A Call?
Fresh off his title in British F3, Arthur was celebrating at his home in Belgium with his family and Megan of course, they were so deep into their relationship that they were essentially living together.
All of a sudden, there was a knock on the door, Arthur went to look through the keyhole with Megan clutching at Arthur's arm, there were two mysterious figures standing outside, motionless.
Arthur being extra cautious, slowly opens the door and the figure on the left grabbed Arthur by the collar of his new shirt he got as a gift from Max Verstappen for winning the British F3 title, the man said with a dark tone and grown in his voice demanded "Do not go straight to Formula 1 otherwise, if you do, we will look for you, we will find you, and we will put you back in the hospital."
The mysterious figure then threw Arthur onto the ground before a familiar figure appeared from behind scolding the mysterious figure, stating that isn't how they told them to do it. Just then Arthur made out who the figure was and it was to his and Megan's shock, Freddie Butler who Arthur hadn't seen since he and Spencer Shinner visited Arthur in the hospital.
Arthur was enraged and pushed Freddie, making him fall down on the concrete pavement. Freddie clearly was hurt by it, however Arthur didn't care, he had in his mind just lost one of his best friends.
Just as Freddie got up and was walking away, Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet got out of their 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron with Kelly's daughter Penelope Kvyat (Danil Kvyat's daughter) who would be turning 9 years old this year. All three of them then stood and looked curiously at Freddie and the two hooded figures as they left the estate.
Lead by Max, they then go up to the front door, clearly seeing Arthur seething with anger and carefully asked what just happened. Megan began telling the story then Arthur cut her off, just saying "getting rid of dead weight". Megan's faced turned to shock after hearing something she never thought she would hear from Arthur.
Max and Kelly were stunned, this was a completely different side to Arthur then they have ever seen. They both nervously asked what he meant by him getting rid of dead weight, he explained “they told me not to go to F1 this season”. Max and Kelly again not knowing what to say just stood there shocked until Penelope asked Megan if they could play, Megan asked Kelly and Max if it was fine, Kelly snapped out of the shock immediately and allowed Penelope to go with Megan but Penelope didn't want to until she got Max's permission, who was still in shock and awe over what he heard from Arthur.
Arthur managed to take a few deep breaths which helped calm himself down and then shook Max's arm to break his shock but it didn't work, so Kelly did something unexpected, she licked her finger and put it in Max's ear and it immediately worked, grossing Max out to the point where he asked in a slightly laughing voice why she did that. Kelly then explained that Penelope would only play with Max's permission. Max was again shocked but he immediately gave Penelope permission to play with Megan.
Just then Max asked "Why in the world would you not go to Formula 1, you clearly have the talent for it." Kelly nodded at this signalling she agrees.
Just then Arthur gets a call from an unknown number. Arthur was about to decline the call when Max told him to stop and asked where they are calling from and what the last 4 digits are, Arthur said Stuttgart and 3975 are the final 4 digits. Max egarly told Arthur to answer and so he did with a drop of nervousness.
Arthur's jaw dropped when the caller who had a female voice informed him of their name. "Hello Arthur Goossens, this is a representative of Max Verstappen, who is the new team principal of the new Porsche Racing team in F1".
Megan, leaving Penelope to play with her friends on Roblox, came over and asked Arthur who it is, Arthur still in disbelief shushes Megan until he finished the call. Arthur follows up with a simple question of "How can I help you miss?"
The representative then simply asked "Is Mr. Verstappen standing in front of you?" which Arthur confirms. The representative then finishes the call saying "I think Mr. Verstappen can take it from here, have a nice day sir." Arthur replies with a simple "You too, thank you." The representative hangs up the phone, Arthur puts his in his pocket and lowers his head and closes his eyes before slowly looking up and opening his eyes just as he is starting to make face to face contact with Max...
