T/N T/C: (your name and surname) t/n was born in Lawrence, Kansas, is 19 years old and a prodigy girl with a very tormented past. She decided to study and enroll in police school because of the disappearance of her sister. Before arriving at Quantico he worked in the Anti-Crime team. Since her beloved little sister disappeared, she has never considered another profession, in fact she has prepared all her life to be a profiler.

AERON HOCTHNER: He is the head of the team. He graduated with a law degree and worked for a long time as a lawyer. He later became a member of SWAT, the U.S. police team that deals with the raids. Then he joined the FBI, becoming a B.A.U. profiler. He is the supervisor of the team along with David Rossi. He has a very harsh character, he is picky and the other agents consider him with no sense of humor. He is actually very focused in his work, which is not the easiest and often the cases he followed have touched him deeply. Precisely for this reason he is always very serious and tries to establish order among his subordinates. He cares a lot about his men, by whom he is deeply esteemed. He doesn’t like cramped spaces very much. He has a wife named Haley, a newborn son named Jack, and a brother named Sean, who he is unable to attend regularly due to numerous work commitments.

SPENCER REID: He is only 24 years old and is a young genius: he has an IQ of 187, a formidable eidetic memory, he can read over 20 thousand words per minute and has three degrees, a doctorate in chemistry, one in mathematics and one in engineering, a degree in psychology, one in sociology and is looking to graduate in philosophy. Not only did he graduate at just 12 years old and get three degrees, but he is an expert in pretty much everything. Like all geniuses, his social life is quite limited. In fact, he completely misses the appeal and spends all his time with colleagues in the Bureau, with some of whom he has forged a deep friendship. In Dr. Reid we find a teenager who grew up too fast, but also a mature and highly experienced man. He is a big fan of “Star Trek”, “Star Wars” and “Doctor Who” and likes soap operas and Indian food; he loves Halloween, and he seems to have a predilection for classical music (Mozart and Beethoven) His favorite drink is coffee. Being so young he is a bit considered the ‘little’ of the group and everyone is very protective towards him, also because of his poor physical strength. He joined the FBI at 20, and at 22 he joined the BAU as a Supervising Special Agent; he never considered another profession, in fact he prepared his whole life to be a profiler. He is always presented with the nickname of “Doctor” on the proposal of Gideon and Hotch explains to him that the reason is that given his young age, as an agent he might not be taken seriously. He has an analytical mind and a high ability to concentrate, even in stressful situations. His nicknames within the team are: “Ragazzino” by Morgan, “Boy Wonder” by Garcia, and “Genietto” or “Einstein” by Rossi.

DEREK MORGAN: He was born and lived in Chicago, where his mother and two sisters live. He is a charming man, who many like women; his mother is white while his father, black, and he died during a shooting to thwart a robbery, when Morgan was 10 years old. He was a bully at a very young age, following the death of his father. In fact, he had been attracted by a bad company of friends, from which he managed to get out thanks to the intervention of the active youth center in his neighborhood. He also worked for some time for the bomb squad and is a black belt in Jūdō. He has a special relationship with Penelope Garcia, whom he calls his “bambodo” on several occasions, is an expert in obsessive crimes, and is married to Savannah with whom he will have a son, Hank Spencer.

JENNIFER JEROU “JJ”: born and raised in East Allegheny, a town near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in a large house with older sister Rosalyn and parents. She had a happy childhood, and on summer days she and her sister played outside all day. She graduated with honors from East Allegheny High School while in Pittsburgh she attended college thanks to an athletic scholarship. She decided to join the FBI after attending, in her senior year at Georgetown University, Washington D.C., a conference by Special Agent Supervisor and co-founder of the David Rossi Behavioral Analysis Unit, held in the University bookstore. That evening he purchased the volume and the following autumn he applied for the Accademia di Quantico. She appears from the second episode of the first season as a “public relations officer”, an expert in communications and bureaucracy, or as she herself says “the liaison between the BAU and the rest of the world”: in fact she is in charge of managing relations with the media acting as a spokesperson and an intermediary with the police throughout the country who request a consultation with the BAU (she first receive notifications or case files, which she examines, and then, if it is ascertained that it is a serial crime, she summons the team). Similarly, it is she who usually talks to the families and acquaintances of the victims, when the investigation is still in its inception, to gather as much information as possible about their habits and lifestyles, and to reassure them that the team is committed to the fullest. Being very empathetic, she manages to get familiar with the people she talks to, and let them trust her. Immediately, he calls himself JJ and is attentive and sensitive especially towards the families and survivors, managing to understand their state of mind, to find the best way to give them good or bad news and to reassure them. She is also very patient and respectful of the feelings of others, especially pain, as she is aware that she will forever change the lives of families who are about to receive news from her. She has a real passion for potato chips, she is often seen eating them during plane trips or in the operating room; she is so greedy that she uses “Alito di Patatine” as a username for Scarabeo matches online against Prentiss. She is married to William “Will” LaMontagne Jr. with whom she will have a son named Henry and her godparents will be Reid and Garcia.

PENELOPE GARCIA: She is the team’s IT analyst. Originally from San Francisco, California, she was born in 1977 and has four adoptive siblings, her surname is that of her adoptive parents, Barbara and Emilio Garcia, killed by a drunken street pirate when Penelope was 18; she felt guilty for a long time because on the evening of the accident she had not respected the curfew for the second time that week, so they had gone out to look for her. After their death she went through a dark period: she abandoned the California Institute of Technology and “disappeared from circulation” continuing to learn the secrets of “computer programming” as a self-taught and became a “Gothic,” acquiring the nickname “The Black Queen” and, thanks to her mentor Shane Wyeth, she has exceptional hacker skills. She had been placed on one of the FBI lists that brought together a small group of talented and dangerous hackers from around the world, and that’s where she was recruited. Prior to recruitment, along with Shane, he illegally entered the sites of companies and companies he believed engaged in criminal activities. She was arrested by Hotch in San Jose in 2004 for entering the sites of a cosmetics company driven by outrage over the use of animals in testing products. As an alternative to prison she was offered a place at the BAU, as Hotch had sensed her good character and scrupulous morality in choosing the “targets” to penetrate and she accepted, then handed him the resume to be sent to the Human Resources department of the FBI handwritten on pink writing paper she had in her bag. His place of work is in the “monitor room”: Garcia is in fact surrounded by computers and collaborates in the investigations giving any kind of information in real time and in a few seconds to the team, which is often around the country. With an extravagant but fashionable look, he always wears dresses with bright colors and patterns, coordinating makeup and jewelry, and very often wears flowers or decorations in his hair, as well as large glasses that are also colored or adorned with rhinestones. She is playful and likes to joke as “The Source of Knowledge”, “The Oracle of Quantico” but she knows how to get back serious as soon as the situation requires it. She is cheerful, a little exuberant and can sometimes seem intrusive because of her need to always know everything about everyone: she actually does it for good, to protect the people she cares about. He is always available to conduct personal research if someone asks him; he is not capable of keeping secrets. She is aware that she is the best in her field and does nothing to hide it. He is fluent in French and suffers from coulrophobia an irrational fear of clowns. She is vegetarian and left-handed and among her hobbies are knitting and cooking soups; she drinks tea and loves any kind of spicy and spicy food since she was 9 years old. Her stepfather, being Hispanic, took the “Day of the Dead” holiday very seriously, transmitting its importance to her, who every year organizes a ceremony at her house complete with a commemorative altar. She is a fan of the films of the Italian Federico Fellini, and of David Bowie (her favorite song is “Heroes”. His favorite author is Joseph Campbell and his favorite band is the Beatles. She is an incompassable optimus, and that sometimes makes her job at BAU more difficult.

EMILY PRENTISS: Enters the BAU to replace Agent Greenaway. Not much is known about the profiler’s personal affairs, but we know that she knows many languages including Arabic, having lived for a period in the Middle East, and Russian and that her mother is an ambassador. She is the first to clearly demonstrate and in front of her colleagues the addiction problems that Reid suffers as a result of the kidnapping of the S.I. Raphael. The other officers however point out to her that, as a good profiler, they had already realized this and that it is up to Reid to ask for help. His will in case of death and that of being cremated. She is being persecuted by a fugitive from a Korean prison (Doyle) who is looking for her and all those who participated in her capture for revenge, an Irish terrorist she fell in love with years ago during an undercover operation that led to her arrest. He escapes away thanks to the complicity of JJ and Hotch who apparently seem to be the only ones aware of the truth.

DAVID ROSSI: of Italian origin, he was one of the founders of the Behavioral Analysis Unit and conducted pioneering studies on criminal profiles. Italian-American, Rossi was born and raised on Long Island in the town of Commack, but left his birthplace to enlist in the Marines and, once discharged, join the FBI so as not to return to frequent the circles close to the organized crime of his childhood, which saw one of his best friends, Ray Finnegan, become a local boss. As an FBI agent he began teaching at the Academy ‘Otoll Negotiation Techniques’ and was involved in important actions such as taking hostages in Waco. He has interrogated dozens of serial killers including Ted Bundy and Charles Manson. A graduate in Criminal Law, he has written dozens of books and lectures and lectures in various parts of the country on serial killers and criminal psychopathology. Along with other FBI agents, he founded the Behavioral Analysis Unit in the 1960s with purposes primarily aimed at teaching subjects such as applied criminology and initiated the first criminal personality research project. He returns to service after his leave as Gideon’s replacement, and it will be discovered that his return is due to a case not resolved twenty years earlier in Indianapolis: a double murder where a man and a woman were murdered with an axe in front of their three children. This investigation had become his obsession so much that he carried three medals with the names of the little witnesses. Rossi is an outgoing and sunny person, although he shows that he has great discipline and concentration. He is impatient with politics and bureaucracy and is therefore not afraid to get his hands dirty if necessary. Although he is not the head of the Unit, he is certainly a reference figure with paternalistic traits towards the other members. In fact, he helped Morgan overcome his faith crisis, Reid reconnect the threads of his past, and JJ overcome the difficulties due to the birth of his son. He was also the only one Emily confided in her past stories and supported Hotch during the Reaper investigation and after Haley’s death. He discovers that he has a daughter, Joy, born from his second marriage and a two-year-old grandson, Kai, and an Italian son-in-law. His daughter will use his last name and they will have a very strong bond.

S.I. : unknown subject. They are the people who commit the crimes the team investigates.
