If you asked Elio what he would change about the past, he would tell you as clear as day “meeting Nina Anderson ruined my life.” He wouldn’t hesitate for a second because it had ruined his life, sure he was happy and with the love of his life but Nina Anderson ruined his teenage life. Caused him to grow up way faster than any 16 year old boy should have to. He should be thankful for her, he is able to be himself thanks to her. However the bad outweighed the good, he lost nearly everything and sent them into a war. Of course she ruined a lot of lives, but none are important to this story. Not like the five lives she ruined forever, you see people move on, they grow up, live their best lives. However for these five teens, it was like life ended before it truly began, they learned very quickly just how terrible the world can be and how it takes one person to ruin everyone’s life. How did she do it? How did she alone ruin so many lives, you might ask if she had help. Well she did of course she did, but her actions were far worse than any of the help she had gotten. Her actions caused the deaths of many, old and young. She might not have killed them all directly but she was the reason they died. All the blood shed that day was and always will be on her hands. What did she do? The better question to ask is what didn’t she do. She didn’t keep the secret she promised to keep, funny how one little secret ruins everything. Of course she did far worse than “spill the beans” but if you are asking what she did not do. That was it, that was the big bang, that happened to be the beginning of the end. What was the big secret? What did it have to do with those 5 teens? How exactly did this one secret start not only a war, but the end of everything that anyone ever knew?
