" You dance to a tune of our blood"
"
In the land of Palestine, where our sufferings persist,
Voices go unheard, in silence they resist.
Tired and weary, our hearts heavy with despair,
we plea for compassion, for someone to care.
hear our pain, our anguish deep within,
In a world that turns its back, where atrocities begin.
we ask for understanding, for empathy and support,
To feel the agony we bear, for justice to be brought.
The cameras capture our suffering, our cries in despair,
Yet they fall on deaf ears, no one seems to care.
We don't ask you to cease living or to abandon your joy,
Just to acknowledge our pain, to raise your voice, oh boy!
For years we've endured bombings, lives lost in vain,
But you dance to a tune, of our blood, a deadly refrain.
You turn a blind eye, skipping news that tells our plight,
Leaving us alone, engulfed in the darkness of the night.
Ignored by the world, their stories untold,
As lives are lost, hearts shatter, and souls fold.
In the womb, a mother and child face their fate,
Their bodies intertwined, victims of hate.
In the womb, I felt the bombs' intensity, a life so young,
But my journey cut short, my song left unsung.
Hospitals destroyed, our sanctuaries crumbled to dust,
Yet you continue to support, in greed and blind trust.
Essentials scarce, a shortage of every breath,
Yet the world funds destruction, fueling their death.
Fathers hold their lifeless children, so dear,
Whispering salaams to the Prophet they revere.
Our fathers hold us tightly, as fear fills their eyes,
While the world dances on, oblivious to our cries.
Funeral prayers are given, but what good do they do,
When action is needed, when silence won't see us through?
Funeral prayers offered, but actions fall short,
Empty minds, blind eyes, and hearts devoid of support.
Mothers slain before their children's eyes,
Bombs obliterating families, leaving only cries
Mothers and families slaughtered, before our very gaze,
Yet you celebrate Halloween, lost in a pointless daze.
We write our names, marking us for death's cold embrace,
So our loved ones may find us, in this chaotic space.
My sister, just a child, supplies me with oxygen to breathe,
Trapped under rubble, her pain she can't relieve.
My father's tears, his heart shattered by grief,
As he cradles my mother, longing for relief.
Mental health deteriorates, a silent toll,
Children taught that this suffering is the world's role.
Women fear motherhood, their spirits worn thin,
Fathers lose everything, as their families begin to dim.
Women losing fertility, men losing their brides,
Families losing everything, as the world abides.
But you keep skipping the news, ignoring our despair,
Choosing to support those who inflict pain unfair.
The world has become a graveyard, filled with despair,
Yet you remain silent, as if you're unaware.
It's time for you to feel our pain, to hear our desperate pleas,
To stand up for what's right, to bring us some ease.
Universities cease, students turned martyrs' kin,
While others celebrate, ignorant of the pain within.
You don't have to be Muslim, just be human and kind,
To open your heart, to speak up for those left behind.
No longer dance to the melody of our bloodshed,
It's time to break the silence, to act instead.
Feel the agony we endure, the struggle to be free,
Stand with us, and let justice decree.
Our land, Palestine, torn apart by war's wrath,
And still, you ignore, embracing a different path.
We, Palestinians, won't succumb, for our hearts are pure,
Embracing our fate, united in courage, strong and sure.
This is not a mere test, but a fight for liberation,
While you, in cages, remain slaves to their domination.
We'll take our tale to Allah, when words can no longer suffice,
Lost in your apathy, it's time to break the ice.
No more dancing to the melody of our pain,
It's time for you to awaken, to break free from this chain.
We are tired of you all, your hollow support,
For it is you who truly need help and resort.
Silent you remain, bored by our plight,
But remember, it is your humanity that needs the light.
Open your hearts, see the suffering that's real,
Together, as humans, let compassion truly heal.
No more dancing to the melody of our blood,
No more excuses, it's time for you to flood.
Let these words be a reminder, a heartfelt plea,
To open minds, awaken hearts, and set Palestine free.
To you, we may seem tired, but imagine our plight,
Yearning for freedom, our hearts shining bright.
