
“*sigh* huh, you surely love forgetting something, my name is Arion.”
“Arion..Arion..Arion..surely I will remember your name, after everything we have done..”
Arion suddenly turned red and blushed..
“HAHAHAHA You sure are a boy, you’re just embarrassed…”
The woman flew to the sky, and went beyond the horizon…
Arion started walking toward the city.. “Now it’s time to take another enrollment test for the academy..”

At the front of the Academy, Arion walked towards the registration, and the people started to talk about Arion..
“Look who’s back, the man who always fails..”
“How dare he take the enrollment test, when he doesn’t have a family name..”
“Maybe this will be his 6 years of failure..”
Arion just ignored everything around him.

Meanwhile, in some room in the academy..
“You surely want us to pass this person..”
“Yes…”
“But……will this break our ethical code?? If we passed this person to this Academy..”
“HUH?”
“It..will..make…the…jealousy…from…other families…especially…the aristocats families..”
“I don’t give a damn about them…just pass this person, or you will feel my wrath..”
“NO..we don’t want to feel your wrath…surely we will pass this person…”
“Great, if you cooperate like this..”
At the beginning of the enrolment test, was the written test…the test contained the theory of the basic, magic, life, or simple math…Arion looked at all the questions of the tests, and he knew it was still the same as years ago, or maybe it was still the same as 5 years ago…He finished it in a few minutes, and became the first one who finished it early…The supervisor of the room test didn’t surprise, because he was the first one who finished it early for 5 years, and now for 6 years, but the other participants saw it as mockery.
“Same questions every year, is this academy lacking information, knowledge or what?? And how the hell they rejected me for 5 years with those questions on the tests.”
At the physical test, the participants would be tested on their stamina, prowess, and agility…All the eyes of the participants went to Arion, surely he easily broke all the records from weight lifting, endurance running, fastest lap, and other things..The supervisor again didn’t surprise, because he did that in 5 years, the records suppose to be his records in 5 years, because he didn’t accept to the academy, his records were erased…
“This is a child’s play, the practice on the hill with that woman surely like he—oh crap don’t remember it!” he started to smash his head toward the wall…Everyone saw it, as mockery toward them…
At the magic test, participants were allowed to use basic spells towards the target, but there were two people who asked permission to use other than basic spells. It was a girl with long black hair, and a boy with short blonde hair…They asked to use intermediate spells to the supervisor…Arion saw it, and he joined to ask too..
“Can I use other spells than basic spells like them?” Arion asked toward the supervisor.
“You must be bluffing to say that…” the girl said to him.
“Well, if you two are allowed to use other spells, they should be allowed me to..” Arion said.
The supervisor agreed for all of the three, they could use spells other than basic spells.
One by one, name after name was being called by the supervisor, to show the spell they got..The participants seemed to draw a circle in front of them with their finger, and chanted some words, and immediately the spell appeared.
“Wuihhh! For 5 years, I am not bored watching everyone still chanting that basic spell..”
The girl was frustrated after hearing that from Arion.
Now, the girl turned to show her spell.
“Sto ónoma tou theoú tis fotiás, tha sou diatáxo ti fotiá“ A giant fireblaze came from her circle, and toward the target, burned the target, but still did not destroy the target…
The boy turned to show his spell
“Sto ónoma tis theás tou págou, tha se diatáxo ti fotiá “ Now a giant storm of ice came from his circle, toward the target, froze the target, but still didn’t destroy the target…
The girl walked toward Arion, and leaned to him “Now what you got?” The girl said to Arion…
“Me?? You can wait until my name gets called...But your spell was surely amazing…”
Somehow she blushed out, and walked away from him..
A few minutes later, Arion’s name was called, he walked toward the platform, before he showed his spell, he whispered toward the instructor.
“Can I destroy that target?”
“Surely you can try it, but to destroy it…it is a little bit amusing.”
“No, it’s not..”
Arion suddenly opened his two hands, he stretched out his two hands to both sides, and immediately a barrier appeared behind him barricaded from one side to other side, like his stretched out hands. The supervisor was surprised because he didn’t do it like this in 5 years of him taking this test.
His two hands still stretched out, and he clapped, immediately there was big explosion, that so big the walls around the target got destroyed, and the target itself destroyed, but the barrier of him was working, the people behind him was safe…
After that, he went down from the platform and back to the others. While he was walking toward the others, the girl shouted “WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?”
