Chapter One

A chilling mist envelops the waters of Mount Travis, shrouding the lake in an eerie cloak of darkness. The atmosphere, pregnant with an unsettling aura, conceals a malevolent history whispered by the very creek that winds through the ominous landscape. The air is thick with an unsettling anticipation, as if the past itself is woven into the mist, ready to unfurl its ghostly secrets upon those who dare to venture near. A group of friends eagerly embarks on a week-long camping trip, oblivious to the sinister secrets lurking within the mist. Among them are Devon and Melissa, the adventurous couple; Craig and Dawn, intimately connected; and Trevor and Kelly, the group’s virgins hoping to break their curse amid the misty wilderness.

At the park office, where Devon and Trevor pay for the group’s entrance, a ranger issues a grave warning, recounting numerous reports of missing hikers and trailblazers over the past months. Humorously dismissing the ranger’s caution, Devon pats Trevor on the back and states that the only thing they have to watch out for is the Trevor’s virgin dick as he exits the office ready for the adventure to the campsite and hungry for an intimate week with Melissa.

The group ventured along the ominous 5km trail, ascending the mountain where the lake’s edge welcomed Mount Travis with its eerie beauty. As they reached their destination, an unsettling feeling settled over them. Hastily, they began the task of setting up camp, ensuring there was enough distance between the tents to drown out each other’s sounds—sounds that would soon transform from joyous laughter and pleasure to something more sinister in the heart of the looming wilderness.

As the group cozied up around the crackling campfire’s warmth, Craig broached the topic of Mount Travis’s sinister tales. Devon, once again taking it lightly, chuckled it off as a mere jest. Unyielding, Craig persisted, his tone shifting into an eerie cadence as he crafted his s’more.

“The story speaks of the early ’90s when a bunch, just like us, embarked on a spring break camping trip. Caught in a storm while scavenging for firewood, they found themselves lost around Mount Travis. Struggling, they decided to split into two groups. One stumbled upon a cave higher up, and the other encountered a park ranger amid the storm. They detailed their situation, and the ranger, unable to aid in the tempest, escorted them back to the office to await the storm’s end.”

Craig continued, “The storm raged for seven days. When rescue crews reached the cave, they discovered only two bodies, mutilated beyond recognition, flesh stripped from bone. Initially attributing it to a wild beast, autopsies revealed human-like bite marks. As they searched for the remaining trio, they encountered a figure one night, humanoid yet twisted. A ranger fatally shot it, only to find it clad in the clothes of one of the missing friends, Andrew Mcallan. Autopsy confirmed his identity, but his body had mutated into something sinister within those seven days. The other two were never found, and the chilling accounts from witnesses suggest they, too, succumbed to a sinister transformation, lingering in these very woods.”

With trepidation clouding their eyes, the group grapples with uncertainty, caught between belief and skepticism in the unsettling tales Craig weaves. An eerie hush falls upon them, the nocturnal symphony of the woods intensifying around their huddled circle. Craig’s revelations prompt nervous laughter from Devon, who brushes off the unsettling narrative as a mere jest. Melissa, however, nudges him, urging him to cease his cavalier demeanor as the group fixates their gaze on the unfolding tension.

Attempting to dispel the disquiet, Devon rises, opting for the distraction of a beer by the campfire. Simultaneously, a subtle signal passes between Kelly and Trevor, a shared understanding conveyed through a nod. Sensing the desire for a private moment, they excuse themselves, cloaking their departure in the guise of weariness from the day’s exertions. Chuckles ripple through the remaining group, anticipating an intimate interlude between the two. Once inside the cozy tent, Kelly ignites a candle, casting a warm glow that bathes the space in a romantic light. She catches Trevor's gaze as he begins to undress, and a magnetic pull draws them closer, their hearts syncing with the rhythm of desire. Trevor, enraptured by her beauty, gently pulls her into an intimate embrace, setting the stage for a night filled with passion and connection as he unclips her bra, exposing her breasts.

Tenderly kissing her neck, he gently guides her down onto the bed, cradling her within the warmth of his arms. Trevor slowly and gently starts to tease her as he moves lower down her body. Kelly, overwhelmed by the pleasure placed on her by Trevor as she reaches her climax, pushed Trevor onto his back. Their eyes intertwine, delving into the depths of each other's souls as she climbs on top of him. Trevor, with a gentle smile, caresses Kelly's cheek with his left hand, embracing the profound and passionate moment as he penetrates her.

Kelly biting her lower lips as she feels a pleasurable pain which disappears the more their bodies thrust against each other. Passion envelops the atmosphere inside the tent as they share this intimate moment, illuminated by the soft glow of candlelight. Once climaxed, Trevor finds tranquility while resting his head on Kelly's breast, wrapped in her arms, they slowly drift away into sleep. A veil of passion shrouds their minds, erasing any trace of the chilling tale Craig shared by the campfire.

The following morning, the dying embers of last night’s fire barely illuminating the campsite, the group awakens to the ominous sound of the ranger’s vehicle halting nearby. Craig, the first to rise, hastily throws on his shirt and heads towards the approaching ranger. Devon follows suit, curiosity etched on their faces. As Melissa tends to a new fire, preparing coffee, the ranger, declining the offer, reveals a photograph from his shirt pocket. It portrays a family that had vanished just hours ago, their campsite ravaged in a manner eerily reminiscent of a bear attack. Strangely, there is no sign of the family except for two sinister drag marks leading into the depths of the woods. The ranger grimly informs them that he’s systematically canvassing from campsite to campsite, desperately seeking any information about strange occurrences or sightings over the past few hours. His aim is to gather clues that might aid the search and rescue team in their urgent quest to locate the missing family.

Despite the unsettling sounds emanating from Kelly and Trevor’s tent during their passionate night, Devon and Craig, when questioned by the ranger, claimed to have heard nothing unusual and observed nothing out of the ordinary in the surroundings. The ranger, seemingly satisfied with their responses, bid them a cautious farewell, emphasizing the unknown nature of the events surrounding the missing family and the unidentified threat that loomed. They acknowledged his words with a nod, exchanging uneasy glances as the ranger drove off to join the ongoing search party. A chilling ambiance descends upon the campsite as Devon and Craig rejoin the group around the campfire. Melissa, Trevor, Kelly, and Dawn have gathered, attempting to dispel the unease by brewing coffee. Craig promptly shares the disturbing news about the missing family, casting a shadow of fear over the group. Dawn, visibly anxious, urges an immediate departure, but reassurances from Kelly and Melissa convince them to stay. Despite their decision to press on with the trip, an agreement lingers—an agreement to tread cautiously through the ominous woods that surround them. As the group hesitantly continues with their camping activities, an underlying tension envelops them, amplifying the rustling sounds of the forest. The day unfolds with a reluctant attempt at normalcy. They hike, share laughter, and partake in the joys of the wilderness, yet the specter of the missing family looms. The woods, once perceived as a haven, now seem like a labyrinth fraught with hidden dangers.

As night descends, the group gathers around the campfire for warmth and a feeble sense of security. Devon tries to lighten the mood with jokes, but even his usually infectious laughter falls flat in the solemn air. Dawn, glancing into the surrounding darkness, can’t shake the feeling of being watched. The shadows cast by the flickering campfire dance eerily, and every crackle of a twig sends shivers down their spines. Their tents stand like guardians against the encroaching darkness, providing a fragile barrier between them and the unknown. Craig, feeling uneasy, suggests they take turns keeping watch throughout the night. The suggestion is met with nods, each member silently acknowledging the shared apprehension.

Trevor and Kelly decide to take the first watch. Sitting close to the dying embers of the campfire, they exchange nervous glances. The sounds of the night intensify—the distant howl of a lone wolf, the hooting of an owl, and the occasional rustle of leaves. Every small noise sends a jolt of anxiety through their veins.

As Trevor ventured into the ominous woods to gather more firewood, the atmosphere became thick with an unsettling tension. The once comforting sounds of his whistling and the rhythmic cadence of footsteps on the forest floor now transformed into an eerie symphony that echoed through the darkness.

Kelly, left alone by the flickering flames, strained her senses to maintain a vigilant watch over the surrounding shadows. As Trevor’s silhouette gradually disappeared into the obscurity behind their tent, a gnawing unease settled over her.

The distant echoes of Trevor’s whistling now felt haunting, the melody warped into a dissonant tune that sent shivers down her spine. Each snap of a twig beneath his feet became an ominous prelude, an unsettling harmony that resonated with the unseen forces lurking in the depths of the woods.

As time stretched, the forest seemed to close in on Kelly, the silence between Trevor’s footfalls amplifying the oppressive suspense. Her imagination ran wild with vivid visions of what might be concealed in the veil of shadows—phantoms watching, malevolent entities waiting to seize an unsuspecting victim.

A sudden stillness enveloped the campsite, intensifying Kelly’s anxiety. The crackle of the campfire became an eerie whisper, and the distant hoots of nocturnal creatures took on a sinister undertone. Kelly’s breath caught in her throat, her senses heightened to an acute awareness of the encroaching darkness.

When moments turned into an agonizing eternity, Kelly’s heart raced with a nameless dread. Her attempts to call out to Trevor met only with an oppressive silence, his whistling and footsteps swallowed by the foreboding symphony of the woods.

As Kelly contemplated the haunting possibility that Trevor had become entangled in the malevolent forces concealed behind the tent, the forest seemed to hold its breath, as if the very trees were complicit in some sinister secret. The ominous weight of the unknown pressed upon her, and the boundary between reality and the macabre blurred.

In the face of mounting terror, Kelly grappled with the decision to confront the hidden horrors lurking in the shadows or remain paralyzed by the nightmarish uncertainty that clung to the darkness. The suspenseful silence hung in the air.
