1. Convincing him
┈━ ◇ ━┈
"Come on, jk! You've been mopping around for quite a while, it's unhealthy now." Jin sits down on the couch, feeling defeated.
Jungkook stays silent, scrolling through his phone, but jin knows better, he is just pretending to be alright and inside he's still hurting himself.
"You're gonna love it there, I swear! Haven't you seen the pictures hobi posted in the ground chat?" He tries again earning a sigh coming from jungkook.
"It's been howmany... probably a year now. This is not okay, are you even listening to me?" Jin stands up, rage filling his veins.
"Are you trying to understand me, hyung?" Jungkook looks up, sliding away his phone on the couch. "He was my dad and I am half responsible for what happened to him. I can't just let myself.... for God's sake." His voice cracks, not being able to control his voice, he lets his head rest on his hands, hiding his face.
Jin's face softens, seeing his friend being miserable.
The door of his apartment suddenly bangs open, a very exhausted looking jimin coming through. He shuts the door close, analysing the situation inside.
"What now, kook?" He asks, running a hand through his hair, flipping it as it bounces back on its previous position. "Will you please, for once, stop blaming yourself and being a floor mop?" He attacks through his words.
Jungkook has already had enough today and jimin decides to show up now. Bad timing!
"Oh, well, how would you know what regret is, Mr jimin playboy park? All you do is bang chicks and dicks somewhere in the pub and behave like nothing happened the next day. How many girlfriends have you had? Did you ever feel sad after breakin' up? No, am I right? So please leave me the fuck alone." Jungkook says, not even once looking away from jimin's wide, surprised eyes.
"Wow, man!" Jin whispers, enjoying the exchange of words.
"Okay, I'm shameless, I know. But this coming from you is like an insult and I don't tolerate it, jk." Jimin crosses his hands in front of his chest, now feeling very wronged.
"Fine." Jungkook sighs. "I'm sorry, but I spoke nothing false, just so you know." He shrugs and moves forward, sliding his phone back in his pocket and enters his room, slamming the door shut leaving the two behind.
"This kid's got some nerves, huh?" Jimin mumbles looking at jin but jin shrugs, being neutral.
"For fuck's sake!" Jimin looks up, rolling his eyes in frustration. "I'm done with this and I'm out." He says.
"Out to where? Banging chicks and dicks?" Jin says and instantly regrets after seeing jimin's reaction. "Okay, sorry." He tries not to laugh.
"I am out of this situation. Now, I don't care how you, hobi and suga hyung can pursue him. I'm done with this. bye!" Jimin says, emphasising his words and leaves the room, heading out to probably actually hit some pubs or bars.
Talk about being dramatic!
While inside jungkook's apartment, jin proceeds to bang on jungkook's bedroom door. "Come out now, you, big kid." He yells but gets no response.
"That's straight up bullshit, hobi." Yoongi shakes his head, disagreeing.
"You don't believe me? Come on! Look! My grandpa really had some secret business going on, otherwise, why would he need a whole bungalow inside the fuckin' jungle? He wasn't loaded with money, so how?" Hobi says, scooting closer to yoongi who is trying to mind his own business and forces him to look at the pictures of the said bungalow.
"And why do I care? Can we just decide on it now? I'm okay with it, whatever grand looking house you're gonna use for your party. I literally don't care." Yoongi says, trying to find peace but hobi wouldn't let him.
"But, at the same time, why should I suspect him? Let's not care about it. You're right, yoongi." Hobi sits back on his place properly, shrugging it aside too easily.
Yoongi's phone rings, indicating an incoming call. He puts down his headphones, pulling out his phone from his jeans' pocket. The caller id shows, 'Kim seokjin'.
He picks up the call, putting it on speaker, otherwise hobi would keep on asking him about what he talked to jin about. Too much hassle!
"Yaah, yoongi. Come here right now, I can't handle it anymore." Jin says, sounding tired.
"What? Why?" Yoongi asks back.
"This kid won't listen to me at all. Do you want him to go with us or not?" Jin says.
"Of course, but what can I do if he's not listening to you?" Yoongi says monotonously.
"Let's go to his apartment." Hobi says, tugging on yoongi's shirt. "Don't worry, hyung. We're coming to the rescue." Hobi says to jin, hanging up the call.
"What the..." yoongi says but sighs and stays silent. There's no other way now.
"Okay, let's go and get it done with." They head out, stepping outside of yoongi's small but cozy studio.
"Howmany times have I told you?" His grip on the man's cheeks tightens while his face remains expression less as if he's using no strength.
"This won't happen again." The man pleads, holding onto his tears, more like trying to hide them. Even at a time like this, he still has an ego to care for?!
"Oh, it sure will not." He smiles, his grip loosening. "Because, you won't be here anymore to make the same mistake again." These are his last words before he grips his jaw tightly and with a snap, dislocates his neck with force.
The man doesn't have a chance to whimper. He is lucky to have a less painful death.
"This wasn't necessary, jiwoong." A man, really tall, his facial features sharp, hair slicked back neatly, says as he walks inside.
"Namjoon hyung!" He smiles. "He just wouldn't listen." Jiwoong says, his eyebrows knitted together but soon smiles again like nothing happened.
"Besides, I'm sure his death wouldn't go to waste." He chuckles, sipping the red wine as he sits down on the fancy looking chair before dusting off his hands. "He can repay us with his own blood. Isn't he really lucky?" His smile stays intact while his eyes travels up and down on the man's body, fallen on the ground lifelessly.
"Don't let taehyung find out about it." Namjoon says sternly, taking a seat as well.
"That's a sure thing." Jiwoong mutters, taking another sip from his glass. "Where is he anyway?" He adds.
"Probably out for a nighthunt." Namjoon says as jiwoong nods his head.
Later, he gestures one of their men to clean up the mess on the floor even though there was nearly nothing to clean up. Jiwoong has always been really neat and clean with his work and that may be the reason why taehyung is still tolerating him.
The night is young, the tender moonlight cascading through the thick layer of tree branches and leaves above his head and on him just makes him look ethereal.
The water runs down the rocks, wetting the soil around his feet as he raises his hand, touching the flowing water. The glass-clear water runs down the palm of his hand, drenching the hem of his shirt.
The small puddle of water near his feet is rippling as the water drips down in the form of small drops through his now drenched sleeve of the shirt. He looks up, the sky is clear giving a chance to shine to the stars.
He walks ahead, the wind blows, rustling his hair as he breathes in the aroma of pine trees; so peaceful and relaxing.
A smile surfaces on his face and he runs his hand along the thick bushes of flowers lined up beside him as he walks on the fallen tree leaves that are scattered on the ground.
He adorns a victorian shirt, as white as snow, paired with black pants. His hair parted perfectly but some of the strands still flows freely with the wind. His eyes, as black as the voids of darkness which seems like, it's going to devour you anytime soon if you stare at them for long.
He takes his steps, slowly, with caution and looks at the moon, as if searching something. His mind wanders everywhere...
Human blood to him, is a rare delicacy and he resists the desire building up in the depth of his heart very calmly. Tonight, he will manage with a deer or two.
"Why are you even trying? Just let him be." Yoongi pops a gummy candy inside his mouth, looking as unbothered as he can. "We can just tease him in the future about how he is so obsessed with winning but he can't win against the sadness." He takes another gummy candy from the packet, observing it.
"That kinda sounds poetic." Hobi comments, smiling, but soon turns to look at jungkook who is sulking, sitting on his bed while jin stands above his head with crossed hands.
"I'm not losing even now. Because I don't care about the party, I just want to be alone." Jungkook says, being as stubborn as ever.
"You wanna be alone? Let hobi give you a separate room in his grandpa's house when we get there, how does that sound?" Jin says, still trying to keep his head cool.
"Um, in that case..." Jungkook trails off, pondering over the various possibilities and what not.
"Finally!" Yoongi says, exaggerating a little as his voice is louder than usual and gets up, walking out of the room.
"It's settled then! You can't change your mind now, kook." Jin says, more like orders him and jungkook stays silent.
"I'll give jimin a call." Hobi says, pulling out his phone from his back pocket.
"Why bother? He's probably very busy fucking someone right now, if I'm not wrong." Jungkook mutters but gets ignored by hobi.
"Jesus!" Jin whispers, walking out as well, leaving jungkook alone.
He silently looks outside the window, the moon is bright tonight and the stars twinkle in the sky full of hazy, almost transparent clouds.
He sighs, standing up and walks outside where the others are probably deciding things for the trip as well as the party.
Jungkook hears hobi talking to jimin when walks past the hallway and enters the living room.
"Yeah, he agreed. Why can't you believe me?" Hobi says, sounding frustrated. "Also, get your ass here right now, we're going to discuss everything tonight." He says and abruptly cuts the call. Jimin is probably pissed off right now.
Yoongi has occupied the couch where he lays really comfortably and jin is in the kitchen, getting the cold drinks for everyone.
"Is jimin coming?" Jin shouts from the kitchen.
"Most probably; because he doesn't want to get scolded by suga hyung tomorrow. " Hobi says, pushing yoongi's legs away, making space for him on the couch and sits down.
Jungkook sits down at the kitchen counter, listening to the things happening around him.
"Is this even my own apartment anymore?" He mumbles, sighing into the palm of his hand and rests his head down on the counter, covering his face with the sleeves of his oversized t-shirt.
Here you go with the first chapter! I'm trying my best to make it as thrilling as possible.
Buckle up, people! The ride has begun now!
