Summary

A collection of short poems that vary in content and subject. There will be similarities between some, as will there be different variations amongst others. Repeating topics will occur as struck by inspiration. Also includes some re-imagined nursery rhymes that have been paired with characters from one of my stories. Kind of a sneak peak into their personalities and to get you excited to meet them later!

Once Upon A Flower

Look upon a flower,

With its delicate beauty;

Undergoing a shower,

From Nature’s true face.

Look upon a flower,

With it’s surmising grace;

Swaying, swaying,

In life’s ever-changing breeze.

Look upon a flower,

With its intoxicating fragrance;

Identified by:

All of those who surround.

Look upon a flower,

And see it’s delicate beauty;

Watch it sway back and forth,

Be among those who are standing by.

I did find the single line paragraphs a little uncomfortable to read as it didn’t flow but the content was amusing and sweet. For me, the ending didn’t feel like an ending, it just stopped. I understand the implication of the final c...
