Satina

A book, a book, I had to write a book…

My friends were all entering a writing competition, and had told me that if I entered too then I could go to their meetings and eat pizza and whatnot.

What to write about though?

I only had to have the beginning finished right away in order to have something to present to the gang, and that shouldn’t be so tough, right?

I internet-searched writing prompts, and found one that seemed decent enough.

It said, “Write a story about two people who are in love but can’t be together because God disapproves.”

Lol, who wrote this prompt, Satan?

Seemed worth doing though, and worst case scenario would be that God would get mad about my book and condemn me to Hell for forever and a day.

No problem, right?

Okay, it was time to start writing…

Satina & Anwil vs. God

Chapter 1: Satina

I was walking home from my college classes one day when I was shocked to hear a woman’s voice calling out to someone.

Was she calling out to me?

It turned out that she wasn’t…

‘sigh’

Would I ever meet the woman of my dreams?

I continued walking home to my apartment, and then I heard voices form a nearby alley.

“We’ve got you this time, Satina! Time for you to go back to Hell where you belong!”

“Nooooooo! You can’t do this! Someone please help me!”

“None of your fellow humans who you threw under the bus by joining Satan will be helping you today! It’s time for you to pay for your sins!”

The woman’s voice sounded so lovely, and I wondered if maybe she’d go out with me if I saved her.

But, wait… Did I really wanna join Satan’s side in a fight? Wasn’t Satan the master of evil?

But then! I heard Satina’s lovely voice call out for help again, and all of my good senses left me!

I would save this damsel!, even if it would put me on the wrong side of the fight between God and Satan!

I rushed into the alley, and saw that there were two winged people (who I figured must be angels) who had Satina in handcuffs, and I said, “Leave Satina alone, angels!”

“My champion!” Satina cried, “I love you! We should be together! Just you and me!, forever!”

“I agree!” I cried out!, as I tried to tackle one of the angels, “I’ll always be in love with you, and only you; and our love is the greatest love that’s ever existed!”

Suddenly!, God entered the alley and said, “You two are most certainly in love, but you can never be together because Satina must go to Hell to pay for her sins and you are only bad enough to deserve Purgatory. You’d have to commit a lot more sins to be allowed into Hell, Anwil, and I really don’t think that you have it in you.”

And, before I could even lunge towards God to attack them, God and the angels flew into the air and took Satina with them!

“Noooooo!” I cried, “I’ll find you, Satina, and we’ll be together one day!”

“I know that you will, Anwil, my love!” Satina wailed!, “They can’t take away our love, no matter how hard they try!, and we’ll soon be together again!”

And, before I could respond, God and the angels put on a burst of super-speed!, and Satina was out of sight!

I cried and cried and cried, and then wiped my tears away and tried to figure out how to get to her.

Well, God had said that I’d only be able to join Satina in Hell if I committed a ton more sins, and so I supposed that a $#!+-ton of sinning was what I was going to have to do…
