Running
I’d stopped myself from blurting the thing on the edge of my tongue, the thing I’d never said, even though we both knew well enough without me saying it aloud to him in the street— which was of course, I love you. But, I said it anyway. "I love you." I said, Boris was frozen, I'm not sure that was the right thing to say. He started to back away, like he was going to run
"Boris, come with me, come to New York with me." He paused.
"I will always follow you, моя любовь" He replied, he.. called me "my love." He followed me into the car, getting in after me.
"Highland park station please" Boris said, with a thicker accent than usual. The driver headed toward the station, Boris, patting Popchyk as he drove, only now I realise, I had loved Boris for ages, yet I never realised it. We pulled in to the station, getting out, and walking in, I handed the ticket person 10 dollars, gave a ticket to Boris and headed in "Where are we actually staying, Potter?" I thought about it, I wasn't sure. Would Hobie be fine? Would he tell anyone? "With my friend Hobie" I said, calmly. He nodded.
We arrived to the next station, I pulled out a bag of chips, giving some to Popper, then to Boris "Thanks" he said, I nodded.
A few hours later, it began getting dark again, we'd spent all day on the train, I started feeling tired, I ended up falling asleep, when I awoke, Boris was laying his head on mine, people were giving us looks, but I honestly didn't care anymore. I fell back asleep, awoke again some time later to Boris trying to wake me up.
"Potter, wake up we're a stop away from our station" I nodded, I was still tired though. I didn't want to get up.
We reached the station and got out, looking around. "Its been a bit since I was here.." I said. He nodded, we continued walking for what seemed like forever. Eventually, we reached Hobie's place. I rang the door bell twice, backing away afterwards. I knew he took a bit to answer "I don't think he's here." Boris said, nudging my shoulder. "He is." I said, just as the door opened, and Hobie walked out.
"Ah! Theo, what brings you here? And who's this?" I walked toward him. "Oh and you've got yourself a dog as well?" I nodded. "His name is Popchyk, And thats Boris." I looked at boris, my face must of done something weird then because Hobie looked like he knew something was between us.
"Well, come in. You're getting soaked." Only then had I noticed the fact that it was raining, a lot. We walked inside, Boris seemed so out of place here, but I'm so glad he came with me. Boris wandered off through the house taking popper with him, leaving just me and Hobie.
"So, who's that friend of yours?" He said, with a smirk crawling across his face. "Oh, thats Boris. I met him when I was living with my dad." small silence. "Ah, and the way you look at him?" He was smirking, knowing something was happening between Boris and I. I smiled, thinking of him. Boris had walked back in as I smiled.
"моя любовь" He said, nothing else. He smirked, Hobie looked so confused, I don't think he knows Russian. "Hm?" I asked. "Popchyk found a spot he likes, he won't move." I nodded and walked off, leaving Hobie alone, Boris followed shortly behind me. "He found a bed. I can't get him to move." I smiled, leaning on his shoulder.
We left Popper on Hobie's bed, walking back out the the kitchen. "You kids hungry?" Hobie asked, we nodded. "Alright, I'll make you guys some food. Feel free to find a room or two, depends..?" He sounded confused, I turned to Boris. "One or two?" He looked at me "Well we've slept together heaps of times its pretty much normal, we can just have one room" Hobie nodded, a smirk creeping across his face slowly. "Alright, no silly business, got it?" Boris and I laughed "Don't worry, Сэр. We won't." He giggled. "Alright. Go get settled in then." We decided to go unpack, I reached into my bag, finding the painting. (Boris still took it but gave it back earlier lol) I hid it under the bed, and sitting down.
Hours later, Hobie called us into the kitchen to eat, Boris and I were playing music and talking the entire time we were waiting. We walked out, ate, showered, went to sleep.
I'm not sure how I ended up here, I thought Boris and I would live a good life in LA, with my dad, I'd forget about my mom, live a life with Boris, jesus fuck. I love him. Anyway, we went out just us two, I decided it was time to visit Andy again, Boris told me he wanted to come, so I said yes.
