Kyle is an outgoing adventurous teenager, sometimes this isn’t too good as he can be willing to go too far, maybe even put himself and other in danger. He is an easy going and easy to look at person, might even say indie type of guy, loves his bike. Kyle may also smoke.

Jake is a shy but caring person, he is cautious but still daring at times, but it must be in some ay safe and not to dangerous otherwise he won’t do it. He normally just wearing tracksuits.

Noah is a stupid dangerous but scared teenager, he will go to an abandoned building, he would travel halfway around the world for a photo, but he would go out in the dark. Especially alone, he likes wearing jeans and a hoodie. He likes Film making.

Jackson is also a shy person but is adventurous he loves the woods but doesn’t like scary, or dangerous things. It takes a lot to get him to go out into a forest at night. Even to film.

Chapter 1

It’s a nice day to be out, suns shining, dog running around everywhere but Kyle and Jake are in the local café trying to sort out one of their films, trying to find people to act in it and trying to sort out a story line maybe even start a script. While talking at their table a boy similar to their age hears them talking and introduces himself, at first he seems very suspicious and Kyle and Jake don’t want to trust him but as he starts to talk he gives off the vibe that he might just have similar interests.

“so, I don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable of anything, but I heard you guys talking about making a short film, I’m into that kind of stuff do you guys have a spot for an extra guy? “Noah says without hesitation

“yea man I mean we can fit you in but what do you know about this stuff, we are pretty new to it ourselves, we don’t do much filming. “Kyle replies cautiously

After a little bit of chit chatter these boys start walking through the area, Kyle watching Noah trying to see what type of guy he is, see if he’s right for a role in his movie. He starts to notice that he’s quite creative, the way he thinks about his shots and how the movie is going to look like after making it.

“hey man, I think I have to head home now but how about we meet up tomorrow at the place we want to film and see how we do testing out filming andsee what ideas we can come up with in the place, it might help us to get our minds together “ Kyle says to Noah

* SCENE CUTS TO THE NEXT MORNING *

Noah wakes up and picks his phone up, it comes up with a notification from Kyle that tells him where to meet him and when.

*SCENE CUTS TO THE LOCATION *

The boys are all riding down the long road on their bikes, laughing and messing around, they look to be getting along naturally.

* MUSIC KICKS IN A TITLE SCENE INITIATES *

The three boys are now sitting on a log talking about the film, Jake bring up the ideas of maybe having a girl standing in the background, like a ghost watching over the boy in the film, Kyle and Noah agree that it’s a good idea, they start leading off that idea getting in to talk about other things that could be in the movie.

Noah stands up

“guys I’m going to the toilet I’ll be back in a second “

The two boys give a nod of acknowledgment

As Noah is releaving he sees something move in the distance of the woods, he starts to walk towards the area he thought something came from, as he walks closer a branch snaps but at the exact same time Kyle shouts him which confuses Noah to whether he heard the sound or his mind was playing tricks with him.

The boys sit at the log for a little while longer until they all finally part ways and go back home, after grabbing food.

While Noah is walking, he starts getting headaches which he passes off from just being up to late and being tired.

* SCENE CUTS TO NOAHS BEDROOM AT NIGHT *

Noah seems to be in distress, can’t sleep well and getting frights in his sleep, suddenly he is awoken by something, he goes to look at the sound which woke him that came from outside, as he steps closer to the window he realises a small girl standing by a tree. He quickly dismisses it and goes back towards his bed, but before entering his bed he takes one last look to see if she is there, she has gone so he thinks he is making It up in his own head.

The next two days for Noah are stressful, he keeps getting headaches, things are getting worse though, he keeps seeing this girl and even worse he keeps getting creepy emails, with videos attached that look horrible, in each video contains one letter of a URL, he does not know this yet though. After about a week of getting these videos and seeing the girl he starts asking Kyle and Jake if they have seen her or gotten headaches during this week, they both disagree but Kyle doesn’t look trustable, he looks as if he is hiding something.

After the boys start to walk around, Noah brings Kyle back a bit behind Jake.

“hey so are you sure you haven’t seen anything? “Noah asks Kyle

“yes, apart from the girl, I keep seeing her when I’m walking through the forest behind the trees, is it someone messing with us or are the story’s true? “Kyle replies

“what story’s I’ve never heard about this! “Noah shouts

“ well there was meant to be a family that lived in the woods, hippies that would camp out nearly every day, it was only a mother and daughter until the mum met someone, apparently the father used to beat the daughter until one night he killed her, apparently she is still here, and takes her anger out on anyone who comes close to where she used to live, protecting her mother maybe. “Kyle replies with hesitation

The 2 boys look at each other with a scared look, Camera cuts back to wide view, as the boys go to talk to Jake, they realise he isn’t there.

“JAKE “the 2 of the boy’s shout, they run around the small area surrounding them, searching for Jake, shouting his name repeatedly. As they turn around one of the trees hey see him taking a piss.

“Jesus could have told us scared the shit out of us” Kyle said out of breath.

The three boys start to laugh.

* SCENE CUTS TO BOYS FILMING *

“okay cut now we need Jake to come in a run from whatever is chasing him “Kyle shouts

“Jake, can you do that “Noah laughs

“shut up “Jake replies laughing back at him

The boys continue this filming when, they see a boy approaching from the distance, a tall skinny looking boy, as he gets close Kyle start to notice who it is, “JACKSON “Kyle shouts as he gets up and starts to walk towards him.

“what’s up man long time no see “Jackson replies to Kyle

“so, who is this? “Noah asks Kyle, with doubt he will get an answer since he is still talking with Jackson

“he’s Kyles friend from school, they’re basically in a relationship “Jake stutters under a laugh

Kyle and Jackson finish speaking and sit down with Jake and Noah, Kyle starts speaking to the boys “ so this is Jackson, he’s going to play our scary girl like a demon, he’s going to dress up and follow us in the movie, so we are going to have to help him look good when he needs to be in the shot, you okay with that boys? ““Yea sure man. “Jack and Noah reply.

As the boys continue to film, they introduce Jackson into the shot, he is excited to get in, to film, so he jumps up and gets into character talking about how he is going to scare them. As they start to film and it is Jacksons part to come into scene, He gets into position, as they go to film they notice Jackson isn’t there, but he is far into the forest, the boys shout to him, they all look at each other and laugh “ what is he doing “ Noah asks Kyle, as they turn back to look and Jackson he is back in the position he was at first, he stutters “ are we filming? “, The boys look confused but reply “yea man sorry “.

The boys continue to film, as the day get on and the sky gets darker you start to realise that the forest is quite dead and scary at night. The boys start to pack up, but as they go to head off they hear a scream come from inside the trees, its pitch black in there but Kyle goes in anyway, “ Kyle what the fuck are you doing “ Noah whispers under his breathe, he starts following Kyle into the forest with Jackson and Jake behind him, as they get deeper into the forest they stop hearing the girl, they come to a clearing, there is a tarp, in the middle of the clearing, the boys start to walk towards it but as they notice the shape under the tarp they turn and run, as they run the hear the screams turn into laughter from a women.

* SCENE CUTS TO THE BOYS OUT OF BREATH FALLING OUT OF THE EDG EOF THE FORREST ONTO THE ROAD *

“what the fuck “Noah says

“that wasn’t right that was fucked up, was that a dead body? “Jake stutters

“idk “they all reply

* SCENE CUTS TO NOAH AT HIS DESK IN HIS BEDROOM *

Noah has just received an email and has received another video, as normal he opens it expecting another random video, but this time, its them , someone was recording them from inside the bushes, he quickly texts the other 3 boys to come over, they all look at the video together, Jake start to freak out “ what the fuck man that’s fucked “ he whispers while holding his head in fear, “ you know someone was recording us, so I say we go back tomorrow and find out who the fuck it was because whoever is fucking with us is probably some sick fuck “ Noah proposes to Kyle, Kyle nods in agreement.

* CUTS TO NEXT MORNING *

Noah is packing his bag, he checks his phone to see if he has any messages from any of the other boys maybe cancelling their attendance to this raid, they boys meet up at the same place they do all the time, the long road heading into the forest, as the boys meet up they all look different, sort of scared, they look at each other for reassurance. As they come up to the point in the forest where they were filming they enter, where they saw the clearing, as they go deeper into the forest closer to the opening they see a tent, they swiftly turn and run towards the tent, grabbing their weapons out, ( being baseball bats ) Kyle hits the tent once before the other boys look at him, the boys shout “ whoever the fuck is in here come out “ the boys open the tent zip, and to their surprise there is nothing in there except for a symbol written onto a piece of paper, the boys take the symbol and walk back to the clearing,

“right let’s take this and go back to my house and see what the fuck this is “Noah tells everyone to which everyone nods in agreement, apart from Jake who replies “are you sure that what we should do? “

* SCENE CUTS BACK TO NOAH’S FRONT ROOM *

As the boy’s dive through the group of papers that have symbols on it, they seem to create a big picture/ symbol. Just as they start to make out the bigger symbol, Noah gets an email from the suspicious account. As the video plays, they start to hear a little girl, she sounds like she is laughing. The boys quickly start to wonder what the hell that video was, Noah now must explain what the videos are and how many he’s got in the past, this is awkward for Noah and makes Jake think Noah has something to do with it.

The boys start getting angry with each other and start to turn on Noah, that night they all go on a bike ride to the forest, they all kick off at Noah and tell him to go into the forest and show them where he was telling people to record them from, Noah doesn’t have any part in this which just makes the situation harder for him. As the boys wander through the woods shouting at Noah, they start hearing the screaming.

“tell your stupid friends we aren’t scared anymore “Kyle shouts to Noah

“they aren’t my fucking friends “Noah replies

As they get deeper and deeper into the woods, they start to get lost, the screaming gets louder until suddenly they come across a house, they all look at each other in a confused manor , they look back at the house and they hear a little girl laughing from inside. As they walk towards the house a girl screams and everything goes silent, Kyle then turns to Noah to talk to him about it, but Noah isn’t there he is gone, they boys frantically look around for Noah shouting his name, but they get no answer. The boys start to panic, suddenly out of nowhere 3 people in black cult like clothes attack the boys.

End of chapter 1

Chapter 2

After what we found in the woods we did not want to go back out for weeks, he was inside of us, he .. he became us. The fact that we could see his thoughts made it worse, we were able to see where he was and when. You would think this would be helpful but not unless he was trying to kill us which no he couldn’t since if he touched us he would be harming himself which by the looks of things he doesn’t want to do. If we had just listened to ( NAME OF CHARACTER ) we wouldn’t be in this situation, I mean he knew the woods he knew his way around. Maybe he was part of it before it happened. Maybe he knew about him and lured us into the woods as a sacrifice. But then again he did get it the worst. He cannot even see anymore.

The boys within the next few weeks try avoid the thought of the man in the woods but they cannot, he urges them to go back into the woods which the boys do not want to do, they try their hardest to avoid it but at the end of the day they don’t have a choice they cannot control all their thoughts or most of their actions.

As they are sitting on the train, staring out of the window they see something. Not making it known to each other they shrug it off and keep it to themselves, this will later on turn out to be a mistake. The vaste countryside couldn’t hide him, closing their eyes couldn’t hide them; it seemed that they were doomed. (CHARACTERS NAME) has not been hiding as much as the rest, like a small warrior he had been preparing himself for war, making sure to sharpen his tools, mind and courage. He had made a map of the woods, been back at night without help from others, this had obviously come with side effects such as seeing the small girl and hearing voices in his head almost all throughout the day but it was worth it to him for he was not preparing for battles but for the war to come.

This was unknown to the other boys, they were going on with their day to day lives trying to forget about what they had seen and almost treat it as if it was a disease. Now that I look back at it I too think that we should have faced it head to head trying to overcome the sensation that overwhelmed us into hiding. As a collective group we should have been stronger, we should have had each other’s backs. I admit that i isolated myself not only from my friends but from myself, i would queer in my own head as if it was the fortress designed to only hold me. The only weapon in the world that could blow itself up faster than its opponent. I was afraid, to this day I am still deciding whether I was afraid for myself or the people around me. I saw myself as a bomb, just waiting to explode, waiting to hurt the people around me i could feel him trying to escape, trying to take over. It took all my strength over the years trying to keep him under my reign.

As I stand in the deserted graveyard I try to take deep breaths. Trying to set my soul free before I depart this world, I know now that I cannot escape him, I know that to beat him i must become him and beat him with the rules that he has created. I am not going to tell any of the other boys, I must walk this road alone. I started this so i must finish it.

With summer break coming soon we must go back to the forest where it happened. We need to find out why, when and how he did it, how he became a being inside of us, how he still lives in us to this day. Does he feed off our fear, does he feed off of us? Does he drain our power from our soul to feed his own?

He started with the weak, he went up the food chain finally getting to the leader of our group, his tactics were unethical but they worked. He broke us down one by one. We started to work against each other, like we mentioned before we should have had each other’s backs but instead we collapsed like the roman empire. If we are going to go back to these woods we need to plan it out, we need to have a way out this time and i do not just mean a way out of the forest, i mean a way out of the situation we need to learn our enemy and their tactics fully before we try to win another war.

Today, (CHARACTER NAME) had a fight at school, but this was different , he could.. He used some sort of power. I don’t know how but he threw the kid across the entire yard. I think maybe that this is not just a curse but also a bit of luck, i think with the work we have been putting in to this these past few months i think we can learn to harness his power, learn to get control of our lives again but while also using the power he has gained from us against him and others in this world.

DAY 1 OF GOING BACK TO THE FOREST

The trees towering over us, chanting, Like a crowd waiting for an execution. But whose? As we scoured the area trying to look for the place this began I started to feel light headed, I sat down for a minute or what I thought was a minute. Turns out I had sat down for 4 and a half hours, the others had left me and I was totally alone in the woods. I heard 3 loud church bells, I followed them, they led me to a large gate. Was it the gate to hell ? or was it just a gate to his home? By this point I had lost all fear. I was powering ahead purely out of anger. I wanted to find out what he was and find a way to destroy him, to ruin him like he did our lives. Does that make me the monster ?
