Judd’s Better Half?
"As if Judd Serling didn’t have enough troubles, with accepting the passing of his wife, and his sister-in-law’s clumsy attempts to steal away his only daughter, five-year-old Carmen Serling. Now, while sitting at the Shannon International Airport, he suddenly sees the splitting image of his first High School Crush. That golden hair and tight, curvy figure. Those lightning, green eyes. What is Shauna Singer doing in Ireland? The gorgeous woman approaches him. How dare he stare at her with such impropriety? She asks Judd. Was this the habit of all Yankee men? Judd quickly apologizes with the help of his best friend, Randy. Obviously this woman is not Shauna, despite her physical resemblance and the woman is soothed. But as he continues to observe her, Judd can not quell the questions that arise in his head and his heart. There is a mystery here and Judd is determined to get to the bottom of it, even if the answer may cost him his sanity and his heart. Excellent writing. Some of the best I’ve seen on Inkitt, actually. Author Brian P. White ‘shows’ us what his characters are thinking and doing instead of ‘telling’ us, so the readers are left to make up their own minds. Plus the characters are more engaging this way. Also, I detected no past/present tense issues or head hopping. I wouldn’t be surprised to find this guy’s works in a book store some day, or more likely available as a download from Amazon as book stores seem to be sadly disappearing in this country. Anyway, an excellent read. "
