Broken family and adulthood is always a good combo
"I really liked the story, this was my 1st short story. I enjoyed it, especially the dialogue and scenes. I really loved how the author discussed the childhood trauma and brother-sister relationship. The plot surrounding Dave is very justified and also shows us the reality of some households. The writing is also good, it's easy to notice progress in writing style from 1st chapter to the last, with minor or no mistakes later. The story has a relatable plot; we all have gone through something similar or know someone who has; the intensity differs, of course. This short story and its contemporary style plot make it worth reading. "
Secret Family Drama
"The story starts like a typical young adult who enjoys being by herself and focus on her work; But it turned to be a little bit more complicated than that. Jessica is a character that I can totally relate to and I was shocked to find that we have the same mindset in certain situations. The dialogue in the story is really strong and I catch myself immersed in the conversation. Every story has family issues but for some reason this made me want to know more and will be definitely keeping up. The story has some punctuation error and some awkward sentences but that’s nothing new with a lot stories even mine. But overall the story has an amazing plot and cant wait to find out what happens next! "
A sad but good story
"I can understand Jewel and her emotions. It's not easy to forget someone and then just one day accept him back. Her brother should have thought about his family and his sister. He can't just pop up and expect something. Overall like the writing which is easy to read. "
Forgotten, yet forever remembered
"The entire story had a light feeling which kept me smiling and at times laughing. And I really liked how you used that cute nickname, Jewel. Apart from a few grammatical issues, this is a beautiful story. And this is your first, I must say you have done a great job here. Also, don't stop writing because the more you write the better your writing will come out in the future. "
