I love this author's style of writing and the suspense she builds with every chapter. It is constantly entertaining and yet the plot drives strong from one cliffhanger to the next. I love the detail, and how she describes the female MC's inner feelings so vividly as her sexuality awakens. I love that Natalia isn't just a passenger of Neill's alpha naughtiness but she is a force to be reckoned with! I can't wait to see how this story unwinds!"

"Well, I wrote my first review at about 200 pages when I really loved it - loved the writing style, the word play, the story promised longing for forbidden fruit... I got all of that, but at almost 1400 pages I just have to reevaluate my stars. The writing style is still interesting and unique, the word play is a little less common in the chapters but still really entertaining. However, I guess I'm too prudish for this story. I generally don't mind BDSM, I sometime enjoy dark romance, but here it just rubs me the wrong way. He's grooming her, claiming it's love, but he just enjoys his plaything. He doesn't really care for her or respect her. She doesn't really have the chance to say no. He just pushes her into a situation ignoring her implicit (and in the last chapter explicit) no and when she enjoys herself even if she didn't want it at first, they both take it as a proof that it was consensual. I guess if they were closer in age or if she had a chance to leave the situation, I'd be more inclined to see the "love" in that. But she's stuck between a rock and a hard place where she can choose barely surviving with her neglecting mother or being fed and clothed propeply and paying with her body. It's been a while since I read the blurb and trigger warnings at the beginning of the book, but I doubt there are any regarding grooming and rape, because the description of their intercourse certainly feels like one (and with Joan too). But again, maybe I'm just too prudish..."
