Chapter 1: Changes

It was a bright and early morning in the Wilson residence as Marsha and Jamie slowly began another day at work. After making breakfast, Jamie walked into his wife's office, sat her plate down, and kissed her cheek. It had been 2 yrs now since they had gotten married and much had changed between the two. After Jamie kissed her, she blushed hard and said t-thank you". Jamie smiled and said"Wow my kisses still do that to you? and she blushes and says y-yeah...even after 2 years this feels like a dream...you've been amazing". He chuckled before turning her chair to face him and pulling her into a passionate kiss. After pulling away he smiled and said "wow, it almost seems like you aren't a snobby rich girl anymore".Marsha pushed him and said, "oh fuck off you jerk".

He fell on his butt before giggling and said"Yup there's the fire in your eyes...for a minute I thought you went completely soft. She sighed and said"I'm sorry, I just try so hard to bury that part of me...I want to become a new person with you". Jamie laughed before saying"I don't mind your wish to improve, but that sharp-tongued part of you is something that I love...believe it or not it's a wonderful part of your courageous side, you just needed to learn when and when not to use it you know?". Marsha smiled before leaping from her chair and tackling her husband and lightly brushing his face with her fists as if she were hitting him which caused Jamie to giggle.

She said, "Had enough or do you still wanna see an even fiercer side of your wife". He smiled and said, "I'd love to but your breakfast is gonna get cold and you're gonna be late for the vroom meeting". She opened her eyes wide before setting up and saying oh my gosh I totally forgot.. thanks for the breakfast". Jamie stood up, kissed her, and said "I love you" before exiting the room. He walked downstairs, ate his plate before heading upstairs to find something to do. In truth, he worked so much that he didn't know what to do when his boss told him he was being given a 1 month's paid vacation in appreciation for the stores in his region being so tip-top and productive.

Jamie walked into his office and sat down at his desk and prepared to load "party nite" but before he could, 2 messages from his friends popped up asking to hang which he agreed. He headed outside to the garage where his beloved Bodge muscle car awaited, got in, opened the garage, and pulled out as it began to close back. He drove to meet his friends at the basketball court to play a few games which ended in a draw. After the game, they sat down and ate awkwardly until Ferguson broke the silence. He grinned at Jamie and said," For a rich guy you still got it". Jamie sighed and said, "Y'know her parents didn't give us much of nothing right? They just paid for the house...but even so, I haven't been right with you guys and I know that".

Ferguson laughed and said, "Dude you're married now of course you can't hang out all the time plus your job...we both understand". Mike chimed in and said, "Plus you get us sweet discounts on new stuff and almost every week you game with us, like bro you're good". Ferguson grinned and said, "We're here to tease you about Marsha... it's still funny how you said hard pass now you're hard over her". Jamie blushed and said "I-I don't get hard over her" and Mike and Ferguson looked at each other before cracking up laughing. Jamie realized what he said and he quickly said "I-Its, not your business how intimate we are". Mike said, "Yep...he's definitely got laid by her once or twice but he's still getting used to it". Ferguson chuckled and said, "Or maybe he's the one that can't keep up...poor guy probably got put to sleep by her". Jamie blushed and yelled, "Enough about my sex life!".

Ferguson patted Jamie's back and said "Dude we're not judging...at least you found a girl to do that type of stuff with, let alone, marry". Jamie looked at Ferguson and said "bullshit bro...I saw that post of you and Cynthia last week Ferguson and I saw you and Trish kissing at the beach Mike". Ferguson looked at Mike and said "Dude you pulled Trish? and Mike said "Yes...she puts on a front but once you get to know her she's really nice and caring". Ferguson looked at Jamie and said "Now that we've established that us not meeting is all of our faults but still I gotta ask, are you at least treating your wife better than us? y'know random surprises and gifts etc.?"

Jamie gulped and said, "Does office supplies and filing paperwork count as a date?". Ferguson said "No" and Jamie said, "Well then, me and Marsha haven't gone on any dates since Christmas of last year". Ferguson looked at him and said "You guys are hopeless...I know she's a workaholic because of her family but dude seriously you need to take the initiative and spice things up...women get tired and even though she doesn't say it, deep down she's waiting for a change and excitement".

Jamie looked down and said "I'm not good with women you know that" and Ferguson looked at him and said, "No one is but obviously you were good enough to capture her heart and you're married now so you gotta learn as you go dummy...anything you try, she'll appreciate...women love effort". Ferguson smiled and sent Jamie a brochure of this beautiful-looking resort and said "I'm sure it's not as good as Paris but it'll be enough to show her you care, now take your ass home and start planning a vacation for you and your wife and even if you don't want to go yet, try spicing it up".
