"I don’t usually gravitate toward kidnapping books since I can be sensitive to non-consensual plots, but I love shifters and I love M.L. Smith’s writing, so I wanted to give this book a try. I’m SO glad I did! Without spoiling too much, the plot allows for a consensual, steamy relationship to form, but what pleasantly surprised me the most was how powerful the partnership is that evolves - with a backdrop of mystery and such inventive world building that totally drew me in! I’m the type of reader who likes to pick mysteries apart and spot subtle foreshadowing, so this was a treat for me alongside the fiery, sensual main romance and badass FMC. I especially felt the magic elements involved had a lot of fresh concepts that kept things exciting, and where misunderstandings could’ve easily happened, I absolutely loved the vulnerability and trust between characters that took it in such a sweet direction instead. Not to mention Khalder is a VERY generous lover, so there is plenty of satisfying spice to look forward to 👀 Loved it! ❤️"

"Loved this! This story was so wonderfully told, my favorite thing about this author is that any questions you may have will get answered! She will piece it all together and come round full circle for you. Steamy time will not disappoint and there is a real plot in between. Character development on both ends was fun to go thru with them and had plenty of laughable moments. Without any spoilers....there IS one person I want to know what ended up happening to them. Oh well...but this is a top of the line story. Thank you for sharing. "

Even their description is matching, but I really prefer this version of their story! The writing style, desciptions, characters are so accurate, so professionally done! I enjoyed the story immensely and really see it as a movie too"
