Present Day..

Lasers and implosions everywhere, I found myself zooming and shooting in what seemed like a battlefield for astral territory. Not in a moments notice, there he was fleeing from an agile Moth ship. “Lyria, It’s right behind you!” Theodore screams in panic. As soon as I reply, his ship is set ablaze in front of me. That was when I realized that we had chewed more than we could handle.

On that thought, I spot one of the Moths behind my ship, horrifically beaming mine down with inhuman precision and accuracy. This was the end, I thought. As a last effort, I decided to zoom at super-speed into an asteroid belt trying to lure it into doing so too. Like moth to flame, it followed me.

It seemed like a dangerous game of cat and mouse, sadly, me being the mouse. Twists and turns, it wouldn’t budge, then out of strategy, I hyper-sped towards what seemed like a large debris of ice. The intention was to beat it at a zoom climb and possibly have it crash. This was a problem because at this speed, a few meters difference would result in the kinetic energy from ship’s velocity not having enough time to convert to potential energy but close enough to have the Moth’s not-as-agile-as-my-ship’s ship crash or I would simply pass out from the G’s that come with the instant climb. It followed as if hypnotized. Nearing at inescapable speeds, I was out of options. As I approached the debris, finally, I pulled the lever.

My eyes instantly became too heavy for my head. My skull crushing my spine. Black suddenly swallowed my sight. I was blacking out. It felt as though an elephant sat on my arms, I was experiencing 18.9 G’s. The ship long disappeared off my radar, it was me and the debris. My arm’s fell to the force and let go of the lever and before I even realized...
