You know what I die to hear
Amara Miral, had always thought Miracle City was a beautiful place, in the way that the lowlands island of Oceania, or like a leaning palms stand with broad fanlike leaves.
It was like a collosal, striking warrior, uncompromising in every single angle.
The exotic air of it's atmosphere was a perfect setting for her eyes, so intriguing, so peaceful but so mysterious. When one could live in it, one was bound to also experience its darkness and either win against it or get consumed by it. It was too dark that the heart was barely distinguished by it's owner. Still it was the same city that had granted her the greatest pleasures of her life. Her hair was thick and black as a well cleaned horse's hanks, her brows strong and unwavering. And her soft plump naturally red lips that curved into a sarcastic smile that one billionaire man found it venturous. Miral. His heart roll coaster, but never his. He'd met her three months ago when he'd found himself at an isolated island, in a dispensary after he'd suffered from extreme fever. Although he'd thought that he'll never see her again, Blyke had looked for her everywhere, until he found her again.
Blyke arrived at the hotel suite that he'd spend steamy nights with her and stood at the bedroom's door and looked at her as she packed her suitcase with a few toiletries, clothes but a bunch of medical books, that is when he'd also seen his lost souvenir, a thin black jade necklace.
As Miral packed her suitcase, she was plainly aware of Blyke's figure. She had been with him for a while now and she used to be aware of what always lurked beneath his stillness, because she was used to yearning for him, this was different. The thought of leaving him was breaking her heart. And yet there was no choice. Blyke would not accept such a fate. He had vowed to never let her go, to enjoy his life with her, just like most people does, he didn't want to take her for granted , but he painstakingly did. Now Miral was packing ready to leave, leave him completely , to let go of his heart. With her last conversation with him, there was no possiblity that she was going to consider him again.
Everything was already changed, she was departing this very day and gods only knew to where. Blyke had send his men to confirm if she'd booked any tickets whether at the airport, at the marina , train station or even the bus station but surprisingly she hadn't. His attempts to figure her out were unorthodox, controversial, but Blyke didn't care. He would have done everything to make her stay but he couldn't, he'd hurt her so much. She'd witnessed how he was busy pounding a waiter a day before in the swimming pool, she'd watched how the girl was not able to hold back her voice, how he penetrated her fleshy pussy from behind , the girl extremely naked while he had his robe on, he'd only seen her when he groaned loudly and came intensively spurting his seeds all over the girl's behind. She hadn't questioned him about it, she had infact walked past them and sat at the edge the pool floor, her legs immersed in the cool water.
Blyke had hurt her badly, and he knew it, he wanted her to scream , curse at him or even beat him up, but she did neither, all he needed was to wait. Because until that day came, he could never have Miral.
"Don't go," he said, so softly that she almost didn't hear him. Miral struggled to remain outwardly calm, even as a hot-and-cold chill went down her spine.
"Please sit down," she managed to say. They needed to lay everything out between them in one way or the other. Blyke moved to the grey squashy chair and sat on it. Color had fallen from his sapple face, and his black eyes glittered with a guilty that wasn't at all like him. He was all eager at this moment, his emotions closer to the surface than he ever usually allowed. Miral closed her suitcase, carried it near the door before shutting it.
While she did all that, Blyke was in a daze, it was like every action of hers was causing a fatal harm to him.
" Why should I stay, Blyke?" She sat on the bed and asked him tenderly. "I need you ."
"You don't need me, you only want me " she said. "I have faith in my mind. Your actions were sound clear and sensible to me, and I can tell you, it had high success rate in destroying whatever we've been sharing-"
"I've had as many failures as successes. There are better ways to settle this. We should try them first."
"I think my best way to settle this lie with that waiter ." Miral smiled into Blyke's hard black eyes, understanding the things he couldn't say. "I can't do this anymore."
He ignored that. Any attempt she made to bring their feelings to dark was always met with rock-hard resistance. He would never admit he cared for her, or treat her as anything other than a compatible bed warmer to him, that's what they had agreed on , that their relationship was that of fulfilling each other's desires. While he went on with his pursuits. To convince her to stay, Miral had already made up her mind. Despite Blyke's discretion in personal matters, Miral was certain there had been more than a few women who had given him their bodies, and used him for their own pleasure. Something bleak and angry rose from the depths of her soul at the thought of how Blyke had pounded that girl. It was a big shock to her to feel like that even after knowing how their relationship worked , it was one with no feelings attached.
Seeing how his face had different expressions , Miral thought, Very well, Blyke. If this is what you never showed me for the past three months, I'll be straight forward. We'll have a pleasant, emotion - less , no strings attached good-bye.
Later she would suffer in private, knowing it would be good if she didn't see him again. But that was better than being closer to him, forever in bed and yet apart, their rule between them .
"Well," she said briskly, "I'll be off soon. And there's no need to worry, Blyke.
I'll take good care of myself just as I've always done, and-"
"Your just going to drown yourself in work," Blyke said harshly. "You're not going. You'll stay here, where I can-"
He bit off the words. But Miral had heard a note of something like fury, or anguish, buried in his deep voice. This was getting interesting. Her heart began to thump. "There…" She had to pause to catch her breath. "There's only one thing that could stop me from leaving."
He shot her an alert glance. "What is it?"
It took her a long moment to summon the courage to speak. "That you'll stay away from me, you wouldn't bother me. Tell me, and I'll stay."
The black eyes widened. The sound of his indrawn breath cut through the serene air like the downward arc of a scapel on a skin . He was silent, frozen. A curious mixture of amusement and despair surged through Miral as she waited for his reply.
"I… I can promise you everything but…"
"No. You know that's not what I'm asking for." Miral moved toward him and lifted her pale hands to his chest, resting her palms on a surface of tough, unyielding muscle. She felt the response that jolted through him. "Please," she said, hating the desperate edge in her own voice, "I wouldn't care if you fucked every girl, every female waiter in this hotel, if I could just gain my-"
