The Perfect Gift

It was Christmas time in the small town of Volkovia. Soren wanted to get his girlfriend the perfect gift. He wandered all around to the different shops; Soren looked at perfume, lotion, clothes. Nothing Kiara would want...

He glances into a shop, it was an all-year round Halloween store. He shrugs and walks in. Inside there were fake knives, clown masks, and more. The store clerk looked up at him and smiled.

"Hello"

Soren jumps slightly, he didn't him there.

"Hi.."

"What can i help you with today?"

He thinks for a second.

"I need the perfect gift for my girlfriend."

The clerk ponders for a moment.

"Hmm....tell me about her"

"Why?"

"Not only are we a Halloween store, we also do...custom gifts. Maybe....maybe i could help?"

Soren takes his words in. If what the clerk was saying is true; he could have the perfect gift for Kiara.

"Alright..uh well she has amazing humor, she loves fantasy movies and books, she likes anime...uh......she also likes cats..."

The store clerk nods. "She sounds like a wonderful girl, what do you have in mind for a gift?"

"I...don't know....something that would make her...happy? Thrilled?"

He nods again, Soren starts to get uncomfortable in the silence.

"So....do you guys have a different store for your custom gifts-"

"I HAVE THE PERFECT GIFT IDEA!" the clerk interrupted Soren.

Soren jumps at the loud voice.

"uh..."

"Follow me to the back please, sir"

The clerk stands up and makes his way to the back of the store where there's a store labeled 'Employees Only'. Soren is hesitant to follow, but does so anyway...he really needs this gift. Christmas is in two days.

He walks in and the door closes behind him. The clerk stands near a box, it looked like an oversized Christmas gift.

"You're gonna be the gift!"

"huh?"

"Yeah, we'll dress you up, you'll get into this box, then we'll 'deliver' this package and then you'll pop out and surprise her."

Soren pauses for a second...maybe..?

"Here, lets see if... you fit..." the clerk insisted.

He nods, walking to the box, as he steps in and crouches, he notices other boxes piled in a corner, the same size as his, with....dark...red....liquid dripping...out of them.

Just then Soren feels a knife enter his back.

"AH-"

The clerk overs his mouth.

"Sh....just relax...."

He removes the knife then stabs Soren again, this continues until Soren is stabbed over 30 times. The clerk drops Soren's lifeless body into the box, putting it on the pile of boxes.

----------------------------Christmas Day--------------------------------

Kiara paces around her house. Wheres Soren? He's been missing for 2 days....why on Christmas? Theres a knock on her door. She opens the door, it was an oversized Christmas gift.

She pauses then smiles and laughs, of course Soren would do something like this...surprise her with him being the gift.

"I WondEr WHatS In ThiS GifT~....." She teases the box, expecting Soren to jump out.

She then notices the lever on the side of the box, it looked like one on a Jack in The Box. She laughs again and starts turning it.

Again she expected him to jump out at her.

She screams in a horrifed tone. Her boyfriend didn't jump out...he was pushed out by a spring he was connected to, his body looked so broken and punished, he was covered in blood....some bones sticking out.

Kiara jumps back and falls on the floor. She was hysterically crying and shaking. Thats when she noticed the note on the box, she reads it.

'I got you the perfect gift!
