Story Notes

Summary

Macey was the only girl in the family. She was the last child born to Peter and Roseanne after three boys. Her mum was elated to finally have a little girl to spoil. Until she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer when Macey was 7 years old. Macey's mum fought hard but cancer won devastating the entire family. Macey had three big brothers, Asher who was 10 when Macey was born, Tyler who was 7 when she was born and Diesel who was 4. They used to play with her when her mum was around. They fought like any siblings did but mum always scolded the boys as Macey was a baby. That all changed when her mum died. Her father never wanted Macey and made it known once his wife was gone. His sons soon followed suit blaming Macey for things that were not her fault. Finally, when Macey was 16 she had had enough and left. She would have left earlier but it wasn't legal. She hates her father and her brothers for how they treated her and she made sure to tell them exactly that when she left. Five years later she is studying at uni to become a social worker when she gets a call from her eldest brother informing her that her father is on his deathbed and wants her to return. Macey couldn't care less about her father dying and had no intention of fulfilling his dying wish to see his daughter one last time, especially after all the hell they put her through.
