Chapter 1 Invitations
Hello, my name is Martha Bay. I'm turning eleven in exactly two weeks I'm so excited for my birthday party. I'm going into my backyard. Today is December 8th, and it's a Sunday. I have to make my invitations today. My best friend, Vivian is coming over to help me out. Suddenly I hear a knock at the door "Hi Vivian!" I say excitedly "Hi so, I brought my coloring supplies and lots and lots of paper." She explains as I lead her upstairs to my room. Once we get up there, she sets her supplies down and we lay on my pink heart shaped carpet. "So what theme are u thinking about for the invitations." "I'm thinking some purple and blue maybe some sort of nighttime theme" She nods her head as she takes notes on her notepad. "Ok let's get to work" she says as she picks out her colored pencils and markers.
4 hours later
"Omg finally were done" I say sighing with relief "They look awesome!" I exclaim to Vivian "Ring" her phone starts to buzz she says she has to go and that dinners ready I thank her on her way out. "MARTHA" Mom yells from the kitchen " DINNERS READY" "COMING MOM" I yell back from my room. I walk into the diner room my dog jumps on me I say in a stern voice "No Oliver No". I continue to walk in to take my seat, and I look at my plate to see the worst meal of my life Mashed potatoes, corn, liver and milk. As I look around my plate once I get to the liver, I gag a bit I also give it a disgusted look "What's wrong honey?" My mom asks as I am still giving a disgusting look. I slowly ask, " Where did this.... liver come from" Before she could answer I scaredy yell "You're not Jeffery Dahmer are you!" "No sweetie" my mom says as she lets out a quiet chuckle. I told my mom that I wasn't hungry and that I had lost my appetite. After that I went to bed but first, I took a shower. After thirty minutes of lying there I finally fell asleep.
