Who KilledWanda Day?
"Wow what a story. So much intrigue and drama. So much suspense. Glad that things worked out in the end or did it?"
Who killed Wanda Day?
"My girlfriend and I followed this story from the beginning, and we were sure that halfway through we would know who the culprit was. BUT: We didn't. And we both suspected different perpetrators at times, something that never happens otherwise. There are many culprits and many motives, but I was convinced it was Chris. Then Paxton. Then Colin. Then back to Chris. Then Thommy.... The humor in the book is much darker than my coffee and I don't think it's for the faint of heart. It's definitely on the limit. My girlfriend - who at the beginning said she would NEVER side with a serial killer - cried in the final chapter about how unfair the world is, and that Colin still has Chris, but "he loved Wanda so much!" I hope there will be a sequel on how the story goes on and/or a sequel with the backstory of Colin and Wanda. (And my girlfriend wants me to mention that she wants to read about the other couple!) Plus points for the fact that the russian character is NOT named Ivan or Dimitri :) All together: It is a roller coaster of humor, crime, violence, love, drama, and most of all friendship."
Which killer is THE killer?…
"So far, I’m about 5 and a half chapters into this book, and it’s definitely got me hooked! There are lots of intriguing (though mostly very evil, of course) characters, and the story keeps on moving at a good pace while also giving backstories of many of the characters. I honestly have no clue who killed Wanda Day yet, but I certainly plan on reading the rest of this book in hopes of finding out!"
Fantastic
"In a book I found a tale, Fantastic, oh, it did not fail. Sensitive topic, yet okay, Not macabre, I must say. Poems with a Seuss-like feel, Cute and charming, they reveal. Hooked I am, chapter eleven, Suspect known, or so I reckon. Writing style, flawless and neat, No mistakes, it's quite a feat. All together, a story grand, A masterpiece, I understand. So if you seek a book to read, This one's sure to meet your need. (I'm a huge poetry fan and thought your book might need a review thats rhyming) "
Fantastic Book
"great! I love how the author manages to captivate me. Personally, I like the chapters much shorter, here they are very long, but the writing style flows and one sinks into the words and into the story. The plot is a little bizarre, that is true, but what makes it so bizarre is probably the fact that it's reality. The tension increases from the first chapter, you want to know what happened to Wanda and you fear the actual good one of the story - the detective! I'm waiting for updates! Gonna read your other book until then!"
Who killed Wanda Day?
"I'm still fairly new to Inkitt, this book was recommended to me by a friend. The review "Desperate Housewives meets Hostel" convinced me to take a look at the book and start reading. What can I say... There's a VERY, VERY thin line between "That's still okay" and "That was a little TOO MUCH". Elo Franklyn is a master of balance, sometimes they stand on one leg and stretch out their foot, but the line is not crossed. Even though it's a very controversial topic, the author manages that it is still appropriate, and also strangely funny. Each chapter presents a new suspect, who is then discussed again in the next chapter and the backstory is told. The motives seem a bit weak at first, but considering that they are serial killers and not "normal" people, it suddenly becomes understandable. Both protagonist and antagonist are believable and strong characters whose actions are relatable. I'm curious to see what happens next and who really killed Wanda Day. Top read!"
Hilarious and bizarre
"I am usually the quiet reader, who just likes a book and gives chapter feedback. BUT THIS BOOK DESERVES MY FIRST REVIEW SOOOOO MUCH!!!! Following the story of Colin, who is a serialkiller, and just lost his wife due to a murder, sounds quite weird in the beginning, but you get caught in the book, and want to figure out who did this to his wife. The humour is dark, the characters seem absolute real. The antagonist of this book is a Detective who wants to solve the crime, but you FEAR that he figures out too much. So everthing reverse, with a big pot of humour. Absolute worth reading! (If you are not easily offended, because... this is written from the view of serialkillers, who seem actually kinda nice...)"
Desperate Housewives meets Hostel
"This book kills me. Literally. It feels so wrong to laugh, it feels wrong to feel sad for the maincharacter who just lost his wife, and it feels wrong to wait impatiently for the next chapter. BUT, you do, you can't help it! It is different, very funny and filled with the darkest humour I've ever encountered in a book. The poem at the end is the cherry on top. Love it! Love it! Love it! "
Who killed Wanda day.
"I love this! I know serial killers are not usually funny but this story just makes me smile. It's all a bit bizarre. The little poem at the end of each chapter is a nice touch. "
