The Outcasts

Shaheann sat at the edge of the river as the Winter wind brushed her silver-tipped hair. Off behind her, she heard the howls and barks of the werewolf clan she lived near. She adjusted her black feathered wings and stood up as she heard the timbers break behind her. As she opened her wings wide, she jumped into the air and beat her wings to the wind just as four wolves burst through where she had just stood. A large red and black colored wolf looked at her as she flew up and changed to human form and flew across the waters of broken ice, "let her go, she'll be back," he said as he watched her; his dark eyes following her until he heard growling and barking from behind him.

He turned around and joined his clan to break up the fight that had started, "ENOUGH!!" he bellowed as he walked the path towards their home. Everyone quickly moved out of his way as Jake and Ira stopped the fighting to look at their Alpha, "this is why she left!" he said looking at them as he walked past them. Meanwhile, she heard his voice echo across the river, "I will never be a slave to him, nor anyone else," she whispered as her hands began to change into claws.

Shaheann was a hybrid, a werewolf, and demon mixed. Her father was a very powerful demon named Marius, while her mother, the werewolf Maeve, was actually once a member of the clan she was fleeing from. She looked around the dark forest as shadows moved. White beings hissed from the darkness, baring their fangs, "leave me be you blood-sucking bastards!" she said to the white beings. Her hands instantly began to trace runes as silver smoke wrapped around her and she threw the mist towards the white beings as they attempted to run. They each burst into dust as she walked in the opposite direction of her house.

Her cape appeared in a silver mist in her hand and she put it on to cover her very visible black wings which had a silver sheen in any kind of light. She walked through the forest until she couldn't see snow on the ground and stopped. Where she stopped at looked like it was still spring, with green all around here and a set of old railroad tracks flowing through it. She began walking along the lonely dirt road when suddenly all went black. She awoke with the sun shining in her eyes in a bed she didn't recognize and shot out from it like a bullet, "wow you're fast," said the female voice by the door.

The female cautiously approached her, with hands in the air, "be still, friend, my name is Diaoraidh," she said softly as she sat in a chair near the bed. Shaheann stared at her, from pointy-tipped ear to pale skin, "You're an Elven?" She asked, "Yes, Keeper of the Woods," Diaoraidh said proudly as they both heard music playing. Diaoraidh stood and guided Shaheann out the door and the scent hit Shaheann hard, "werewolves," she whispered. Diaoraidh looked astonished as a male began walking away from them with guitar in hand, wearing denim jeans and a plain white shirt, "Ry?" Diaoraidh asked as the man turned his head. His hair was a dark brown and his eyes were ice blue, "yes Diaoraidh?" He asked happily,"Were you followed?" She asked softly, "just the nearby pack, they said they scented a lone wolf around the area," Ry said.

Just then a blonde male walked through the trees, "Ry you coming?" He asked before meeting Shaheann's eyes. Once their eyes met, his began to glow, "Interesting being," he said softly as he approached her, with his eyes cast downward, "Not full were..." he began as her eyes glowed silver, "Ahh, mixed breed, you must be who the other pack is searching for," he said as Ry approached them, "This is Marius' youngling," Ry said as the scent of werewolf floated off of him to her, "I was not aware that there was more than one pack in this vicinity, and I've lived here all my life," she said with her head raised high, "Ahh, not quite a pack," Ry said, "Just the outcasts from that pack," the blonde said, "Shaheann, don't you remember me?" Ry asked with a smile, "Although, possibly not, as my father was thrown out when we were younger..." he said.

Her eyes began to sparkle, "Ryan?" she asked with surprise, "Yes," Ry said as he held his arms out for a hug, "I've missed you Packmate," he said as they hugged, "I wondered often where you went. There's a new Alpha who wants to mate with me, but I have no interest in being his slave," she said as Diaoraidh stepped up beside her, "You are more than welcome to stay here for as long as you want; this is a safe-haven for all outcasts from the Pack," she said to Shaheann. Shaheann merely nodded as Diaoraidh wrapped her arms around Ry's waist, "Ready my mate?" she asked him with a smile, "Yes, let's go," he said as they began to walk with Shaheann and the blonde right behind them.
