Chapter 1

It was a normal day for 9-year-old Sarah. She was playing with her dolls in her bedroom as the sun slowly sank in the sky. Just before sundown, she heard the sound of her Aunt's car pulling into the driveway. She was excited to see her aunt and uncle, who she rarely got to visit with.

But as soon as Sarah opened the door to greet them, she knew something was wrong. Her aunt and uncle had an eerie pallor on their faces, like they had seen a ghost. She knew something was wrong, but she wasn't sure what.

Sarah followed her aunt and uncle into the living room, where they told her the news: her parents had been killed in a car accident. She was to live with her aunt and uncle from now on.

Sarah was devastated and scared, and she felt like she was living in a nightmare. She felt like her world was crashing down around her.

At night, Sarah began to hear strange noises in the house. Creaking floors, scratching in the walls, and banging on the windows. She knew something was wrong, and she was scared to death.

One night, Sarah heard a voice in her bedroom. It was a low, raspy voice that seemed to be whispering her name. She screamed, but no one came to her rescue.

The next morning, Sarah asked her aunt and uncle if they had heard the voice in her room. They looked at her like she was crazy and said they hadn't heard anything.

Sarah began to believe that whatever was living in this house was out to get her. She was scared for her life and felt like she was a prisoner in her own home.

One day, Sarah's aunt and uncle decided to take her to a local church. They said it would be a good way for her to cope with her parents' death.

At the church, Sarah saw something that made her blood run cold. In the corner of the room was a figure shrouded in shadows. She knew it was the same voice she had heard in her bedroom.

Sarah ran from the church and never looked back. From that day on, she was too afraid to be in the house with her aunt and uncle. She stayed at a friend's house most nights and only returned home during the day.

Sarah knew that something dark and sinister was living in her aunt and uncle's house. She just didn't know what it was. But she knew she had to be careful, or else it might come after her.
