Prologue

A young girl, barely even sixteen years old, stood around a pile of bodies on a battlefield. The girl's glimmering mystical enchanted armour was painted with blood, just like her beautiful long golden hair, which stuck to her armour from a large amount of blood. She had a beautiful glowing face, which was complemented by a choker around her neck. The collar seemed to be a tight fit as it caused slight redness and rashes around it. Painted by the essence of her fallen comrades and her enemies, she was utterly composed and coldly glaring at the corpses around her while gripping her blade despite her young age.

She seemed as if she were swimming in blood, but it was due to her skills. She was not only the last survivor in the army but also the most skilled soldier. Her level of skills far surpasses that of any reason in her age. Her tiny figure and her piercing, grown eyes were one of her unique aspects.

Despite her composed demeanour, she was using her blade to support her as she was not only exhausted but also seriously injured. It was not a far stretch to say that she alone defeated at least half of the enemy forces and even their leader.

The battlefield took place in and around a massive, now battered, damaged castle. Most of the bloodshed happened outside in the vast flourishing garden of the castle; however, the once beautiful garden was now tainted by blood.

The girl had finished the battle in the throneroom. Since it was an extremely deceitful task, the man inside the room was all killed by her. Even in a wounded and exhausted state, the woman held enough strength to cut grown man and their armour cleanly into two.

But these men posed no real threat to the decisive and well-trained woman; the one with whom she had the most problems was the lord of the castle. The man who, even in death, stayed upright. Even in the end, he refused to submit, for before she finally succumbed to his wounds, he sat down on the throne while holding his blade in his grip fiercely.

The corpse had a well-made but now battered armour; a once glooming energy emitted by the man had now dissipated. However, even after crossing Hell's Gate, the man was still staring at a massive hole in the room through which the woman had entered. One would be able to deduct from the way he managed to sit down that the moment an enemy were to jump in, even if he were now dead, he would still jump up and fight.

"Spawner eradicated! It was a fine battle, Lord Voltier! Now rest for eternity along with your beloved domain and people, never to be separated again."

With her emotionless expression, even in pain, even in exhaustion, even now that she had won, the girl did not cry, did not smile; she did not show any sort of emotion. She just glared at the corpse before her with her cold, piercing golden eyes.

Even consumed by the never-ending darkness, the corpse showed more emotion than the girl before him. Even though he would never once again open his eyes, his now motionless, frozen face showed more than the girl had shown during the entire battle.

"A battle has ended, but the war is still ongoing. If the Gods do not send help soon, this ever-increasing threat will tear our world apart!"

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
