looking for feedback and if i should write full story

Shouting, laughing, tears falling hitting the ground. All in good fun as the soldiers are gathered ’round playing their old time games doing whatever they can to pass the time waiting to hear the call of who will be set on the team. No one knows what they will be getting into and it chills the men as they do their best to stay strong. “ATTENTION”, yells the captain as he bursts through the door with a series of papers with names no one can quite make out. “In my hand I have the names that will make up the Rico squad. I cannot tell you how hard it was to choose but each person we chose for their skills and team work.” The captain takes out his glasses while all the soldiers stand in anticipation, nervous and dry throated, waiting to hear their names. “ Ok! Leading this squad will be none other than Sergeant O’mally.” O’mally stepped forward and shouted at the top of his lungs, “Yes Sir”, with a smile on his face knowing this is his chance to make his name known to all departments. The captain nodded his head is a slow motion showing approval of the smile O’mally portrayed. “ Moving on, this team will need three specialists: a sniper, a hacker, and an explosive expert. For these spots I can think of no better choices than Clover as a sniper, Ratchet as the hacker, and Sanders as your explosive expert.” All three leaped forward while O’mally shot a quick glance at the men he went through training with, happy to now have them at his side thinking of no better squad to lead and no better men he would rather have protecting and watching his back in what will be a deadly mission at the very least. Ratchet walked over to O’mally with a quick outspeech, “Its an honor to follow you sir.” As they were making their way to the briefing room the Captain chipped up and said “hold it!” in a quick, stern voice. “We have one more that will be joining you as an all rounder. He will be there to asset any one of you in your position in basic hand work to allow things to be more protective, so please say hello to Private Douglas.” And there it was, Rico team complete with their fifth and final member.

Everyone looking around the room, questioning why a new recruit would be assigned to such a squad with a mission that could change the world. O’mally spoke up and said, “Eyes front soldiers, im not going to be repeating this later so listen close.” In unison Clover, Ratchet, and Sanders turned forward with a stern glare and said, “Yes Sir!” Douglas in the back focusing on the board waiting and anticipating his first mission. The Captain took over, “Now that all the sight seeing is over lets get started. We received word that there is an up and coming terrorist leader that is becoming more and more advantageous on destabilizing the economy to start all out war. His name we were able to extract from a foot soldier we were able to capture in Latakia. After a long 13 hour conversation, we now know the name of this terrorist is Dragovic. But even though we know that we don’t know anything else about him. Your mission is to deploy secretly in Latakia and find out who runs that area and how deep Dragovics roots run in the Syrian organization. You will have no backup once you touch down, so get ready now.” The Captain left the room and silence fell over the soldiers all wondering how difficult this operation will be. Clover looked at O’mally and muttered, “Are you sure this is the type of mission we should bring a newbie on. Can’t you convince the Captain to reconsider Douglas?” O’mally glanced over at Douglas and saw him shoot a nod back. “ Look like it or not he’s qualified and is coming with us Clove and he will be helping everyone on the team including watching your back and spotting for you in range so if i were you, I’d get to know him”, O’mally said with a little chuckle. “Ok boys, gear up and pack up cause its gonna be a long flight. Douglas, you report with Clover here, he’ll make sure you got what you need”, He said as he patted Clover on the back and smiled. Douglas chimed in, “I look forward to working with you, sir.” All five walk out the room and walk together. To any straying eyes that fell upon them, saw what looked to be a well timed and oil machine, but in reality, most of them were nervous and waiting to see how bad this secret mission will be. All nervous but two brave souls. O’mally, and the newest one Douglas.
