Summary

Darius Howard is an up and coming singer. His shows are filled with ladies waiting to meet him and get to know him in more ways than one. One night, he meets Isis and sparks begin to fly. Darius starts to fall in love with Isis as they meet up secretly due to Isis having a rough relationship with her music producer boyfriend, Tavion Sanders. Analia Cunningham is Darius' good friend from high school as well as a background singer on a few of his songs. She has been in love with Darius since she can remember but he has no idea. Analia has been waiting in the background for Darius to 'see' her. However, he has been utterly clueless, especially since meeting Isis. Darius finds out that Isis is getting married to Tavion even though they have been hooking up for months. Darius thought he had a chance with her since Isis would always call to hook up with him, but in her eyes he was always a friend with benefits. She had no intentions of leaving Tavion. Meanwhile Analia is ready to give up on the love she has for Darius and move on. Another rising singer, Taye Mitchell, has caught Analia's attention. Their friends, Marcus and Siedah try to help Darius realize that the person who he had been looking for has been right beside him the entire time. Will Darius be able to finally see the love Analia has for him? Will Analia wait around long enough for Darius to catch on?

Prologue

After my performance, The owner of the club approached me. He gave me an invitation to join the club, Shadow Falls.

That was amazing! Even though I’m interested in the offer, I am more intrigued by the beautiful woman and wonder if she is associated with the club.

I need to decide if I’ll accept the invitation. What would it mean?

If I go along with the invite at the club, will I see the beautiful woman again?

I need to find out who she is and why she is so intrigued with me.

I told the owner of the club, I needed to think about the invitation and I will get back to him.

I noticed the woman watching me as I spoke with the owner. As soon as the owner leaves, she approaches.

“Hello,” she said, looking directly into my eyes.

“Hello,” I replied.

“I noticed you staring at me,”

“I’m sorry, my bad,” I said.

“No it’s okay,” she smiles, “I liked it,”

“Oh,” I said, raising my eyebrows.

“You’re an excellent performer,” she said.

“And you’re a beautiful woman.” I replied.
