"I love the military setting of the writing, I'm wanting to join the Marines when I am older and this writing is only making that want stronger. Throughout the book I am constantly wanting to see what is ahead, and during the read I'm feeling like I'm right there in the action. Whenever Jordy gets into a fight with her superiors and the few cowardly incompetent friendlies, I'm right there and getting fired up when she's getting angry at them. Overall, I love this and want to find more like this on the app"
Amazing Depiction of war
"I laughed I cried I felt their pain. This was a well written story about war from a soldier's perspective. The roller coaster of emotions takes the reader on a journey most of us can not understand as we have never experienced a soldier's life. The author does an excellent job of giving readers an insight into the reality of a soldier's life. I will miss these characters, they gave everything. I also have a new appreciation for war medals."

"A must read by any politician or west point cadet who are sure to be in charge during the next war. As a veteran of the last war and now a parent of the next, this book was an emotional journey that bleeds with tragic realism. You will give a shit about every character in this book and it will break your heart as the story goes alone. The author executes a unique prose that captures what it's like to go to war from the foggy perspective of a lowly private just trying to get by. It is chaotic and yet laser focused on what matters. I appreciate the tremendous dedication of this author to bring this story to life, it truly could not have been easy. Thank you!"

Frightingly accuate
"Outstanding! The grasp of the military mind and mechanisms is shockingly accurate. As someone that wore diapers cut from old, worn out, green utilities and, eighteen years later carried one of those little timebombs in my wallet, I can testify that this story is dead-on accurate. It is, of course, a work of fiction and the action is a bit intense for any one individual grunt, but, shockingly, not beyond the realm of plausibility. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT READ! I would be interested in knowing what Haley's background is. Military, military brat or just an excellent researcher? PN"

"Intensed, action packed throughout with suspense that's killing one mentally. That's how I describe the book. Apart from the fact that it is excellently written as all stories from Haley Donahue, the detail of every event makes one part of the miserable adventure. The way it ends, leaves it wide open for a follow up book. Even though no one, including myself, can tell you how to write such a follow up, I do beleive there are a few routes one could take. Having said that, I beleive that this, book 1, has enough action drama and therefor a 2nd book could be from a more positive angle, starting with Jordy's recovery. With so much hellish experience behind her, she could possibly take on the government on all the negative points she has learned during her time as a soldier. You, Haley, has a phenominal creative talent in story telling so yes, I am sure you will cook up something amazing, should you decide to give it a go. Wichever - Good Luck. "
