Brilliantly creepy but needs refining

"Missed Call is an impressive short horror story. It drives forward at a good pace, building the tension as we move forward toward the shocking conclusion. The plot draws upon a classic "home alone, creepy call" setting but adds to that with an original story - fabulously twisted. The author has aimed to produce a well-rounded shocker in a short story and has delivered. From a horror point of view, top marks. Unfortunately, the story is let down on its technical prowess. I suspect the story was published a tad early. There are numerous errors with the grammar, sentence structure and punctuation throughout which was difficult to ignore. I was also a little confused by the timing; quite a lot happens within 20 minutes, 9:20 seems to be especially busy. It is so infuriating as this story has the potential to be a classic, drawing upon elementary shocker mechanisms and delivered in a crisp pace to capture and ensnare the reader only to be let down by grammatical errors. It really needs an additional proof read. Saying that, from an indie author this really is a very good attempt. Just need to hone that writing skill."
