heartless woman

Sitting in a court room and It’s so quiet you can hear a pin drop as people are waiting to hear Jessica’s answer, “I plea not guilty you’re honor” the crowd started to murmur “but I don’t have any proof to prove my innocence either and I know with Mr Justice’s power and money it wouldn’t matter if I did he made sure the surveillance footage was destroyed.”

She sat down scribbled her name on some papers closed the file then looked back up at the judge “may I go? I already know my sentence" it took the judge a while to react because he’s never seen anything like this, he nods his head “bailiff you may take her back" the bailiff nods his head and walked over to Jessica helped her up and lead her out of the door while her hands and feet are cuffed.

The trial continued but someone sitting on the defendant’s side heart is pounding hard against his chest “what does she mean I erased the footage? The camera’s wasn’t working at that time” he thought to himself, after the trial is over Jessica's lawyer walked over to the defendant’s table and threw a file down in front of Silas “I hope you’re happy now Mr Justice” then he walked off.

Silas frowned as he looks at the file he opens it and the lettering caught his attention “DIVORCE AGREEMENT" his breath hitched as he continued reading them, he closed the file and his eyes darkened “good for you jess you think you can make it out there on you’re own?” He snarled internally. She asked for nothing in the divorce she just wanted to cut ties with him and doesn’t want anything to do with him.

Laying in her cell on her cot Jessica closes her eyes as the heartache ripples through her body.

(FLASH BACK)

2 weeks ago Jessica is sitting in her living room waiting for her husband Silas to come home from work and at that time her half sister Carla also came down the stairs and smiled smugly at her but once she heard the door being unlocked she rushed over to Jessica and tried to take the pregnancy test out of her hand and they tugged it back and forth, when Silas walked through the door Carla let go of the test screamed and fell on her butt then all of a sudden a lot of blood started coming out from underneath Carla’s clothes and she winced in pain.

“Jess why did you have to murder mine and Silas baby? I only wanted to share my good news with you” hearing that Silas froze “baby? Carla is pregnant with my baby?” His blood began to boil he ran over and picked Carla up “jess not only are you a cheater you’re a murder how could you turn into such a person?” he stared at her with murder in his eyes, snapping out of shock she shakes her head “I didn’t she’s the the one that let go and fell and it’s my pregnancy test not hers” ENOUGH!!! he yelled out “guards lock her up” he shouted while packing Carla out of the villa while Carla looked back at her and smiled at her smugly, “this was a set up like all the other times” she thought to herself.

(End of flash back)

Instead of going back home after the trial is over Silas went back to his company to work he had wanted to kick Carla out of his house after he sent Jessica away to prison but he put Carla in between his and Jessica’s mess and ended up being the victim and their innocent baby.

Walking into his villa he cringed when he heard Carla’s screeching voice call his name “Silas you’re finally home” she said getting ready to hug him but he dodged her, feeling defeated and scorned she managed to put on her innocent face “how was jess? Did she seem to be holding up?” she asked in a worried tone “even though she killed our baby she’s still my sister and I’m worried about her.” she acted like she cared and is concerned for her sister, “don’t worry about her anymore and you should be in bed resting” he said in a flat tone “I’m off to bed now good night” he said while walking up the stairs.

Carla went outside looked around to see if anyone is around and when the coast is clear she tapped a number then waited for someone to pick up, “mom you’re such a genius” Carla said when she heard her mother’s voice “haha I told you that would work, Silas wanted a child and jess hasn’t gotten pregnant yet so he wouldn’t believe it when she did tell him that the test is hers.” Carla frowned “but mom she is pregnant now what if he finds out?” Her mom laughs “don’t worry baby I got rid of her mom without having to lift a finger so a fetus is nothing for me” Carla grins “alright mom I’ll leave it to you then,” Winona laughs “you wanted Silas and wanted Jessica out of the way now that Jessica is out of the way it’s up to you to win Silas I can’t help you with this” Carla nods her head with determination “I got it mom.”

Carla had noticed a change in Jessica and that she is throwing up a lot so she called her mom and told her what Jessica is doing and her mom told her that it sounds like Jessica might be pregnant, the mother and daughter began to panic because if Silas finds out that Jessica is pregnant Carla wouldn’t have a chance to be with Silas. They put their heads together and came up with that plan, Carla secretly watched Jessica and one day a maid took a pregnancy test out of a bag and handed it to Jessica she knew Jessica would tell Silas that day when he came home so when she seen her waiting in the living room she put her plan into action “and now she’s in prison” Carla grinned from ear to ear.

Laying in his bed Silas seems to have a heavy heart as he remembers Jessica being led into the courtroom he couldn’t see her face because she kept her head hung low and her hair hanging down the side of her face, she never lifted her head up but once and that was to talk with the judge. From where he was sitting he couldn’t see her and she never turned her head to look at him once, “heartless woman” he sneered as he slammed his fist into the bed.
