Chapter 1
1693, in Salem, Massachusetts during the spring…
The chirping sound of the crickets was the only audible sound her ears could pick up. She sat, visionless, under a Bigot tree, fainting with every breath she took. Despite the wound from the spears and arrows from the Massachusetts soldiers hunting her, she had a single arrow, cruelly piercing her flesh just below the nape of her neck which drained much of her strength and blood.
She was completely still, and as time passed, her surroundings faded to black. Finally, she succumbed to her injuries and collapsed onto the ground, unconscious.
