Chapter 01

Do you ever have moments in your life that you would like to forget at all costs? You'll probably be wondering why Kamijo himself is asking you about this, because he recently had one of these and there was nothing he could do about it. And the worst thing about it all was that this day still - for some reason - haunted him at every step, out of spite. Especially since it was the first time he had such a realistic dream in such a long time. It's no wonder that he continued to recover a bit after all this. In fact, he was still surprised and wondered how he had such a dream. Considering that he was still sleepwalking during it, and that doesn't happen to vampires, does it? Therefore, having no other choice, Kamijo remained, like the shadow of the Phantom of the Louvre, moving forward, while looking around to see if he saw anyone famous.

Not to mention that like some thief, ears twitching or anyone accidentally approaching him while he was trying to get into his closet. Although he was aware of how it could look very suspicious in the eyes of other people, which was completely understandable. This is because he wrapped his coat tightly around himself and at the same time pressed his hat tighter on his head, not forgetting about his sunglasses and the mask he was currently wearing. Although today it was surprisingly cloudy and from time to time raindrops fell in a monotonous rhythm from the sky. Like it or not, he was kind of glad that he had taken an umbrella with him, because otherwise it wouldn't have been very interesting for him. Either way, he still encountered people here and there looking at him with suspicion.

At the same time wondering what made him behave this way. From their expressions, Kamijo could tell that they had no idea about this stupid incident. Which, as you know, was quite a relief for his already non-beating heart. This was because he had no intention of revealing this to them, he was one hundred percent sure, meanwhile entering the building and closing the umbrella he had in his hands. Closing the door carefully behind you so as not to slam it out of nervousness and draw unwanted attention to yourself. He was so lost in thought that he almost landed on the ceiling when suddenly he heard familiar voices. Voices that made him automatically hide in the nearest alcove so that they wouldn't accidentally notice him.

And the voices belonged to none other than Yuki, Masashi, Teru, and worst of all, Hizaki himself. Hizaki, whose tone of voice still showed that he was terribly furious with him. It's no wonder that he slowed down his breathing out of shock, silently hoping that they would escape from this nasty place as soon as possible.

Because if this doesn't happen, he will be forced to spend more time in this place than he should. And he wasn't going to talk about them now, Kamijo was one hundred percent sure of that. Especially since he didn't have the courage to do it and that was the worst thing about it. Not to mention the fact that he wasn't sure if Hizaki didn't still have the damn frying pan he hit on that fateful day, hidden under his clothes. That's why he was so afraid of confronting Hizaki himself, which, according to others, might seem idiotic. There was nothing he could do about it and that was where the dog really was buried. That's why it was so difficult for him to do it. And no one was able to help him in this respect. He had to deal with his anger on his own, and it wasn't as easy as he thought.

“But I'd rather not take the risk…,” Kamijo thought after a while, listening to their further exchange of sentences.

Turning off the voice on the phone so that it doesn't accidentally reveal his presence. He didn't even want to know what they would say if they discovered him eavesdropping so shamelessly. Which, as we know, was not intentional, because everyone could listen to the sum totals, so it didn't have to be him, to be honest. On the other hand, he still couldn't understand why they were still talking about it. As if they felt they had no other topics to talk about, which irritated him a bit. And only about how he accidentally got into Teru and then got hit with a frying pan by Hizaki himself. Hizaki, who, as he now remembered, was very, very angry about this.

He just sighed quietly, hoping that they would finally give him that legitimate peace. Otherwise, he had no idea whether he would be able to cope with them during today's concert. And even more so, how they would behave on it today was the most important thing for him now. Either way, Kamijo returned to eavesdropping on their stupid conversation. Until they finally decide to disappear from his sight so he can leave his hiding place and move on. Which was the only reasonable solution that came to his mind at the moment. Especially since he didn't really want to listen to what they were saying about him, but he had no other choice, no matter which way he looked at it, he didn't like it.

“Let them finally finish, because I will soon grow roots in this place!,” Kamijo muttered under his breath, slightly irritated.

At the same time, imagining it sprouting roots, then branches, and finally leaves and maybe flowers. Just imagining it made him sigh quietly and focus his eyes and ears on them. And with each moment, he wanted to get away from this place for good more and more. On the other hand, he couldn't avoid them forever and one day he would finally have to face them. That's why he sighed heavily and all he had to do was grit his teeth and get through it. That's because he couldn't just jump out from behind the glass and tell them what he thought about all this! Because if he did that, he would only sink into their eyes, which, as we know, he wanted to avoid as much as possible. No wonder he had conflicting thoughts about what he was really supposed to do. Which didn't take long, because he was pulled out of his thoughts by the words spoken by Masashi himself.

“I never thought Kamijo would pull such a stunt!,” Masashi announced after a while as he headed straight for their dressing room, but was stopped by Yuki himself.

Izzy Rhae : By far one of the best werewolf books I’ve read. Definitely some plot holes that confused me, like does birth control preventative options not exist? Or like why wouldn’t they leave the area during the purge. A little clarification might have helped. But overall that doesn’t matter because the world...
