Summary

I ran away from him, really fast knowing well he'll still get to me. 'Nathan wait!' he kept on chasing me. I took the next turn and met a dead end. I silently cursed, hoping he's not behind me. But guess what? I was wrong. 'Nathan.' he said quietly came out nearly as a whisper. 'Stay away from me Jake.' I stretched my arm hoping it'll put some distance between us. 'Why did you run?' He slowly moved towards me and I moved back slowly until my back touched the hard, cold wall. 'Don't come any clos - ' He ignores me. ' Nathan I'll ask one more time, why?' he whispered in my ear, causing me to shiver and tremble at his deep voice. I looked away from him avoiding his eyes, cause looking into them was too dangerous and I fear I won't be able to resist him anymore than I've not so much tried. He grabbed my jaw and turned my face to look at him a little too fast to process and then I looked. God, please help when I looked into his eyes When I looked in his amber glassed eyes. . . . . Prologue

It always started as a dream with some guy standing in the center of a garden looking out into the sky, I couldn’t make out his features, but I could tell he was tall maybe a little over 6 feet, he was muscular and he had silver hair?

Sometimes I see silver long hair black short hair but somehow, I could tell it was still regardless of his hair color or length of hair. But what intrigues me is how he looks. He’s always facing away from me, but I never dared to step forward either, and each time I finally get to take a step to see him, my dream changes to another of my memory but rather the death of my parents.

I remember it was my 5th birthday, and we planned on going to Bellie’s house to celebrate because we switched where to celebrate depending on whose birthday it was. If it was hers, we would celebrate at my house but if it’s her place and this year wasn’t any different.

‘Oof. Happy birthday little man.’ I jumped on my father’s back as he caught me and twirled me around causing me to giggle.

‘Daaad I’m not a little man. I’m a big man’ I whined remembering how much I hated being called little.

‘Where’s the birthday boy?’ Mom came with a patch of my favorite cookies, chocolate chip cookies. Then she dropped the tray and packed everything up as Dad was telling me stories about griffins and stuff.

‘Ok, then boys. Let’s get going we don’t want to be late on your birthday now?’ She picked me up and adjusted my clothes and ruffled my hair.

‘Now, now Agatha. Today is his day, I’m sure he can be 15 minutes late.’ He said pulling my mum by the waist and kissing her.

‘Ewwwwww no lips, dad.’ I complained, hitting my dad’s face hoping to put some distance between them. Not that I minded them being romantic, but sometimes they forget I’m here and go all out and as a 5-year-old, I don’t think that’s what you want to witness.

So, we got into the car and mom reminded me to put on my seat belt. Dad played his favorite playlist and we sang along together, how a five-year-old knows how to sing the lyrics of ‘Give me everything’ courtesy of my dad playing it almost every day that it kind of just stuck and it became one of Steven’s family playlists it even a tradition to I listen to it on my birthday to acknowledge them.

As we were singing at the top of our voices when everything went tragic.

‘Kayden watch out!!!!!!’ Then the car was tumbling and crashed landing upside down. I couldn’t tell after was dizzy and I was covered in blood calling out to my parents as I tried to get them who were passed out on the floor covered in blood, I was getting weaker and more sluggish as I desperately tried to get to them ignoring the throbbing pain all over my body, especially my head but before I could reach them as I couldn’t fight the heaviness in my eyes and then I passed out.
