Military personnel, who had once assisted travellers with directions and smiles, now moved with a sense of urgency, their faces etched with determination, and their uniforms symbolising the last line of defence in a world that had changed beyond recognition.
I am Charlie, an unlikely protagonist in this narrative, thrust into a role I could never have anticipated. In a world forever altered, we stand on the brink of a solution, a glimmer of hope that promises to restore the missing population to our lives.
